"While we are being direct, I must say that I would prefer a third option," Howirk replies as he casts a spell on the previous speaker (blue?).

Casting daze; DC 15 Will save negates. The spell clouds the mind of a humanoid creature with 4 or fewer Hit Dice so that it takes no actions. Humanoids of 5 or more HD are not affected. A dazed subject is not stunned, so attackers get no special advantage against it.

I just want to put my blade on his throat so he might surrender without a fight. Not sure what kind of roll would be needed? (Making an attack roll just to position the blade correctly without doing serious damage

Corgrim passes the tiger before it can react, and dashes into the room.

Once in, he gets his blade ready to be use against the man's throat, and speaks calmly

NL Attack?: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 5 - 4 = 17
Nl dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Now, would you be so kind as to let your blade drop? I want to hear that sweet clanging, metallic sound as it hits the ground. And order your tiger to rest. If we can do this without too much blood shed, all the better. Especialy if I can avoid my blood to be shed.

After teh spell goes off and it is safe to emerge from his hiding place, he moves into a flank with Elneth and strikes the tiger.

To hit scimitar, power attack, flank: 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 - 1 + 2 = 19
Damage, power attack, whetstone: 1d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 10

it would be an intimidate check. I'll give you a circumstance bonus since you're holding a blade to his throat

The tiger manages to fight off the spell as Merry cuts into it! It's side is ripped open and it cries out as in pain.

Wild empathy has a -4 against magical beasts and takes 1 minute, but I cannot see another situation for this to be of use.

Nice! Dice don't lie )) Moreover, the blade is put to the throat of a blind person and all this happens to the sounds of an animal companion being gradually killed. There is a reason to listen to the threat more closely ))

The tiger growls still in pain, showing it's fangs. It licks the deep cut at it's side. Elneth thinks it's waiting for its master.
