Reflex A: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Reflex Thug: 1d20 ⇒ 6

The alchemist darts to the side as the spray of fire blows past the thug, burning the brute a bit and just touching the leader of the goblins. It hisses at Timothy as the brute snarls, one of it's cheeks scorched badly.

Two of the wretches peel off from the archers, hurrying up as it would seem their turn to shoot would not come as soon as they thought. The others pensively wait for their ranged comrades to fall or need their help.

The only remaining wretch in combat swings at Ulthak, the mighty half orc showing he was mortal as anyone else after taking two nasty hits.

Club: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 201d4 ⇒ 2

The blow comes surprisingly fast, and right at his groin from below. Acting on reflex, Ulthak traps the club between his thighs and sparing himself a painful wound by the skin of his a- crease of his armor.

The bolters take aim at Timothy and Ulthak for different reasons. One trying to capitalize on the damage done, and the other wanting to end the pesky arcanist.

Ulthak: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 31d6 ⇒ 1
Timothy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 161d6 ⇒ 1

The shot at Ulthak was wild, having no chance of connecting with anyone. The arrow shot at Timothy hits him dead center in the abdomen, and he grimaces from the impact. He can feel the tip of the arrow poking him uncomfortably through his haramaki... but it didn't break the skin.

That thing just paid for itself.

The alchemist doesn't waste the chance as Lathliss moves, aiming another wicked bomb directly at the half elf and seeking to end the source of healing.

Bomb!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 61d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

It may have failed to hit his target directly, but the fire still erupted around the pair.

R Lathliss: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
R Ulthak: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

That is 5 damage to Lathliss and... rounding down after the save... 2 damage to Ulthak.

Miles puts the alchemist in it's place with a well placed shot, punishing it for getting so close. The creature doubles over, clutching at it's belly where the arrow had sunk in nearly to the fletchings.

One wretch was left fighting Ulthak, and now the alchemist was down. The half-orc had to admit, part of him enjoyed this. Impaling the goblin with his spear, he lifted it up off the ground. He looked it straight in the eyes as he let the elemental energy within him loose, causing the dying goblinoid to be covered in the dance of wild electricity. It was a message to any other goblins as towards what would happen if they decided to continue fighting. Given how his own wounds had not been exactly insubstantial, he reasoned that making an example was the right move.

The first hulkish goblin was withered by electrical burns and stuck in multiple places, but with a snarl it raised it's club high and swung at Ulthak's collar.

Waaagh: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 181d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Ulthak raises his shield arm and shifts to the side, putting his weight onto his back foot and intercepting the heavy blow with everything he had. He could feel his arm grow numb, and his shoulder would likely hurt like hell in the morning. He managed to shrug off the attack though.

The other brute patted the grease with one foot, and after considering the vulnerable form of Timothy, turned back to Ulthak. Though it didn't seem to enjoy that choice either. As the half orc absorbed the shock from one golbin bruiser, in came the second.

Waaagh: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 211d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Again Ulthak was able to brace and shift, but he couldn't get his shield arm around in time. The heavy club cracked in against his side, hitting hit ribs along his back. The complete opposite of the earlier shot to the front of his dominant side.

Made a bit of an error, but thankfully the only difference in the end is a wretch left in front of Ulthak instead of a thug.

The oncoming wretch reinforcements serve the party in some effect, shielding Ulthak from their crossbow wielding kin.

That's all they can do with double move up the steep hill.

With the half orc screened, both fire at Timothy, though one has a difficult shot to attempt.

Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 201d6 ⇒ 3
Crossbow: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (17) - 2 = 151d6 ⇒ 2

The first digs into his shoulder, and the second manages to stab him in the stomach, punching through his compromised armor.

Just flavor, of course, it's still providing the same ac.

The one wretch still engaged with Ulthak was clearly terrified, but kept at it regardless. It swung once more at the daunting enemy.

Whack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 121d4 ⇒ 4

Though the half orc remained as ready with his defense as ever against the pitiful creature.

The alchemist sneers at Lathliss as he continues to bring rejuvenation to the party. Without a clear throw at the melee Ulthak was in he instead looks to Miles and Timothy, and then lobs a bomb between the two.

Reflex T: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Reflex M: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

That is 5 more damage for Timothy and 2 for Miles.

The eruption washes over Timothy from behind, and the man slumps forward from the pain and the heat leaving his lungs in a gasp. Miles is also scorched, but managed to hop back just in time to see Timothy fall.

Timothy at -1.

The one wretch still engaged with Ulthak was clearly terrified, but kept at it regardless. It swung once more at the daunting enemy.

While the wretch failed to harm him, Ulthak had a slight issue. He had a corpse stuck on his spear. And as it turned out, trying to stab someone in such a situation was as hard as it looked.

The remaining thug kept battering at Ulthak, having simply no better recourse.

Wagh!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 201d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

So tracking health over the course of the fight (and before with the trap) I have Ulthak going down earlier and being back up to 3 after this latest heal. Correct me if I am mistaken.

The goblin, having battered and beaten the half orc from his open side more than once, managed to clock the warrior upside his head and lay him to the ground.

So that puts you at -5.

Timothy's intense gout of flame washes out toward the goblins, but as it expands into the space it loses a lot of it's potency. Not that it stops the flames from scorching four of the five goblins before the group!

The two wretches facing down Ulthak adjust, one of them slipping around to menace Lathliss. The other happily tries to whack at the downed half orc.

Lathliss: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d4 ⇒ 1
Ulthak: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 141d4 ⇒ 4

Neither manages to do any damage, the armor the two wore more than enough to stop the damage in the moment. Seeing Ulthak drop, the remaining two seconds for the crossbow goblins hoot and start to charge up. Eager for the goblin victory.

The crossbow goblins consider things for a long moment, then start to charge up behind their comrades. It ends up being a mad dash toward taking victory.

The thug winces and growls deep in it's throat as Lathliss jabs his spear tip into it's inner shoulder. It steps back, then jerks the tip free and glowers at the half elf.

The alchemist cheers the other goblins on, calling for them to pound them until they stop moving. It doesn't move to throw a bomb with the group so swarmed, and with such a delightful show being put on.

I'll let Ulthak do his own rolling here. Especially with how dire things are.

Dying: 1d20 ⇒ 12

The half-orc tried to stay on his feet. Logically he knew that to fall down invited death. Gritting his teeth he willed himself to stay upright...but there was only so much that will power alone could accomplish. Black spots danced in his vision, and despite his best efforts, darkness crept in. He took a step forward to try and steady himself, only to find the ground rush up to meet him. He hit the ground hard. His outstretched hand was the last thing to hit the ground, as the darkness took him.

Failing his save Ulthak takes one point of damage and falls to -6 HP.

Miles feathers the menacing thug again, and it groans in pain as it's minor wounds start to stack up. It briefly considers it's next target, before grinning at Timothy who just scorched it.

Wagggh: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 221d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Timothy is now at exactly 0 HP. This puts him in the disabled condition rather than dying.

Disabled:

A character with 0 hit points, or one who has negative hit points but has become stable and conscious, is disabled. A disabled character may take a single move action or standard action each round (but not both, nor can he take full-round actions, but he can still take swift, immediate, and free actions). He moves at half speed. Taking move actions doesn’t risk further injury, but performing any standard action (or any other action the GM deems strenuous, including some free actions such as casting a Quicken Spell spell) deals 1 point of damage after the completion of the act. Unless the action increased the disabled character’s hit points, he is now in negative hit points and dying.

The heavy club comes in from the side, and while he can brace there is little Timothy can do other than accept the heavy blow. He can feel ribs crack, his arm fracture, but despite the deep pain in his abdomen he still stands. Barely.

The wretch caught in Timothy's gout of flame screams briefly before the air in it's lungs ignites. The thug has time to react, grimacing and putting it's large arm up in defense before it gets charred some more. It was starting to look badly wounded, but still had plenty of fight in it all the same.

Another wretch is prodded forward by the nearest crossbow wielding goblin, and the other remaining one not holding a crossbow moves up closer. Neither are able to reach the party up the slope and attack just yet.

The goblins with crossbows eye the battlefield, not as sure as they were a moment before. The one with a bead on Miles takes a shot.

With Miles seeming the one genuine threat remaining, or perhaps him just being far enough away from his minions, the goblin alchemist prepares one last flask and moves forward with intent. Stepping confidently through the scorched slicked ground.

Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

He slips, but manages to catch himself as before throwing a bomb Miles' way.

Bomb: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 161d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Miles dips to the side, the end over end vial wobbling through the air. Yet the spinning bottom catches his shoulder, cracks, and as air interacts with the volatile chemicals sealed within... it erupts into a violent explosion that bathes him in fire. Searing his collar, neck, and face. Miles collapse to the ground.

Going to move this along. Ulthak actually made his check and stabilized last round. That's my mistake. It is a DC 10 fortitude save with the dc increased by the negative value. So his 12 actually became an 18, beating the 15 DC.

As everyone else lays downed on the field the thug moves in to try to finish Lathliss.

Waaaghhhh: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

As it steps forward though, it's foot comes down on Ulthak's hand. Which was still balled into a fist. This left the thing unbalanced, even more so than normal due to it's lopsided build. It staggered and tried to recover it's balance.

Timothy also laid very still. Will have you make your rolls when able.

The three wretches that has swarmed in on top of Lathliss all swung wildly, eager to be the one to claim the final victory.

Club: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 51d4 ⇒ 4
Club: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 181d4 ⇒ 4
Club: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 101d4 ⇒ 2

One of which managed to connect. As two of them attacked from their natural height and drew the half elf's guard low... the third leaped and hit him in the head to knock him down as well. His vision going dark with the realization that he had been the last one still up to defend the others.

What followed was not pretty, but at least it was quick. The last stand of these would be goblin slayers ending with a hail of strikes from above, small clubs and large to finish their opponents.

What they could not know, and what they could not see was not as grim as they might have thought in their last moments though. For the goblins had not managed to create new females as claimed. While the party whittled down their numbers the people of Bogpass recovered. When the goblins attacked again the people were ready, and while they were outnumbered they had set defenses and traps of their own.

Bogpass would survive to bury the goblins, and in the grand scheme of things that would be a victory. Though what would come of the shard of Golarion the party had found, and what would be the future of this shard remained to be seen.
