I am not sure if Haste will allow me to use my blast or kinetic blade 2x or not.
Kinetic Blast(SP): At 1st level, a kineticist gains a kinetic blast wild talent of her choice. This kinetic blast must be a simple blast that matches her element. As a standard action, the kineticist can unleash a kinetic blast at a single target up to a range of 30 feet. She must have at least one hand free to aim the blast (or one prehensile appendage, if she doesn’t have hands). All damage from a kinetic blast is treated as magic for the purpose of bypassing damage reduction. Kinetic blasts count as a type of weapon for the purpose of feats such as Weapon Focus. The kineticist is never considered to be wielding or gripping the kinetic blast (regardless of effects from form infusions; see Infusion on page 12), and she can’t use Vital Strike feats with kinetic blasts. Even the weakest kinetic blast involves a sizable mass of elemental matter or energy, so kinetic blasts always deal full damage to swarms of any size (though only area blasts deal extra damage to swarms). A readied kinetic blast can be used to counterspell any spell of equal or lower level that shares its descriptor. A kinetic blast that deals energy damage of any type (including force) has the corresponding descriptor.
Kinetic Blade: (Element universal; Type form infusion; Level 1; Burn 1; Associated Blasts any; Saving Throw none.) You can use this form infusion once as part of an attack action, a charge action, or a full-attack action in order to make melee attacks with your kinetic blade. Since it’s part of another action (and isn’t an action itself), using this wild talent doesn’t provoke any additional attacks of opportunity. The kinetic blade deals your kinetic blast damage on each hit (applying any modifiers to your kinetic blast’s damage as normal, but not your Strength modifier). The blade disappears at the end of your turn. The weapon deals the same damage type that your kinetic blast deals, and it interacts with Armor Class and spell resistance as normal for a blast of its type. Even if a telekineticist uses this power on a magic weapon or another unusual object, the attack doesn’t use any of the magic weapon’s bonuses or effects and simply deals the telekineticist’s blast damage. The kinetic blade doesn’t add the damage bonus from Elemental Overflow.
I would think the blast would be a no and the blade would be a yes.
Anyone know offhand?

Posted the question on Flaxseed Discussion. Gm Kuey believes I am correct: Blast no because it's SP, but Kinetic Blade/Whip yes because you actually form a weapon.
This is however, your game so your call is boss.

@Gitano: Just wanted to point out that an errata clarified that Charisma mod for Panache and Luck do not stack.
From the Paizo website: Grit, Luck, and Panache
Grit, luck, and panache represent three different means by which heroes can gain access to the same heroic pool, using it to accomplish fantastic feats. For characters with a mix of grit, luck, and panache, they pool the three resources together into a combined pool. (Those who use panache and luck do not gain twice their Charisma bonuses in their pools.) For feats, magic items, and other effects, a panache user can spend and gain luck points in place of grit points or panache points, and vice versa.
Gitano Frallino
|
You are correct, Noke. Gitano's luck/panache pool is 4 + 3 Cha Modifier + 3 from Maestro of the Society trait.
Ginko Nakami
|
I think there's confusion between Archaeologist's Luck and Sleuth's Luck. Archaeologist's Luck would be 10 rounds per day. That's completely separate. But your panache/sleuth's luck pool would be 4, not 7, as you don't get to add charisma twice
Gitano Frallino
|
I knew about the errata and thought I was in compliance. Now I need to double-check.
Although now that I re-look the Maestro of the Society trait, I'm second-guessing myself. I have to figure out where I got that the trait would help the archaeologist bard's luck pool.
At any rate, Gitano hasn't even come close to exhausting it, even if the pool were only 7.
Time to do some search fu. I hate looking at the endless, shrill discussions on the Paizo rules boards. I'll search the additional resources, campaign clarifications, and FAQ first. See if I can find something there.
Gitano Frallino
|
His luck/panache pool is his pool, as it were, combined into one. There's no separate pool for each class, just as the additional classes don't grant him more of or subtract from either. At least that's how I read the errata.
But I agree, it is confusing and can be interpreted in a number of ways. Lots of smart, experienced and exceedingly passionate folks argue about a number of rules. Sometimes, the developers even weigh in. I wish their comments on an issue could be searched for screening out all the background noise.
But 2nd Edition will fix all that, right? ;-)
Ginko Nakami
|
You're mixing things up. Maestro of the Society DOES add to Archeologist's Luck. Your math there is exactly correct, and you don't need to worry about.
The problem is your pool of Sleuth's Luck from your investigator level and the panache from your swashbuckler level though, they do not stack. You only have 4 points in the pool you use for swashbuckler deeds and sleuth deeds. You have it listed in your profile that you have "Panache (7)" which is wrong
Gitano Frallino
|
Archaeologist’s luck is treated as bardic performance for the purposes of feats, abilities, effects, and the like that affect bardic performance.
That's why the trait 'Maestro of the Society' works.
Ginko Nakami
|
No one is disputing that! We aren't talking about Archeologist's Luck, though
Gitano Frallino
|
Ah, I see. I hadn't even realized I'd never adjusted (deleted) that in my tagline. Thanks. When I originally typed my boilerplate 'opportune parry & riposte' spoiler, I also used the language from the Swashbuckler entry. I'll fix that.

Fek/Noke, don't want you to think I was arguing with you guys. I'm still in Scotland, and I was looking at websites and rulebooks, and we were ninja'ing one another a bit as posts were drafted, posted, and in some cases--at least on my end--edited.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and fixing things.

Just a heads up: my wife and I are going on a mini vacation for our anniversary from Thursday afternoon until Saturday evening. We will be taking it easy so I may have time to post, but I won’t have my computer, just my phone, so don’t count on me being active. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Enjoy, Ginko!

Thanks, y’all!
And yes, I am up for the next scenario!

I am in for part two and am very much looking forward to it! :-)

Oh yes part II for sure, wouldn't have it any other way.
Gitano Frallino

Definitely looking forward to Part 2.
I'm back in the US now, getting home tonight.
On Sunday, I have to GM twice at Paizo Con, but I should have time to post that afternoon in between sessions.
Hanlin

Sounds like you're a busy man Gitano!
Hanlin will be leveling to 7 for part 2. 18xp here I come!

I'll have your chronicles ready over the weekend. I transcribed the boons, so you can get a preview of the juicy bonuses.
(1 box) Celestial Lycanthropy: You have received a blessing from the azata Luvyire that has imbued you with a spark of celestial energy, which will transform you into a celestial werewolf when the time is right. You can check the box that precedes this boon to gain a portion of that power, gaining resistance 5 to acid, cold, and electricity for 1 hour. This boon will provide additional benefits in a future scenario.
Grobaras’s Gloryhounding: You now own a ribbon and a commemorative certificate for services to the city of Magnimar, both of which falsely claim that Lord-Mayor Grobaras hired you to assist the city. If you destroy these objects, cross this boon off your Chronicle sheet.
Monument’s Blessing: By sanctifying several of Magnimar’s monuments, you have created a small enduring link with the sacred forces that give the city’s monuments their power. You can perform a particular action tied to one of the five monuments below and attempt a skill check to gain a particular benefit. If you succeed at the check, gain the listed benefit for 24 hours, and then cross this boon off your Chronicle sheet.
Battle of Charda: Practice weapon play for 10 minutes and succeed at a DC 20 Intimidate check to gain a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls made with melee weapons.
Cenotaph: Pray for 10 minutes on behalf of lost spirits or the dead and succeed at a DC 15 Knowledge (religion) check to gain a +1 morale bonus on Fortitude saves.
Founder’s Flame: Meditate for 10 minutes before a flame and succeed at a DC 15 Spellcraft check to increase the DC of your fire spells by 1.
Mapstone: Study a map for 10 minutes and succeed at a DC 15 Knowledge (local) check to gain a +1 morale bonus on Will saves.
Mistress of Angels: Meditate for 10 minutes with any object that reminds you of the events of this scenario and succeed at DC 15 Religion to gain +1 morale bonus on Initiative checks.

Chronicle looks good! Thanks.
GM, when do you intend to start part 2?
Gitano Frallino

Chronicle is good. Gitano won't be leveling up.
Glorne

Chronicle looks good. Many thanks for the game. Good luck to you all on Part 2.
Actually, there is a slight mistake. The new total gold should be 4, 297, not 5596. Not sure if it matters or not if it's right on my character sheet.

Thanks again! Below the information you need.

Faction Goal: Did we complete this? Seems like we did.
(0/1)In the course of an adventure, purify a corrupted object or location, or remove an evil force that is possessing or otherwise controlling a creature.
If not then I'll complete this one taking 10 for 22 vs DC21:
(1/2)Forgo your Downtime and succeed at a Diplomacy, Knowledge (local), or Perform (oratory) check with a DC equal 15 + your character level to organize a charity event. Alternatively, donate resources worth 100 gp per character level to charity.
Hanlin
|
You definitely accomplished that purification goal, Hanlin. Should I update your character sheet?
If you want to put it on there then sure. Also add in I bought a scroll of water breathing x2 for 2PP.
Gotta put these PP to use for some consumables!
Thanks. All leveled and ready for action.
