d'Log inspects the door.

This door looks perfectly fine, and doing exactly what it suppose to do. Its blocking our way from that guy that we should problem catch. It doesn't need to be fixed. If anything, it needs to be destroyed.

d'Log takes his tools out and starts to nimbly play with the lock. He looks over to rick for some GUIDANCE and gets some

Finesse takes time my long shank friend. Seeing what you did to that dog has me all fired up. Its hard to concentrate with the thrill of fresh dog meat there. Have you ever had dog meat great longshank?

d'Log easily picked the lock on the door, and Dahros slammed it open and burst through into a short hallway that opened into what was apparently Hallod's living quarters. The main room held a table and a cot, with a crude firepit on one end. Off the main room were what looked like a larder and a lavatory (really just a hole in the ground). The place reeked of smoke and filth.

Though there were likely other items stashed in the living quarters if you had time to stop and look, the room was missing one obvious thing. Hallod was nowhere to be seen, but running footsteps could be heard coming from a cave tunnel that exited the far end of the room.

You chased off after Hallod, jogging through what seemed like miles of caves. Although the path is far from level, you can tell that it has been worked for easy travel. Several stalagmites have been broken and cleared away, and wooden bridges have been stretched over pools of stagnant water. After about 10 minutes of jogging, you come to the third largish cavern you have seen so far, with a larger pool of water filling about two-thirds of the chamber. You are halfway across the room when an eerie blue glow suffuses the water and shimmers on the cavern ceiling. Seconds later, the head of a giant blue snake rises from the pool with sparks of electricity dancing between its fangs. A metal, rattle-tipped tail breaks the surface of the water and flicks back and forth rapidly, audibly building up an electric charge as it went.

Recall Knowledge (1-action) Nature DC12:

It is a giant lightning serpent. Its bites cause electrical damage, and it can unleash lightning bolts from the rattle on its tail.

Rick steps five feet back and then whips his hand towards the giant snake, throwing a small ball of fire at it's face.

Rick's fire burns into the creature, but it seems to still be quite active. So much so that it easily dodges d'Log's strikes. It hisses in pain as Skittles' crossbow bolt hit, then again as Dahros' arrows struck. Ykka's bolstering melodies kept everyone going strong, even as the snake struck out.

The lightning serpent lunged at d'Log, stabbing is sparking fangs into the goblin and releasing a bolt of electricity into him. d'Log twitched back, bleeding and scorched from the bite. Then, the snake's metal-tipped tail pointed at Dahros and an actinic arc of lightning tore across the cave, lighting the walls and ceiling with a blinding flash, and tearing into both Dahros and Ykka.

Dahros was just getting ready to comment on how badly the goblin was injured when the damned tail scorched him. He grunts loudly, but manages to act quick enough to avoid the full blast from the creature. He looks over his shoulder to see if Ykka was able to move int time as well as he then fires more arrows at the thing.

Ykka feels the full effect of the lightning coursing through her. The music begins to skip a little while her arms twitch. "Kill that thing already! Another shot like that and I'll be down for the count!" When she begins playing again, the song is softer, warmer, little ball of furrier, "Dahros, you took that a little better than I did so I'll get you next time."

Dahros led you off into the tunnels once more, still following Hallod, though wondering all the while if he may have gotten too far ahead, given you the slip, or is waiting to ambush you. By the time you break into the next large cavern, many of you are out of breath and sorely wishing you hadn't eaten such a large breakfast. The tunnel you have been traversing opens into a cave, and you can see a forest beyond the cave’s mouth. The roots of a large tree block the middle of this entrance, as if the tree had grown into a hillside that has since eroded away. Beyond the tree is a large pond; a path around the water begins to one side beneath a curtain of moss hanging from the tree. The cave itself is piled high with two rows of neatly stacked crates and boxes.

Hallod leaped from behind the tree and leveled a heavy crossbow at Dahros. He said, "I wondered how long it would take Bort's lackeys to arrive. Let's do this, children!" and fired. The quarrel was fired in haste, and it smacked into the ground well before Dahros, drawing everyone's attention to the cords run across the cave in two spots. They were obvious triplines, though to what it was hard to tell. Hallod dropped the heavy crossbow and pulled a wicked-looking kukri, making a come-on gesture with his free hand.

"You're finished, Hallod!" Dahros shouts in return. Reaching down he looks at d'Log and asks "Ready Log?" and grabs a hold of the goblin and spins in place to get momentum before heaving him towards Hallod.

Not sure what you want from me or how many actions that is, but he's a ranged attack roll! Tell me what else I need or what I have left.

Rick ducks, dives, and dodges around the obstacles and tripwires. He doesn't quite perform d'Log's high-flying act, but during his dance through danger he deftly darts towards the goblin and sends some positive healing vibes his way.

Dahros did something he'd been dying to try ever since he hooked up with this group of shorties. He picked d'Log up and threw him. His only real purpose was to get the goblin close to Hallod, maybe prevent the big guy from firing that crossbow again. What he managed to do was get d'Log in striking range...on his face, but in striking range. The goblin popped up, slashing at Hallod, but missing as a giant spear launched itself and grazed his stomach. Looking down, the goblin saw that when he had stood up, he had stepped right on one of the trap ropes!

"Ain't never seen someone disarm a trap by throwing a greenie into it before. You're my kinda hero. But, since the greenie's still standing..."

Hallod lashed out at d'Log with both his kukri and the ham-sized fist he had balled his off hand into. d'Log ducked and weaved, avoiding the first two blow, but the hooked kukri came back up behind his leading leg. The blade ripped out d'Logs femoral artery and he felt cold as his blood rushed out to pool on the ground. With a cry, Rick ran forward to heal his goblin friend, pulling d'Log back from the brink of death.

Ykka curses herself for using her last heal on herself. She begins to play in earnest, trying to inspire her friends. As she looks around at them, she spies some nails on top of one of the crates and wills them toward Hallod's face.

Hallod laughed as most of your attacks missed or bounced from his armor. He stopped laughing, though, when Rick's fiery attwack singed his badly scarred face.

"You're next, midget!" He called as he ignored the small wound d'Log left. He lashed out again at the goblin, trying to take him down and advance on the rest of the group. He made another one-two attack, gashing d'Log deeply with the knife and then laying out the goblin with his fist. Skittles ran up to d'Log and patched up his wounds, bringing the goblin back to life. d'Log didn't hesitate or

Hallod dodged the nails that Ykka threw at him, spinning to slash and punch at d'Log again. If nothing else, the goblin was distracting the man from the others. Dahros managed to get a good hit in with his hammer before Hallod moved away. The blow was enough to keep Hallod's strikes from landing on d'Log, though.

None of the small people's attacks came close to hitting Hallod, though Dahros got in a couple of hard hits. With his favorite target out of reach for the moment, Hallod turned his knife and fists onto Dahros. The knife drove deeply, catching Dahros on the back of his left thigh and cutting deeply before throwing the man to the ground.

"Why should I want this to be over? I'm having too much fun!"
