Still leveling and also likely to do one more adventure on 3/21 before start of this game. However, if we can/want to start early, I have another PC to play then and can begin whenever.

Fine with me pjrogers, just make sure that coming in has the proper stats in the header if it makes any impacts.

Looks like I got the last spot? Is this a module? One of those 3xp 4 prestige types?
Volsung Dreamborn

Couple of things:
1) My school is one of the ones sending students home and shifting to online only instruction, so I may be a little slow here over the next several days.
2) I'm scheduled to GM a game on Saturday, and I'll be applying the chronicle sheet to Volsung. This will make him level 7 and allow me to add another GM chronicle sheet, a 7-11, to him. Once that's done, I'll level him up to level 7 and 1 xp and be already to go here.
Edit/addition - It looks like I might have the beefiest PC in terms of AC and HP, so I'm happy to be up front, either in front of or directly behind Darrioos with his trap spotting as circumstances dictate.

GM Worg I have made a mistake. I can't play with Taman. (He will be level 8 before we start this game).
Instead, I will play with level 5 paladin (Edwin Towerfall).
Can you please remove Taman Hornraven from this game?
Thank you!

I may play Volsung in an online game tomorrow night which would take him to level 7. Either way, I'll make sure everything is correct for him on Saturday, either as a level 6 or a level 7.

Volsung didn't get a chance to play, so he is still Mesmerist 5/Swashbuckler 1. I've updated all his profile information.
I crossing out one box of the boon Piercing the Veil (#10-16) +1 on all Perception and Sense Motive checks and +1 of illusion-based Will save for duration of scenario. I've already included these additions in my stats.
I'm also selecting the haunted mercy for my Cleansing Crusader season 10 Silver Crusade reward.
Do we know enough about our destination before boarding this ship that we can buy aquatic stuff such as potions of water breathing?
Edit: I have message as a 0 level spell so we can have that up more or less continually if everyone is OK with doing so.

Have a purchase to make:
Adamantine Stinging Whip - 3050 gp

Just checking to see if it's OK to have purchased a Potion of Water Breathing.

Actually, what time do we expect to arrive at the village? If it's clear that we will be spending the night at the village, then Las will use his false life now.
GM Worg

If your survival checks prevent you from losing time, probably arrive in the late afternoon.
Las Lajas

Would we clearly be expecting to spend the night there?

FYI - I will be leaving tonight and will be without Internet until Sunday. If you have to GMPC me, Las will use his whip to harass and stop creatures from getting AoOs (just need to use Studied Combat, not studied strike).

What are the options with where they crowd can go? Obviously not down.
It sounds like seawater is coming up through the basement?

If I understand our situation correctly, we're on an upper floor of the lighthouse, some distance above the ground floor entrance. It's that ground floor which has been flooded by the rising tide, correct?
Are we on the top floor? It doesn't like there is any stair way up from here.
I gather there are windows through which we can see the craziness with boat, villager, and attacking thing. However, I'm not sure where they are.
How high above the water level are we?
GM Worg
|
As far as your party knows...
There are stairs that go up, but convincing people to go upstairs in this panicked frenzy will require the skill checks. They are not currently on the map, because reasons.
Something is in the water outside. You cannot see it, but it pulled someone under.
There is also a strong chance the crowd may not react to you, in response to A. You are a bunch of outsiders who know nothing, and B. The things attacking have their attention more-so.
Beyond that, there are no answers, just raw adrenaline right now.

is there any benefit in succeeding at more than one Diplomacy check a round?

@Darrioos What you can tell is whatever those tentacles belonged to must have been enormous and deadlier than a group of four adventurers, a drunk dhampir, and a Shepherd and goat.
yeah...I don't know. That goat kicked some squid butt.
re-Release the kraken!!!
GM Worg

It would be the difference between having to fight a giant or just its hand. Effectively, a possible 30+ tentacles could have attacked, but windows are the bane of its existence.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Backstory Tidbit
The stone that you all passed earlier, the Wedding Rock, is where newlywed couples would go to celebrate their marriage as tradition. It is believed that children conceived on this honeymoon are blessed by the sea, but must eventually return to the waves to repay the gift.
And what you know about the stone
It makes people sick when they go near it, eventually forcing them into a deep slumber.
Feel free to come up with some theories about that. :)
