Youre in the Hall of Rectitude. So here iw where you'd access Hellknight Records or official documents. The Chancery is where you could do any other research. There is no bounty on Goblins. You can act as vigilantes of course under the auspices of the letter of Warrant.

Nycholas casually signs the warrent. "We should pick up some mapmaking equipment. I already have some stuff; compass, pens, tape measure. Just need appropriate paper, I think." Impulsive teenager he may be, Nycholas still values knowledge and, selfish as his primary reasons to venture in to the Spire are, he also seeks to catalogue what there is to be found in the Spire.

With all his stuff + armor, Nycholas is at 100% carry weight for light load, and he's already slowed by heavy armor, so someone else will have to carry stuff in situations where we're expecting combat or he'll never be able to make it to the battle line.

The man glanced at Edeldhur and nods that of course is a very good question. First is the order does take items as payment. They don't have to be converted to cash. If the value exceeds your 30% you will be given either cash, if available, back....or a credit towards valued items the Order might have available...orfsiling that a credit off your next 30%

"Understood" - the elf nodded in thanks.

"I have mapmaking equipment" - Edeldhur points out - "It is a craft I learned a few years back" - he adds - "We can use them for now, and replace as needed?"

Shrugging, Ratel turns to the others, "One of the farm kids was talking about finding a goblin fort. I was thinking about checking it out." He smiled, 'Was kind of hoping doing a good deed would earn a little extra coin. Guess not."

As the conversation turned to map making equipment, Ratel piped in, "Edeldhur, it would make sense to use your equipment, then we pay to replace it."

Looking at the list, checking for signatures, he realizes Baerlon hadn't signed. Holding the pen out to the dwarf, he asks. "well?"

Good deeds have a value of their own friend Ratel,” Rooip responded to Ratel’ remarks about the goblins.

Maybe he doesn’t like the 30 percents, he wonders while the barbarian holds the pen out to the dwarf.

So we are waiting for everyone to sign - is that it?

Everyone has signed except Baerlon. Unfortunately, he hasn't posted since the 8th... Which I would say raises the question of botting him as it's the 17th

After the Dwarf added his signature, taking the pen from Ratel and nodding without much to say, the group received their Letter of Warrant. The Clerk looked among them, finally settled on Arcanus and handed the document to him. He added Dont lose it. And remember each time you return to Fort Inevitable, you must let the Maralictor at the gate know what youre declarations are.

The group exited the clerks office of the Hall of Rectitude and moved back outside looking at each other where to go to next.

Outside, the young pathfinder notes, "As for myself, I have supplies to last 5 days in the wilds, after that I'm destitute."

'It never hurts to be polite.' Nodding to the Clerk as he hands the document to Arcanus, "Thank you." He turns an steps outside the door.

Hearing Arcanus' account for food, Ratel smiles. "How odd, I carry the same, five days worth of food. But I doubt if we will be gone that long, so it should be plenty." Shrugging, "Besides we can hunt a little if we need to."

Looking towards Edeldhur, Ratel asks, "Edeldhur didn't you say something about buy supplies and writing a few scrolls or something?"

Elf Wizard

"That is correct" - the elf replies - "I need to buy some materials, and then I need a couple hours of work to scribe the scrolls themselves" - he explains, then looks around.

"I will need to visit Nolm Bindery for the scrolls themselves, and Serfurd's Potions and Reagents for the components themselves. If I can locate them..."

Chuckling at the young Nycholas' excitement, Ratel nods when Arthdane tells him their not leaving until the morning. Raising an eyebrow as the cleric speaks of writing scrolls as well, he points to the north. "Their both that way," He nods his head for the others to follow, heading to the other side of the Hall of Rectitute, past the general store and up to the next corner. Pointing, "There's the Priory and there's Serfurds." He points past the potions and Reagents shop, "the building beyond is Rillin's Armory." He gives a smile. "Of course you can read the sign and figure that out."

While the casters decide what scribing supplies their purchasing, Ratel points to the end of town. "One of the farm boys has been telling folks he found a 'goblin fort' in the woods. Anyone think it's worth investigating or at least asking him about?"

Goblins are just as big a plague as insects, only not as tasty,” the grippli affirms with a flick of his tongue. ”Rooip likes the idea of investigating goblin rumors.”

I can role play picking the items up or hand wave it. your choice. let me know.

Elf Wizard

I am also good with both, but I guess we can handwave it to keep things moving? I am not sure how much money we have on hand, after doing the split?

Edeldhur will spend 25gold of his own 30 to buy mats for one scroll. If there is money left from the split, he will buy mats for a second one.

Elf Wizard

My share should be enough maybe (thanks anyway!)? How much are the shares? :D

The Wizard moved into the the first of his shops, to obtained scroll material. He moved into Nolm Bindery and was immediately bombarded with the smells associated with old books and manuscripts. It was a very cluttered shop. with things stacked haphazardly around on shielves and book cases. A counter ran the width of the shop, and a comely Garundi woman was behind the counter. her piercing green eyes offset by her dusky complexion. She had a ready smile and waved at Edeldhur. Please come in come in. How can I help you sir?

With nothing better to do until tomorrow, Arcanus followed Edeldhur to the Nolm Bindery and waited outside, noting the cramped quarters, and the beautiful garundi proprietor.

Arcanus stands in front of the window to Nolm Bindery with his arms folded, attempting to look down the street in a nonchalant manner.

Edeldhur:
The bard secretly gives the elven mage a 'thumbs-up' on the beauty of the garundi woman, with encouragement to progress a working relationship into something more.

The myriad of scrolls and writing implements assaulted Edeldhur's senses, but in a good way. One that made him smile.

Between the woman's beauty and Arcanus's surreptitious message, the elf found himself at a loss for words for words however, and simply staring - "Apologies, I..." - he stammered - "I am looking for arcane scroll scribing materials, and... I was told this was the place to come to. So I did. Well not only I. Also some of my companions. And then you were here. Yes.."

She smiled, and the smile was genuine and without any agenda.

Nodding to the Garundi woman, Ratel points at the elf, "I'm with him." Turning and looking at a shelf full of manuscripts, Ratel looks out the window noticing the archeologist standing there with his arms crossed.

"Can't hurt to go in and take a look around."

Seeing something in the way Arcanus makes eye contact with Edledhur, Ratel rolls his eyes, but says nothing. Picking up one of the manuscripts, seeing if he knows the language.

She continued to smile and with a light hearted manner sais Excellent. Im sure you will find my materials above reproach. After taking a meticulous look at the vellum, quill and ink, Edeldhur produced the coins to pay for the materials with an approving nod - as he reached for his bag, his rat companion was roused from its slumber - "This is Arzo" - he smiled at his familiar, then back at the woman - "My familiar, and friend. Flipping through 'The life and Legacy of Zura, a study in the meaning of eternity.' Ratel frowned slightly when he realized there were no pictures. Realizing the others had made their purchase, he sets the book back on it's shelf. Nodding politely to Falindra, "Yes, thank you for you hospitality, it is a lovely shop."

Turning to Edeldhur and Arthdane, he asks, "Shall we continue towards Serfurd's?"

The group exits and goes the short distance to Sefurds Apothecary.

Inside a thin man of slight elvish descent, sits behind a counter. This shop is the opposite of Falndra's. Every thing is in its place. Perfectly organized. The man said as they entered. in a whining voice that grated on their nerves. How can I help you?
