Background:
Jericho was born in Prague in 1878 during heavy unrest and found himself in the midst of world war one as a soldier. Jericho was a thin man and somewhat average but the will within him was one of a bruiser who was not afraid to get in the mix and was committed to going the distance. Jericho fought hard in the trenches and found himself promoted into leadership because of his wits and intelligence and his ability to both hear what the other said and force others to follow orders. During the revolution Jericho didn't like the communists and struck out to Murmansk. In September 1915 the New York steamer Drott docked in Murmansk.
Jericho arrived in New York and was embraced in 1916. Little did he know he had been followed by a creature looking to escape its own history named Zombar Arpad. Zombar had attempted to end himself by sunlight and most thought he had succeeded, however, he had survived disfigured and left his old home to the new world at the first chance. Zombar and Jericho settled into the Russian district in a grocery shops basement. Jericho began to use the people who came to the store to gather information about New York and the supernatural denizens who lived within it.
Eventually with time the Russian district moved and Zombar and Jericho moved with it. The grocery store moved to a new nicer neighborhood and took the name Bobat's Grocery, the base of the word in Russian for "the Traveller."
Bobat's Grocery has a small coffee shop now as well and is known for is borscht and honey laden Russian tea. A good game of chess can be found outside when it's warm at the tables to the side of the fresh fruits and veggies.
