Out of Retirement featuring GM Linda Zayas-Palmer

Saturday afternoon, 1:00–6:00 pm, 2016 • Cascade 1

Wish you could play one of the retired Season 0 Pathfinder Society scenarios for official credit? This is a rare chance to do just that. For six lucky Pathfinders, one scenario will be brought out of retirement, updated to the Pathfinder RPG rules set, revamped and revised, and run as an official Pathfinder Society event. This scenario will be determined by the participants ahead of time, and will offer an official (updated) Chronicle sheet upon completion.

Hi, Linda et al.

I was lucky enough to get this event in the lottery. If there is another thread concerning this event, then please redirect me.

Of the retired scenarios, the only one I have played is Skeletal Moon. So anything else is fine by me.

Grand Lodge Developer

Hi all!

For the Out of Retirement adventure, I recommend Eternal Obelisk. I converted that one myself last year. It's different enough from the original adventure to be a new experience even if you played it in season 0 before it retired. It has some pretty cool features and a nifty Chronicle sheet. Let me know if that works for you guys. If not, I'm happy to discuss other options.

The Exchange

I managed to get this event as well!

Since I started playing pretty much simultaneously with the retirements, all of them are fair game for me.

The Eternal Obelisk works for me. I was kinda thinking that The Third Riddle might tie in to next year's theme if that's an option...

I'm fine with Eternal Obelisk. No problem with the other one either.

Scarab Sages

Hi Lindaa,

I think eternal obelisk woul be great.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

Jim

Eternal Obelisk sounds good to me too since I've never played it.

I'm currently planning on bringing a Cleric/9.

The Exchange

Sounds like The Eternal Obelisk it is.

I'll bring a. . . well, let's just say an 8th level devotee of Irori.

Spoiler:
Samsaran Monk (Sensei) 1/Inquisitor (Sacred Huntmaster) 4/Evangelist (prestige class) 3
Has a (white) tiger animal companion (totem guide) sent from Irori to guide him on the path to enlightenment.
The tiger has a familiar (mascot) who passes along cryptic koans.

If we are going for high tier I have:

Spoiler:

Level 7 - Halfling Urban Ranger, Wayang Unchained Rogue, or Tengu Cavalier/Druid
Level 8 – Aasimar Sylvan Sorcerer
Level 9 – Half-elf Magus/Steel Falcon

Dark Archive

Linda,

Have you decided which scenario we will play?

What character does everyone intend to bring?

Jim

Can someone confirm the scenario and what level character we should bring?

Thanks!

Grand Lodge Developer

Whoops, thought I confirmed earlier. I'll be running Eternal Obelisk (Tier 5–9).

Thank you! Looking forward to it.

Bringing a lvl8 Dwarf druid. Can also level all the way down to 5. Just let me know by Friday night.

Grand Lodge

Also bringing lvl8 druid (Halfling) and can re-level.

Scarab Sages

Linda,

Thanks for running.

Was a lot of fun!

Jim

The Exchange

This game was a blast! The most animal companions I have EVER seen at a single table yet somehow we managed to not go insane trying to fit everyone into tight spaces.

I really enjoyed all the roleplaying we got to do here. It was great to see the whole table involved with the interactions. Sure you can go around attacking everything in sight but it's so much more satisfying to recruit them into the Pathfinder Society. We may have lost the dance-off but we made plenty of friends.

Linda, this was a really fun table and I loved being able to play something I don't even normally have a chance at. If I have a chance to get into one of these again I will definitely jump at it!

Two words: critical dance.

Scarab Sages

Aye when I leveled up after i put a point in perform dance!

Jim
