OK, so maybe Jericho is less active in the Cam than Roos, Shane, and Victoria. That's fine. Maybe Jericho has kind of semi-retired since the battle for New York but Shane and Victoria know him but now (coincident with Paris's presentation) he has decided to make an effort to re-enter vampire society?
Let me know when you get your XP spent, Jericho.
As for when we can start, at this point let's call it Monday. If any PCs would like to sketch out an interaction or two with another PC before Monday, that would be cool and I'd be willing to give out XP awards for that.

You had me at Exp awards :)
Would you prefer any minor interactions be in this thread or the gameplay section?

Gameplay if you do it in an IC style. If it's just kind of background, you can post it here.
Make sure to get permission from the other player before you use their PC, though.
Understood, and thank you.

Updated the Relationship Map. Tidied it up a bit and added potential relationship arrows between Victoria, Paris & Shane.

Well, if Victoria (or any other PC who is done) is up to a sketch RP let me know.

Sure.
I'll be a bit buried in work the next few days so a step away would be good for a few ;-)

Well then, Gameplay is up. Hope the start works for you and the ST :) I tried to find a hook that would have our Brujah ask an Designer Nos for help

I can do sketch RP as well.
Incidentally, GM, should I roll for my starting blood pool now?

I started one with Priam; Not sure if I'm allowed another even if it might be at a different night Or I'd leap right in

I'd be down for it.

Made a little opening post for Roos.

"I have to ask--what's your DJ playing at the moment?"
Gaahh! Busted!
TBH I may not be the best person to play a club producer / promoter / manager. I haven't been to a nightclub in nearly 30 years, and certainly not to a VIP room. I don't know what these people actually do at a club (either her or even the normal attendees), what it's really like in there, and I certainly know nothing about the music.
Not to say I won't reply, but just FYI that the technical details of my posts - while well-intended - may be jarringly inaccurate.
Now, if I'm writing about aviation or travel, that I know about.
On another note, Kindred don't normally drink bottled blood, correct? I considered adding a body-temperature fridge stocked with plasma to the room, but then thought it seemed unnecessary given the venue. The CRB implies that with fresh bodies galore available, said fridge would never get used. Though that's always something that could be there if it makes more sense. We want to hunt, not just sit around sipping from a flute filled with blood. True?
Shane Driscoll
Oh heck, the WOD is a little different from our own so unless the ST says otherwise, I bet you could get away with making something up with a vague tongue in cheek reference to a real world counterpart or no real world counterpart at all.
I mean, say you personally like some old Evanescence songs. But that's not modern anymore (The time passes so quickly). Well, Evanescence means Evaporate , or vanish IIRC. Roos is Dutch, so we put Vanish into ye old English to Dutch online lingo thing...
and behold, clearly the DJ is playing the latest hit from Verdwijnen! Yes, Verdwijnen, the modern sound that not too mainstream , not yet anyway, but rather cutting edge!
Meanwhile Shane continues to jam to late 70s to mid 80s metal and makes Toreador sigh
:)
I guess what I'm saying is fake it till you make it will probably work
EDIT: Okay, saw the latest post. Cool. Yes, Shane would at least listen to it *G*
Enjoying watching the RP *Gets popcorn, goes back to lurking the scene*
Victoria Howe
TBF, Victoria knows Law, but her player most assuredly does not.
And yes, I'm pretty sure you can get away with making stuff like that up.
Roos van Hoek
Head on over to the Null Space, Jericho. The doorman will let you in as you're on the short list of Special Guests.
You, too, Shane, if you're not too busy eating popcorn and redecorating...
If Paris and Priam show up, we'll have a full House!
Roos van Hoek
I guess I don't really understand how Jericho works. He's inside someone else's body? So how would Roos or anyone else for that matter identify him?
I assumed for the Masquerade that they wouldn't call her special VIP room the Blood Room out loud. The staff aren't ghouls or retainers.
Maybe just ask for Roos, especially if you can't be identified by face or name.
But I'll roll with it.
Jericho "the Traveller"

Jerichobis using dominate 5 to travel and ride through the night to gather info and otherwise look at things from the safety of home. Important Kindred meetings he will come in person.
Also would call it VIP in open then sorry about misunderstanding previous inner thought posts hehe
Shane Driscoll
Roos, I missed the invite but it was nice of you.
Victoria Howe wrote:Incidentally, GM, should I roll for my starting blood pool now?Meh, just start with a full blood pool.
I'll let you all talk for a bit until stuff starts to wind down.
Gotcha. If we dawdle too much just tell us to wrap it up and I'll have Shane gently boot Priam out the door
;)

Hey y'all I'm reassessing my commitments after fully dipping for a while and I'd really like to rejoin (Or I suppose kinda join initially join) this game as one that I keep around if you'll still have me, I should be able to catch up and make a post by mid week.
Victoria Howe
I'd be happy to have you around.

ST: Do you want us to go our separate ways at the end of the IRL weekend (end of the IC night), so that you can set the stage for Elysium? Or do you want us to stay at Null Space and have us all starting together in the Bloedkamer?
You don't share a haven so whether you break for the evening IC or not we're going to have to assume you all took your leave of each other at some point. I don't mind backposting, either, though I would ask that if you do keep posting for an earlier night that you use spoilers to indicate the text isn't IC for the current night.
Yay! Should be able to catch up tonight and get an initial post up!
Glad you still want to play. I'll have a post up for you all shortly.
Roos van Hoek
I gotta admit, I (the player) have no idea what the protocol is here, though I presume Roos would as she's attended Elysiums before. I know that I wouldn't just walk up to my CEO or a General Officer (in one of my prior lives), especially if they were in the middle of a conversation.
So I guess this is a 2 part question. What is the protocol for Kindred of our Generation and Status in dealing with those like Theo Bell and Mazz, or even those who are important enough to hold down a lounge (which I presume we aren't).
Part 2 is: Is this stuff covered somewhere?
karlprosek
I usually imagine Elysium as a cafeteria scene in any high school movie, except with worse lighting and more money. There are knots of cliques sitting at different tables and you can approach them if you want to but if they don't know you and you don't roll well on your Charisma check then it probably won't go well.
Your characters do know people, so looking for Thomas Arturo or other friendly kindred from the group's backstories and backgrounds would be a good place to start. Shane works for Mazz, who the group has already seen in his own lounge on the other catwalk. Also, Shane's mom is likely friendly and Priam is neighbors with the Sacred Hearts (Valentine's coterie that includes Shane's mom). There's a couple of people you could talk to right there.
None of you have a relationship with Theo Bell but he's not hugely status obsessed so you could probably talk to him if you wanted to. In fact I'd assume that anyone who regularly comes to Elysium has probably had a conversation or two with Theo in the past, even if it's just the vampire version of talking about the weather. There are other kindred who would probably not deign to talk to neonates, even ones that are relatively well established like the Null Spacers, but you when you spot people you can roll to see what you know about them.
As for approaching Calebros, if you've been summoned you'd want to check in with the people around the Prince so that they can tell him you're here. He's pretty laid back as far as Princes go, but there are lots of people who want to talk to him. And as you said, approaching a CEO and interrupting their conversation probably wouldn't go well but this is a game and if you think you can roll well on a Charisma check maybe you could get away with it.
You weren't told to present yourselves at a certain time, just to show up, so it's up to you whether your character would check in first or socialize first.
Shane Driscoll
From what I understand, the nice thing about being a Brujah at Elysium is folks expect you to stretch the boundaries a bit more so sometimes the Clan gets away with it more.
But Shane's gonna try to behave himself ;)

Sorry this week has been unexpectedly heavy at work. I'm planning on posting tomorrow.
No worries, RL can tend to get in the way!
Shane Driscoll
The Sheriff notices Shane looking around. "I hear Mazz is keeping you busy, Mr. Driscoll. That Youtube video was rather embarrassing for your boss. I'm assuming the matter has been resolved?" While he sounds perfectly pleasant, ubiquitous video is the bane of vampires' existence in the modern night and the very act of Sheriff following up on one online is an implicit threat. (I'm blatantly referencing the plot of the 2020 movie The Gentlemen since that's where I got the picture of Matthew McConaguhey to use for Mazz.)
Sorry but I never saw the movie and have no idea if the situation alluded to have been resolved? I don't know what Shane knows so I'm not sure how to respond ICly?
karlprosek
I never saw the movie but I got this from wikipedia: "Pearson's (Matthew McConaghuey's) lab is then raided by amateur MMA fighters and aspiring YouTubers "The Toddlers" who overpower the lab's guards, steal a van-load of marijuana and upload a rap video of their caper online." Nothing to do with vampires, but it seems pretty embarrassing for an established gangster to have one of his secret labs raided by a bunch of would-be rap influencers.
Say Mazz assigned cleaning this up to Shane. Mazz has other people who work for him, even higher up more trusted people, so if Shane's taking care of it this isn't Mazz's top priority. Up to you if you want to follow the movie plot from wikipedia or just make up what Shane would have done and decide how it went.
Maybe it's not resolved and you're still in the middle of it- I'd be happy to work the movie plot into the game, it sounds convoluted and fun. Feel free to run with it however you want.
Shane Driscoll
Okay, sorry for the slow response. I went and watched the movie. Not my usual cup of tea, but some amazing acting. Hope Shane's response works. Shane isn't tech savvy, but one of his Allies is. I imagine Mazz has at least one new ghoul now.

@SM: When asking for rolls like that, couldn't you Spoiler the results of a Success so we can Preview our dice rolls, then make our post based on what we know. As it is, we're arguing a certain way, but we all might be way off base and would have known that going in based on our Perc & Empathy rolls.
