We've got the liquid, good! Let's get that last squox to safety, and then see if we can get that machine running. RKT-7 says.
Didn't we have a squox in a pipe to deal with? Not sure where the last one is otherwise.

![]() |

Mech-Ro-Nancy's optical sensors appear to gleam in the resulting light as the ysoki trips the trap. If she is pleased the that Starfinder still lives, it is not evident in her android technoframe.
As the kish goes squox hunting, the android chooses to join him, scanning the old structure for possible signs of squox tracks.
Survival, untrained: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

![]() |

The last squox was last seen disappearing into a ventilation vent in the toilet block.

![]() |

You discover the squox is still there, in the vent. How are you going to get it out?
To reiterate: Removing a squox requires two phases. First, a squox must be coaxed out of hiding or calmed using Diplomacy, Life Science, or an applicable Profession check. Then, the squox must be carried off the grounds with an Acrobatics or Athletics check, scared off with an Intimidate check, or coaxed away with a Life Science check. A PC who offers a squox food gains a +2 circumstance bonus on all checks to interact with that squox.

![]() |

Mech-Ro-Nancy heads to the toilet block to relieve the structure of the final squox.
Life Science to coax out of hiding: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Life Science to coax away: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

![]() |

Thrym-Who-Speaks-With-Spirits attempts to help Mech-Ro-Nancy coax out the squox.
Life Science (Aid): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13.
Life Science (Aid): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19.

![]() |

RKT-7 does her best to help, but feels the piercing gaze of Sparky.
Life Science, Aid, Snakkies: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 1 + 2 = 13
Life Science, Aid, Snakkies: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 2 = 8

![]() |

Mech-Ro-Nancy with Thrym's help is able to get the squox out of the vent then out the nearest window. Meanwhile RKT-7 discovers that Sparky really wants those sqoux treats and keeps getting in the way.
To activate Sikooli’s machine, the two missing components must be installed and the PCs must succeed at an Engineering, Medicine, or Life
Science check. If the PCs reference Sikooli’s notebook, they gain a +2 circumstance bonus on this check. If the PCs have Ajanu’s help, they gain a further +1 circumstance bonus on this check.

![]() |

Sovellis produces the golden liquid. "Who wants to try this?'
The elf steps to the machine. "Looks like we load this here." He indicates a port in the top of the machine. "What's the doctor's notebook say?"
I've got +5 in engineering. Can anyone do better?

![]() |

Mech-Ro-Nancy considers the plan, wondering how the Palid Princess might feel about the proposal.
+6 here for Engineering, Medicine, or Life Science.

![]() |

Mecho-Ro-Nancy engages her positronic brain to make some preliminary analyses.
I believe Quig has a +10 Engineering, which may be the highest.

Quig and Friend |

"Well, I'll give it a shot!"
Quig starts noodling around with the missing components.
Engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

![]() |

Quig gives it a shot and succeeds. The machine purges all venumbrites from the facility. When this occurs, lights and electronics function normally
throughout the hospital.
Now we just need to put Mother to rest Ajanu says.

![]() |

Your mother's apparatus has functioned. Do you know what would soothe the spirit of your mother, and convince her to move one? RKT-7 says, with equal parts concern and plain clinical interest.

![]() |

Probably anything that holds pleasant memories I think
You've already seen one such item but there is another yet to be found

![]() |

I'm not exactly healthy. Used to be lashunta, now I'm borai

![]() |

"I'd say borai's an improvement. Heart, lungs, limbs and digestion all work? Your mother should be happy then, that you'll have no family reunions in the Boneyard any time soon.
Speaking of which, how did you survive? Mom's last words expected you to die together."
I think A10 is where Quig got zapped by the computer trap. Don't remember A12, or A13 so I think we just need to check those.

![]() |

I ...... have no idea .... it just ..... happened. he sighs Most people see me as a monster, so I have to be careful.
Quig got zapped in A11. You haven't been in A12 or A13 yet

![]() |

I ...... have no idea .... it just ..... happened. he sighs Most people see me as a monster, so I have to be careful.
"You are what most organics would call a 'monster'," Mech-Ro-Nancy informs the borai. "Thus, it is most people who should be careful of you." Though the tone of her voice is flat like most androids of her kind, hints of envy intermixed with admiration seem to be woven amongst her words.
She lingers for a moment, eying the borai a bit longer, before joining Thrym-Who-Speaks-With-Spirits with his exploration.

A12: This combination lounge and supply room is stocked with tables, shelves, and cupboards. A book on the desk is entitled On the Theoretical Hybridization of Extraplanar Magic with Modern Technology. A freshly cleaned tea set sits on the table.

![]() |

The elf also looks around.
"Odd that the tea set is clean."
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 Up to now I've been rolling perception without the elf bonus.

![]() |

"Odd that the tea set is clean."
This is what you find strange? RKT-7 asks monotonously, thinking that haunted shadow-plane nanites would be a better fit for that title.
She'll have a look around for any keepsakes or items that would calm the ghost.
Perc: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

![]() |

RKT-7 Strawberry keeps being drawn to the tea set. So does Sovellis.

![]() |

Nancy is drawn to the book. "This would seem to be more important," she concludes, taking the tome in hand.

![]() |

Facepalm
Do you reckon that is maybe something that was important to the ghost in its life? RKT-7 says, carefully taking in along just in case.
"It might have been. If a spirit can manifest enough power to keep it clean, I wonder what more it might do."
Nancy is drawn to the book. "This would seem to be more important," she concludes, taking the tome in hand.
"Theoretical Hybridization of Extraplanar Magic with Modern Technology? Apparently it had just enough information to be dangerous. I wouldn't trust it without a corroborating source."
"Let's check the last room."
Sovellis moves to the last room.

![]() |

As soon as RKT-7 touches the tea set, she gets a vision of of Sikooli
and Ajanu drinking tea. This seems to be a happy memory and my help do the job. But it, by itself, may not be enough.
The last room (A13) is the security office which you can easily open with the keycard. The computer shows camera feeds of the hospital’s interior. As you watch one of the screens, it shows an image of Sikooli wandering the halls. She stops and turns to look at the camera; and you hear your name whispered in your ear. The cameras immediately cut to black and the computers plays a distorted recording.
It’s okay… It’s okay
When you turn the computers back on, there’s no sign of Sikooli.
Inside the desk drawer is the elevator control key.

![]() |

The ghost is grieving and overwhelmed, but it is trying to help us in its own way, it seems. Curious RKT-7 says, I saw Sikooli and Ajanu drinking tea, a happy memory. We should try to find other ones.
Slightly meta-gamey, but looking at what we saw so far that could qualify:
- A photo frame in A3
- Sikooli's dusty personal effects in A7

![]() |

The photo frame on Sikooli's desk holds a picture of a younger Ajanu holding a squox sits on the desk. It too, when touched exudes a happy memory. The personal effects in Sikooli's room - nothing.
Now you have the treasured memories, a mysticism check is required to do a ritual to lay the ghost to rest.

![]() |

Thrym-Who-Speaks-With-Spirits listens to the whispers of the spirits, taking their advice on how to lay the restless spirit to peace...
Mysticism: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25.

![]() |

The spirits embrace the ghost of Sikooli and welcome her to their company. Sikooli’s ghost sighs, tells Ajanu goodbye, and vanishes with the other spirits. Ajanu sobs in relief.
All my mother wanted was to help people, no matter the cost to herself. Now, she can finally rest. Thank you
Ajanu then collects the teaset and the photo before departing to a new existence elsewhere on Castrovel.
--- Bounty concluded ---
Chronicles may be out later today or tomorrow.

Thanks a lot! Top Down is currently indisposed, he said something about 'cool flying insects in a city' that I couldn't quite make sense of. Is it ok if I just continue with RKT-7?

![]() |

Sure - just change the signup

This time you're on Sejada, the largest of the sarcesian creche worlds. Sejada is an asteroid with normal atmosphere, standard gravity, and an idyllic, pastoral environment, where many sarcesians live. You have
been hired to protect an athlete, famed brutaris player Visavra, while she goes on vacation with her friends. You begin at Sejada’s river port, waiting in line to have your identities verified before you’re allowed to enter the marina.
So, who have we got?

![]() |

RKT-7 pulls out her AbadarCorp Entertainment Trainee badge that reads 'RKT-7 Strawberry', and in small print in the corner 'Property of AbadarCorp Entertainment'. Sparky simply has a collar with a little pendant that reads 'Sparky'
Hello you RKT-7 says to TWSWS, and adds an unreadable statement different than last time.

![]() |

A grippli with blue-tinged skin stands in line, doing his best to present as a sports trainer for one of the athletes as his biohacking equipment is securely stowed. As he continues to wait in the line, he looks longing at the moist waters of the marina.

![]() |

Sovellis the elf waits with his team members. The elf is tall and lean. A white half mask obscures his nose and cheeks, while the mask's yellow lenses turn his large, presumably blue, irises green. A butterfly patterned bandana is drawn up over his nose and mouth.
He looks the part of hired security. A long sword hangs from his right hip. His pack has a pointed star shaped case strapped to its back.
