Lem draws Random Blessing 1 for the upgrade pile: Blessing of Abadar (Blessing 1).
BR Dinketry
|
Potential Upgrades (so far):
Nightspear (Ally 4)
Landshark Whelp (Ally 4)
Abadar's Law (Blessing 1)
Blue War Paint (Item 4)
Wand of Flame (Item 2)
Fireball Beads (Item 4)
Major Harrowing (Spell 5)
Instrument of Agony (Spell 4)
Divine Blaze (Spell 4)
Vindicator (Weapon 4)
Lamashtu's Madness (Blessing 2)
Blessing of Abadar (Blessing 1)
Awaiting Brielle, Varian, and Skizza to draw their random blessings and add to the upgrade pile.

OOPS! Skizza points out that the blessings added to the upgrade list are CHOSEN, not RANDOM. As such, I'll assume that everyone adds a Blessing 6 (and then can sort out what they want as they want it).
Potential Upgrades (so far):
There we go.

Things to Do 6-6C1:
1.) Done.
2.) Save hero point.
3.) Upgrade desires
Spell 5: 1d1000 ⇒ 974
Blessing 6 (5): 1d1000 ⇒ 884
Item 4: 1d1000 ⇒ 569
Skizza - Fungus Collector
6-6C1 - Skizza Rewards
Scenario Reward: No interest in the loot, and Skizza will add a Books Harrow blessing to the reward pool.
Tier Progression: (6.3) Skizza gains a Hero Point.
Skizza expends the Hero Point on a Card Feat, and checks off...
BLESSING 4 [X] 5 [X] 6
Skizza will fill the empty blessing slot with, say, a Blessing of the Gods - it doesn't really matter, since he's about to replace it.
Skizza still has 2 remaining Hero Points.
Skizza's Deck Upgrade preferences are as follows...
I don't think there's any other blessings I want to change; so that's it!
Lem Z.
Despite the wealth of Blessing 6s available, Lem still just wants a Blessing 3 and a Blessing 1 (as a bonus upgrade) for his card upgrades. Nothing useful to spend a Blessing 6 (or 5 or 4) on.
Core Varian
Hero Point: Card Feat, taking an extra Ally (to 4).
Upgrades:
Spell 5: 1d1000 ⇒ 701 Spite Cloud - Tales
Blessing 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 778 Use on Blessing 3 - The All Seeing Eye - Occult
Will choose from leftovers if need be.
Still use loot: Pharasma's Knowing, Sadomasochism, Steal Soul, and take new one: Staff of Greater Necromancy
BR Dinketry
|
6-6C1 Results (so far):
Skizza: Card Feat (Blessing); Blessing 6 upgrade #1; no upgrade #2
Varian: Card Feat (Ally); Blessing 6 upgrade #1; no upgrade #2
Varril: saving Hero Point; Spell 5 upgrade #1; Blessing 6 upgrade #2
Lem: Skill Feat (DEX); Blessing 6 upgrade #1; Blessing 6 upgrade #2
Brielle: ??? hero point; ??? upgrade #1; ??? upgrade #2
Note: there are no more blessing upgrades, but if Brielle wants a blessing upgrade, then Varril would be fine to consider giving her his blessing upgrade so that Lem can get both of theirs.
Lem Z.
Also, note that Lem only wants a Blessing 1 for one of his upgrades and I think we had a Blessing 1 in our regular pool. So that might make another of the Blessing 6 cards available for others.
Brielle - 勝20100
Deck upgrades:
1. Ally 4. To replace master cartman by Pit Gladiator (Core).
2. Blessing 6 1d1000 ⇒ 631. To replace Blessing of Gorum by Blessing of Ptah.
Hero point: Power feat: you may additionally discard it to add another 1d8 (☐ +3).

6-6C1 results (final):
Skizza: Card Feat (Blessing); Blessing 6 upgrade #1; no upgrade #2
Varian: Card Feat (Ally); Blessing 6 upgrade #1; no upgrade #2
Varril: saving Hero Point; Spell 5 upgrade #1; Blessing 6 upgrade #2
Lem: Skill Feat (DEX); Blessing 6 upgrade #1; Blessing 1 upgrade #2
Brielle: Power Feat; Ally 4 upgrade #1; Blessing 6 upgrade #2

Varril will use his Spell 5 upgrade to swap Mass Displacement for Confidence Boost. He will swap Blessing of Shelyn for Blessing of the Mantis God.
Lem Z.
Lem upgrades:
Blessing 3: Replace Prayer with the Healing Light.
Blessing 1: Replace Sands of the Hour with The Dance.
Loot: same as before *except*
* Lem is no longer taking Urgathoa's Gluttony so it is available (he still has another copy of his own)
* Lem will take Staff of Greater Necromancy (swapping out Holy Water for it).
Core Varian
Blessing 6 upgrade used for The All Seeing Eye, a blessing 3 from Occult pack, replacing The Hidden Truth.
Take an ally 4 for an additional upgrade, taking Salvatore Scream. Will probably just swap them out for the loot Zellara.

Hey everyone.
I'm going to be going away for the upcoming week to THE PLACE WITHOUT INTERNET. I will be out of signal from tomorrow morning (about 24hrs from the time of this post) until a time 7 days later.
In the interim, I hope you all eat all the yummies, drink all the drinkies, celebrate all the happies, but most importantly, get ready to say GOOD RIDDANCE to this wet fart of a year.
Many cheers.
-Paul (Dink)

I'll also be entirely offline from Dec. 29 to Jan. 2. Hope you all have enjoyable and safe holidays!
BR Dinketry

Things to do 6-6D:
1.) Tell me what you're doing with your Hero Point.
2.) Tell me what boon you're drawing from the Vault.
3.) You get to select two of the following:
Potential Upgrades:
4.) Loot preferences?
5.) Do you want to play the very last scenario? Or walk away with all the loot?
Varril - Dinketry
|
1.) Varril will save his Hero Point.
2.) Varril will draw a Spell 6 from his vault.
3.) Bonus upgrade preferences:
Spell 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 895
Weapon 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 975
Item 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 434
4.) Varril would like to continue using Ashbringer, Achaekek's Claws, and Lady of Valor. He'd be keen to make use of the Ring of Splendid Security if it was going to go un-used. Otherwise, he will roll for it.
Lem Z.
1. Lem saves his Hero Point. He now has 3 saved.
2. Draw Spell 6 and use it to add Boneshatter, replacing Wall of Light
3. Weapon 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 306 Replace Deathbane Light Crossbow with Returning Frost Spear +2
4. Lem would like to keep using the same Loot cards as before.
5. Sure, why quit now? :-)
Brielle - 勝20100
6-6D: The Demilich's Domain
1. Save hero points, 2 saved points left now.
2. Draw Ally 6
3. Deck upgrades (besides the ally 6):
1. Item 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 403
2. Armor 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 586
4. Same loot, the new ring can not be used as a weapon so less useful to Brielle.
5. Will go on!
Skizza - Fungus Collector
6-6D: The Demilich's Domain - Skizza Rewards
Scenario Reward: I am interested in the Loot... mostly because it's an absolutely awe-inspiringly incredible endgame loot item, but also because it generally renders Skizza immune to his own postcombat self-damage effect.
But it must be said that I almost never use said power of mine, and it'd cut into the critical mass of Plant cards I want for my build, so I'll pass on rolling for the loot and leave it to another character.
Additionally, Skizza will draw a Weapon 6 from the vault; Replacing Ghostbane Shotgun +2 with Enervating Pistol +3 (Gunslinger CD).
Tier Progression: (6.4) Skizza gains a Hero Point.
Skizza now has 3 remaining Hero Points.
Skizza's Deck Upgrade preferences are as follows...
Fun fact; with Varril in the party, the fact that Blessed Bullet adds the Divine trait to a check is actually relevant. Neat.
And yes, Skizza will be dragged headlong into certain peril, kicking and screaming. XD
Core Varian
Save hero point, bringing total to 3.
For my scenario reward, add AP 4 Boon: Shining Wayfinder.
Roll off for second upgrade:
Spell 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 50 Ride the Lightning
Item 6: 1d1000 ⇒ 838 Third Eye
Still probably taking Pharasma's Knowing, Sadomasochism, Steal Soul, and Zellara.
Bring it!

6-6D results (final):
Skizza: saving Hero Point; Weapon 6 upgrade #1; Item 6 upgrade #2
Varian: saving Hero Point; Item 4 upgrade #1; no upgrade #2
Varril: saving Hero Point; Spell 6 upgrade #1; Spell 6 upgrade #2
Lem: saving Hero Point; Spell 6 upgrade #1; Weapon 6 upgrade #2
Brielle: saving Hero Point; Ally 6 upgrade #1; Item 6 upgrade #2
Of note, Varian, there's still an Armor 6 and a Weapon 6 left over if you want a second upgrade.

Varril is swapping out Object Reading for Divine Blaze and filling the spot previously occupied by Shapechange with Seek Quarry.
He will continue to use Achaekek's Claws, Lady of Valor, and Ashbringer. He will drop Candle of Comity for Ring of Splendid Security.
Core Varian
I will not actually take the AP 4 Boon as I misread it.
I'll take instead the spell 6 Ride The Lightning (Replacing Lightning Bolt), and forgo the second upgrade.
Will then take loots:
Sadomasochism (for Swipe), Steal Soul (For Elemental Skin), Pharasma's Knowing (for Gozreh), and Zellara (for Salvatore Scream).

We have played this game for 604 days.
We played this game pre-COVID and have finished it post-COVID.
When we started this game, Ric Ocasek, Peter Fonda, and Elijah Cummings were still alive.
When we started this game, Avengers: Endgame was still in the movie theatres.
We started this game when the ACG was still supported by its parent company.
I have enjoyed the privilege of running Season 6 of PACS to its ultimate conclusion on Heroic mode with y'all. As Skizza has pointed out, we didn't lose a single character, nor did we lose a single scenario. I count you all as some of the most stalwart and dependable PbP gamers with which I've had the pleasure to roll dice. Thank you all, humbly and sincerely.
I will need awhile to get your chronicles to you. Alternately, if it pleases the courts, I'd just suggest that I give y'all a final chronicle for this last adventure, replete with the Soul Shard card. Please let me know of your preference.
I'll miss this group. Thanks again.

That one hurts the most.
I'm happy to have played a support character at a pbp table that actually made use of my support powers!

You're gonna make me cry with this send-off...
This was a great experience, and my greatest regret is that I couldn't give this game the attention and flavour it deserved in its later stages due to my own life commitments.
This was my first completion of a post-Core full-length AP in PACS, and it ticked all of the boxes I could've wanted to see in such. There were some hair-biting victories, some crippling defeats (by banes, not scenarios!) and some lessons learned. I'd like to especially point out that each and every participant played fantastically, and I think each of us showed off the absolute best side to their respective characters.
Thank you to all, and don't be afraid to hit me up on Discord for any reason.
P.S. And no need to rush on my Chronicles, BR (on the rare occasion I would need evidence of completion of this AP I can literally just link to this forum thread).

When we started this game, I only had one kid and lived in another apartment :-)
And I still have not seen Advengers Endgame.
Thanks for everyone for this game.
This was a fun game, the third adventure path I completed online but the first with heroic game. Thanks to everyone for this enjoyable experience.

This was a great experience, everyone. Besides being the only AP I've played from start to finish (and the only PACS character I've played all the way through), this game has also been a great comfort to me during some personally very challenging times. When we began playing my father had already been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but we were still hopeful that with treatment he might have some years to live; unfortunately he died a year ago, a month after we all began the covid lockdown. When we began playing I already sensed that my marriage was over but I had not actually begun the divorce; I filed the paperwork about a month after we started and then had to continue sharing a home with her for over a year before the process was finally complete and she had moved out, through it all caring for my young daughter and trying to shelter her from the worst of the drama. Whew, it has been rough, especially with covid thrown into the mix. There were many, many times when our game was a truly wonderful respite from the unpleasant tension. Thank you all.
Though paizo has sadly given up on PACS, personally the game still has a lot of interest for me (as I mentioned, this is still only the first AP I've completed) so I hope to keep playing as long as there are other interested players and will be delighted to play again with any of this group.
And especial thanks to dinketry for running the game so superbly and smoothly, and to both dinketry and yewstance for their patience answering my many questions.
Re the chronicles question - whatever is the most convenient for you, dinketry.
Be well, everyone.

Hello everyone. I've finally finished the chronicles. Additionally, I've made the Soul Shard chronicle available to you all. You can find them here.
It has been an exquisite pleasure running this game for all of you. I wish you all the best, and I truly hope to game with you again sometime.
Cheers,
Dink
