Considering we have a shape-shifter among us, I prefer the hand-wave based on the GM narrating the feeling we know each other.

Whether the shape-shifting *should* freak us out or not, it would be consistent for my character to shrug it off since Lahrehn isn’t attacking us.

@Delmoth, be sure to let us know which improv weapon Mizuko is brandishing. VV will certainly take note of that.

I think you guys are making the right questions, especially at the beginning of this AP. I’m trying to go honest on the interpretation and I imagine the writers added the “familiarity” between all of us exactly to deal with the mistrust between PCs. On the good side, not even the best doppelgängers can turn into oozes, and few shapeshifters can (or people using high level spells), so hopefully some knowledge rolls could clear the air... lol

I did have a funny thought that the door would lead to a room between the two groups and we hear commotion… though I suppose that’s just the paranoia talking.

Well, for your Tien-Minkai character, I will use my one reference image of VV that I actually drew while in Asia last July. It’s unfinished, but two outta three new players haven’t seen it yet.

If you have an image you want to use other than your profile image for your token drop a link in your profile or feel free to put it on the map.

I also have a treasure sheet made that does a lot of auto-calculations. Feel free to use it as you want for loot tracking. My interaction with it will be to put items on the party page and then I'll leave it up to the party to move it from there. It also use this to get a general idea if you're lagging behind on loot.

Despite crappy perception (-2 WIS; untrained), VV rolled a really good perc check. Will await GM post on that before following Jass.

@Delmoth,

Regardless of whether toppling the corpse ends the sleep effect (or at least keeps the rest of us from being KO’d), there is no reason to believe the silently screaming woman could actually be alive, is there? VV would knock over a corpse if she thought it could do good, but she wouldn’t kill someone she thinks can be saved.

Vix really has no way of knowing. If you're worried about any moral ramifications there isn't any. In this case I'll leave it at Vix did the right thing for perhaps the wrong reason.

In gameplay I just distributed the three talismans we found. Saiya is more than a little selfish when it comes to things that might keep her alive, so she's trying to keep the healing talisman for herself. Please feel free to call her out on it.

Basically, how Saiya thinks things should be distributed and how they should actually be distributed are not necessarily identical.

You'll find the gear your starting gear soon enough, so don't worry too much about ;) Also you should have purchased 150gp of gear not wealth by level for a 2nd level character.

That's fine, I'm not going to criticise any player for having their character make sub-optimal decisions for roleplay purposes! :P

Can you remind me what the talisman does? can't immediately find it in the rules.

A Lesser Talisman of Healing Power is a one-time heal. Person wearing it drops below half HP, they automatically get healed for 4d8+7.

Speaking of bad IC decisions, I will (try to) rein in the door-kicking. Vix likes to show off; there are new people. It did kinda blow up in her face with that nat.1!

She would like to meet this Bertold, but I fear the blood belongs to the mysterious like-minded breaker of doors. (Alas, Bertold, we hardly knew ye. Or of ye.)

If I'm pointing at you on the order list that means you can post an action. I will resolve it in the order you post assuming that other characters higher than you in the block delay to allow that action order.

Let me know if I’m flanking after the enemy moves, or if I could be with a 5ft step. I have a couple non-lethal options if we want these guys alive.

(VV doesn’t entirely care. Men who look at women as targets and kill based on the colors people are not wearing—that’s pretty much VV’s memory #1.)

I fail to see how sharing a square with Vix when you provoke gives you cover. Because when you share your square the line never passes through Vix's square it stops at it because it's the same square. I can add this to delmoth's rule interpretations but I don't believe this requires a house rule.

Can you give me a FAQ or another rule that I'm missing to support your case?

Apologies for butting in, but here's a quote from the rulebook where it states moving through an ally's square doesn't provide cover.

"You can move through a square occupied by a friendly character, unless you are charging. When you move through a square occupied by a friendly character, that character doesn’t provide you with cover." (Source: Archives of Nethys/page 193 of the Core Rulebook.)

Muscle of the Society trait & MW backpack increase my carrying capacity as if my STR is higher by 3. (+2 from trait; +1 from equipment)

Clarification, please.

I believe Vix already broke down the bloody door. She rolled the break DC (18) on the second attempt.

The GM post says “knocks on” instead of “knocks down,” so there may be confusion here, and it could be me who is wrong.

My impression was that the 'knock' was her first kick, and the voice from the north interrupted before she kicked a second time.

Saiya has the right of it. Door was not busted down. But you can now if you don't want to wait.

As far as ways forward, other than the bloody door, there is the courtyard with the nightgaunt or the garden path.

VV votes bloody door. And wants to kick it, but can easily be dissuaded if Saiya starts picking the lock. Somewhere in VV’s cartoony memories is an implication that it’s rude and dangerous to kick a door while someone is trying to pick it.

Or is that the rule for noses?
