Seggas eagerly sits down at the game intrigued at the possibility of a good mental challenge. Int check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

She frowns as the concepts are too foreign for her to grasp or too complex... or maybe it was her own wandering thoughts. She instead tries to be as disruptive to the other player's game plans instead.

"Why change her name to Star Joro, when Cele-TEA-a has such good pun potential? I'm Seggas by the way. If you have to give me a Joro name, go with Genetics, please?" She gives a smile showing off her slightly pointy teeth as he forked tongue flits out and tastes the air.

That's Celes-TEA-a Celly replied with a smile. But I should be used to my name being mangled by now

She resists cracking egg puns with Seggas's name though.

"We have various medical Joros at the health centre, but the real question is, can you play?" they ask in a slightly doubting tone, as though starting to form a bit of a view about the Starfinders.

Dance Joro? Celly asked. I'm honoured, really I am, but I don't look like a Joro. But .... if you want me to dance, I'd be happy to do so.

VC - Sydney, Australia

"Hmmm I think maybe dancing is more something for IN-CHOIR-ING MINDS, I don't think we have that much in common..." they seem to be sort of closing off to you, none of you seem to have the boardgame chops they are looking for.

Seggas gets destroyed by the sock-and-sandal-wearing boardgame warriors; they may look slightly awkward but they are clearly quite sharp when it comes to their hobbies. They look at you all with some sympathy as you leave.

"This makes no sense. But I guess there's something to it I'm not grasping. I guess I should think over this like Tariana said. Though I'm still not sure how rolling high on a die was a bad thing..."

Seggas gives a farewell wave to everyone at the games tables and looks to Celly and her already nearly back to normal arm. "Dang need to up the strength for assimar, noted......" She looks up from her notes a moment later and gives the group a puzzled look. "Wait, I thought we were going to the dance/arts studio next. Why is everyone standing around here like this? I can write and walk, so don't worry about me."

VC - Sydney, Australia

IN-CHOIR-ING MINDS

This small performing arts studio is richly decorated with inspirational music posters, five-line whiteboards, and tiered choir risers encircling an analog upright piano. A handful of community singers are gathered here for rehearsals, avidly practicing choreography and harmonized parts in Acappella covers of the Joros’ favorite tunes.

The current ensemble, wearing t-shirts that identify them as 'Joros Choros', are intently focused on their rehearsal and pay your arrival little notice.

Skorpahlich seems rather annoyed at how this is going. They learned nothing at the game place, and now they will undoubtedly be expected to sing. Something else that he will likely fail at miserably. His Eoxian captors certainly never provided singing or music lessons to their lab-rat vesk.

He waits for Celly to take the lead here (again).

Oh gods, she's a pole dancer? Lol

Seggas gets into the choir room and immediately tenses up. This type of music always put her on edge, even if it was secular, the religous back ground and words dreged up bad memories of childhood and some foster homes that tried to 'banish the demon-ness' from her. She puts on a very, very fake smile.

Charisma check?: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9

Instead of actually singing she decides to bite the bullet, loads a viral accelerator into one hypospray and her nearly expired elephant trunk tester into another and injest them in that order. A few moments later she has the perfect excuse to not sing, given her 2 foot long grey nose. She gives a small trumpeting sigh of relief and instead tries to make Celly look more pretty by standing near her and adding some contrast.

Can She Aid a Profession She Doesn't Have: A Tester Roll: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Conclusion: Most decidedly she CANNOT!
However the extra appendage seems to be more distracting than complementary.

Pole, aerial silks, underwater, rope and a few other styles - and pole dancing is a good way to keep fit

She looks over to Seggas in surprise. You were really desperate to test that weren't you. She also refrains from trunk puns and comments about 'the elephant in the room'.

They show no interest in the rest of you, but Celly gets their attention fairly quickly and a couple come over and watch, one asks suspiciously "You dance so well... but you aren't from Hi Note are you?" the mention of Hi Note gets the others looking in shocked disgust.

Hi Note? No. We're new here. My name is Celestia Sol but I got christened Dance Joro. I presume we're looking for our place in this community. I take it Hi Note is a rival group. Yes?

VC - Sydney, Australia

"The Joros Choros hate the Hi Note team, we're going to destroy them at the next Pitch Off".

"Anyhow, you have some great moves, maybe you and the other non-Joro Joros could form a new ensemble! Most of the non-Joros hang out at the BoThumbs Up, and with you leading - after some groundbreaking coaching of course - we could have a second team of performers and make Hi Note come third!"

They seem warm to Celly, but could take or leave the rest of you.

Celly thought about it a bit. I'm also an aquatic dancer, like ... I dance in water. Don't suppose you've got a water tank with transparent walls that's ..... erm ..... about 2 and a half metres deep, the same long and about a metre wide. .... and what sort of ground breaking coaching do you mean. Either that ... or I could do aerial silks or something.

VC - Sydney, Australia

"Wo we don't have a swimming pool for that"

"I mean, you are good, but you aren't great - with a bit of work you could beat the Hi Notes but you aren't quite Joros Choros material, no offence. You can dance, but no singing or acting? You aren't a triple threat"

"Anyhow, you'd be great - suggest you look up Relton in the Beg, Borrow, and Steel metalworks; Annalise in the Sketch That Kitcsh art studio; Finbar in the Whizdisk Stadium; and Kenro in the restaurant Yo Gurt to Try This"

But thank for your .... recommendations. We shall follow them up, although we have already met Kenro

Metalworks it is then Celly replies. Erm ... anyone know where that is?

VC - Sydney, Australia

Beg, Borrow, and Steel

Located at the southern edge of the vault’s perimeter, the metalworks appears to be the source of building and crafting materials provided by the vault’s guiding intelligence. A complex set of spigots and apertures jutting from a wall produces fonts of molten metal that several Metalworker Joros use to forge their various supplies.

The Metalworker Joros seem as chatty and quirky as the other
Joros, asking the same questions you have already been asked by every other Joro, but none seem to be in the scrapyard. Looking in the scrapyard you notice several small dioramas crafted out of scrap metal.

The 10' frame of a large female shobhad wanders into view and puts another diorama on display and admires it quietly, her massive hands making it look tiny as she positions it to be juuuuust right.

It seems that the Joros have decided we need to make a divergent singing group. Nice to meet you. I'm Dr. Yakan, or Mistress Seggas if you're feeling forward, though I've been dubbed Geneticist Joro, but that just does not roll off the tongue. Celly grins a bit as she looks at the intricate dioramas, studying them to see what they are about.

You're doing fine Seggas. Just leave a gap for the other person. OK?

VC - Sydney, Australia

The Shobhad looks at Seggas pretty intently for a moment as though thinking it all through, then quietly goes back to organising a bunch of items, you suspect for another diorama.

The artworks seem to be of various day to day scenes in the vault - workers making buildings, games of whiz-disk, people playing boardgames...

The sounds of the workers nearby chatting loudly as they take their afternoon tea break in start contrast to the silence of the shobhad.

Seggas gives a small grimace, Of course I go in chatty for an introduction with a woman who likes the quiet. Instead of trying to keep pounding the woman with conversation, like many of the Joros outside must do daily, she instead, sits down and looks for a way she could help with the dioramas instead.

Perception?: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Seggas looks around the yard, a good artist or engineer might be able to make a diorama, or perhaps someone athletically inclined could get to tidying the yard.

Engineering: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
She gives a frown commenting, "This would be easier to do with genetics, but I guess those don't last very long and are hard to see without a microscope..."

VC - Sydney, Australia

The large Shobhad just flatly ignores Skorpalich but is very interested in Seggas and the emerging artwork "That is pretty good" the Shobhad offers in a very soft and stilted tone.

She still seems a bit unsure, she regards Skorpalich with curiosity but avoids eye contact still...
