Hey all, looking forward to getting started on Monday. When you get a chance, please make sure you sign in if you haven't done so yet!

That's the wrong link. It says Prisoners of the Electric Castle.

I'll give mine to Hallow, since they're another level 1 character.

Thanks, GM, and sorry, all — I thought I'd caught all of my games about my trip but it appears I missed this one. I'll catch up and make a post today.

Just wanted to clarify that I'll try to make sure combat is flavorful. That may mean at times some hits/misses will result in descriptive language that's not related to actual mechanics (such as -- in my last post -- Jessa being off balance because of the failed shove). I'll try to make sure I'm clear with actions and let you know if there are mechanics behind the flavor, but let me know if you have any questions. Also, I have no problem if you look at the mechanics spoiler -- I just do that to try to keep the posts cleaner.

Hey all, may be a little slow to post over the next couple of days. My wife is fighting cancer and is feeling very crappy today. We ended up doing a run to the hospital and she’s getting fluids, but we may need to come back tomorrow. Just letting you know so no one thinks I disappeared if I don’t get a chance to post.

Real Life Comes First [tm], amigo. And there's nothing real-er than that.
Best to you and your wife.

I'm really sorry to hear that, take all the time that you need. Best of luck to you and your wife.

FYI, all: SkålCon beckons.
I'll be on the road starting tomorrow morning for the Twin Cities and will be spotty, at best, through the weekend.

I think falling prone on a critical failure might be redundant with 24 damage.
Edit: No, I'm wrong. Brundar can take it.

Hallow should still be standing, they shield blocked the last one so they were at full.
I'm a little confused how you'd still be standing. The haunt's first action did 12 hp. You shield blocked with what looks like a standard steel shield. That would have a Hardness of 5, which means you (and the shield) would each have taken 6 hp. The second round did 14 hp damage, which would have been 20 total.
Certainly could be missing something -- that's easy to do in PBP, especially since I don't know everyone's characters well.

Right, I forgot that they'd still take the damage with the shield.

Any preference for where to explore next? You've got two options.
(And I'll try to move you along ASAP. This week again is ending up being busier than I'd hoped!)
Real Life Comes First [tm], after all.

So, we're about at the end of the scenario. There's one more fight -- but it's one that you can actually just go back around if you want. If you'd like me to run it, I can, but that's 100% up to you. I don't think it's likely to leave anyone at risk of death.
The other remaining thing to do is go back to try to open the chest. You've discovered all the possible clues, so you can see if you can figure that out. We could also do them in parallel if you want, working on the chest in the discussion thread...

I've reported the games, but since it's PBP, we can go "overtime" if you want to. How much more will depend a bit on what you all decide you want to do.
That said, I may not be able to post this week; I'm training a new employee the next couple of days (I may have time in the evenings, but not sure what my days will look like). Then I'll probably have time Wednesday, but after that it's Thanksgiving and my folks are visiting.
Oh, and then I may have jury duty next Monday, so who knows what will happen with that. And next weekend is Pax Unplugged, which I also need to prep for. So it may be more like a couple of weeks, though I should definitely get SOME posts in during that time. :D

I'd be down for another fight! And don't worry too much about posting if you don't have time, we don't want you to push yourself too much.

If the switch from hammer to quarterstaff does not work then switch badger to bear. Like Jessa stated if there is no repercussions for failure then continue rotating the last set until we discover the outcome.
