Howdy all! Excited to do some PBP for the first time. Apologies if I stumble a bit - I appreciate your patience as I learn the ropes.

Hi, everyone.
@GM: This gameplay is not working correctly at the moment for typically dotting and deleting. I can not see my posts, I do not show up in player roster, so if it has the delayed glitch, I might have a few dot posts in gameplay that will be past delete time edit window.
@Yuuko: Hi. What 'dotting gameplay' or 'dot and delete' refers to is making a post in gameplay, then deleting it. by posting in gameplay the alias you used to post in gameplay gets added to both the player roster tab and the character roster tab.
I also like the player handle you came up with, nice phonetics for foreign concept. :)

That's weird. I still don't see you in the roster, so that's quite a delay.
@Yuuko: The reason we call it "dotting" is that after you post in a thread the forum software will put a dot next to that thread on the list; e.g., if you navigate HERE (the list of all gameplay threads), you'll see a dot next to the name of this one. (Incidentally, if you're going to use that list for anything I strongly recommend hiding the games you're not playing in by clicking the little ∅ next to the thread name. It's tedious, but then this isn't exactly cutting-edge software.)

Also a reminder: this game won't be starting until early October, as I'm running another quest and don't have the bandwidth to run both at the same time.

Got it to work.
For whatever reason trying to add just a period (like I usually do) was still not working, so I tried ". dot" and that worked.

Ah. I wasn't entirely clear on the whole "delete it after bit". Makes sense in hindsight, but it's too late to delete unfortunately.
I haven't used the forums for pbp in a while. Have I set up everything I need for the game on my profile?
| DM Carbide |
No problem; it's only in the first couple of posts, and I haven't put up the intro yet.

Please fill out the table on the second slide.

No problem! I've had the same issue; was hoping to have two games done by now, and neither of them are quite there yet.

We're still missing one player, who also hasn't signed up in RPGChronicles. I'll post something in Cottonseed.

Hi everyone, @GM thank you for messaging, so sorry for being late! I look forward to the game, and thanks for running @GM!

Xinpatgar would attempt to recall knowledege with his +7 society. Sorry I forgot to add that, the first draft of that post got eaten while I was trying to figure out what season Triaxus is in during Pathfinder times.

Yuuko, for some reason your Pathbuilder character profile isn't loading for me. Could you verify the number, and let me know what languages you speak?
Xinpatgar, what languages do you speak? I didn't see any listed on your profile.

Internet went out. Tech stopping in tomorrow morning. Hopefully will have internet back tomorrow.

I'll be traveling most of the day and unable to post.

Construction cut internet cable, I should have internet again in 24 to 48 hours.

Thanks, Yuuko.
Kaldren, I still need you to fill out the table in the slides.

Finally have home internet again.
It was not a cut wire. Someone stole a lot of copper wiring from the building, and the phone company finally finished the job replacing things today. I do not have much energy left today and have stuff I have to head out for tomorrow. I should be finished getting caught up on most of the PBPs I am in by Wednesday evening, prioritizing the Game Day PBPs first.

Good to have that resolved. No fights or skill checks yet, so you didn't miss much.

The Runelord bit wasn't originally part of the gag, just a reaction to where are sloths even located on Golarion and why would Kal recognize it? Hence bear. But, the Runelord bit hit me a couple days ago and I've been hoping someone would take the "bait".
Thank you everyone for indulging my goofiness.
There was also a thought of a meta gag and 'sloth bear'

Correct; Lore skills are much more specific, but things like Crafting and Performance are more general.
In practice, use of an applicable Lore skill in a skill challenge will have a lower DC for success than use of something like Crafting or Society.
In the current skill challenge, you're trying to demonstrate your knowledge of cooking, which is a Recall Knowledge check with the skill--so no toolkit is required.

I'd consider Arcana, Crafting, Nature, Occultism, Religion, and Society to be the successors of 1e's Knowledge skills (plus Medicine in a more limited capacity). Lore skills are closer to the Profession skill, although they also include support for narrow, specialist knowledge.

Apologies for the additional delay, I was dealing with something unexpected the past two days that was eating up a lot of my time.
