Introduce you characters here. Reminder: If you have a goblin character, they got to have the Goblin Renegade background.

Will update profile later today, but for now...

Dahrehn strides into the room. He's slightly taller than the average human, with a wild crop of dark brown hair paired with a shaggy beard that occasionally glints with gold. His ears are slightly pointed, and his light brown eyes seem a little too large for their sockets - both features pointing to elven blood somewhere in his parentage. He carries a simple pack, filled with a collection of adventuring items, and wears a pair of belt pouches at his hips.

Well, it's been a while since I've had the pleasure of visiting the Deverin manor. What brings us here today?

Grand Lodge

You are greeted by the Keleri Deverin herself, who seems to be rather preoccupied. Ginger hair in dissarray, smile not as wide as you are used to seeing.

Master Hallea, I am glad you could arrive on such short notice. We are waiting for more of my adventurous friends to arrive. You know me, I am not a warrior and the task I have at hands asks for something actually mightier than a quill.

Character sheet here

Dahrehn bows cordially. Ms. Deverin, it is a delight to see you again. I shall be delighted to help, and look forward to lending my aid to others that will also assist you.

F Half-Elf Bard-1 | HP 18/18 | AC14 TAC12 F+3 R+2 W+2 | Spd 30' Init+1 Percept+2, lowlight

Shortly after Dahrehn arrives, Silvia is shown into the room as well. "Miss Deverin! I'm glad to see you looking well. Your invitation sounded urgent. Is there... oh, hello, my apologies, I didn't see you sitting there," she says to Dahrehn. "Silvia, Silvia Guye," she says offering her hand.
Like the man before her, Silvia is also of elvish descent, although it's plainly evident in her features. She's tall and willowy with sharp ears and cheekbones.

Male Goblin Paladin 1

The door opened and the sound of shifting metal aired as the new occupent entered. Although one would have to look lower than typical height to see the dark green skin with scars from what looked to be burns standing there. Oddly enough not wielding the makeshift weapons and scrapped together tribal leathers and rags one would see of his race. In fact, this one looked rather put together, for a goblin. Beneath a travelcloak and straps of a satchel and backpack one could see the glint of metal scales.

Sniffing at the air he looked around at the others, finally resting his curious gaze on Keleri. "Who sharpears?"

Male Elf Ranger 1

Ethylian walks in a bit later that he was asked as he had been listening to the birds. Humans were often picky about timing. He looked around at the group two humans, with some elven blood and a goblin...interesting.

Ethylian was a fairly typical elf, if a bit taller and a bit lighter than most. His hair was a light blonde and his eyes were a emerald green. To a human eyes he looked like a teen, but he was 111, still young by elf reckoning. He wore his elven fashioned hide armor, a quiver and bow along with two short swords.
"Hello friends." He smiled.

M Gnome Druid 1

Wandering in last was a scrawny looking Gnome with muted colors and a somber walk. A satchel hung across his chest with a shield strapped to his back. He wore hide skins that looked almost unused aside from the dry mud caked feet.

’Was told i could find Keleri here.’ He looked around at the taller folk; noticing the goblin among them a jolt of electricity ran across the Gnome’s skin and fizzled away in his hair. ’Just my luck’, he muttered to himself.

Grand Lodge

Keleri looked around and seemed to be more relaxed.

Glad to see you all here! So sorry about the short notice I gave you. Where are my manners! Does anybody want tea?

She called a servant and softly asked her to bring some tea and biscuits for everybody.

Several days ago I received an invitation from my cousin Kendra. He is a mayor of the nearby town of Sandpoint, very nice, quite place. He invited me to attend an upcoming Swallowtail Festival. I couldn't refuse, could I.

Well, with the festival’s focus on the consecration of Sandpoint’s new cathedral, I was hoping to bring a family heirloom, the Star of Desna, to receive a blessing. But there was an unexpected complication.

The woman let out a long sigh. Than clapped her hands. A female goblin accompanied by a manservant entered the room through a door in the far corner.

Meet Talga, of the Muschewer tribe. She and her tribesmen broke into our family vault and stole everything! Including the relic, the Star of Desna!

Ms. Deveri was nearly shouting the last line and got really angry and red faced. Talga looked as if she was trying to shrink and turn invisible.

Grand Lodge

Sorry, I am still angry, when I think of it. Where was I. Yes... I found the vault in dissaray and filled with dead goblins. This one was hiding in the corner. She told me that she and her friends were working for a vampire hobgoblin Drakus, who calls himself the Taker, but decided to rebel. Alas, they all got slaughtered. All, except for Talga.

Mr. Tender, would you be so kind as to tell us your former tribes name? Was it this very Mudchewer tribe, lead by a hobgoblin?

Keleri addressed the strange armored goblin.

F Half-Elf Bard-1 | HP 18/18 | AC14 TAC12 F+3 R+2 W+2 | Spd 30' Init+1 Percept+2, lowlight

Ah, send a goblin to catch a goblin. Makes as much sense as anything else. Silvia waits to hear what the armored goblin has to say before asking to hear more about this vampire hobgoblin.

Male Goblin Paladin 1

The sharp-eared longface came in behind him and Tinder continued to look curious...until the gnome came in. Red eyes narrowed and tiny gloved hands flexed. It took him a moment to realize there was something different about this one, though, and the large head tilted to the side and one brow raised high questioningly. Large mouth opened to say something, but was cut off by Keleri addressing them and turned to the longshank to listen, keeping the gnome within his peripheral.

When the other goblin entered and the Mudchewer clan was mentioned, TinderTender rose both brows, nodding when the question was asked of him. "I Mudchewer. Used to. Drakus bad. He steal from Shiny Sword Goddess! Or try, TinderTender stop him!" Putting his hands on his hips and looking rather proud of himself at that. "If he take Shiny Star Goddess shiny star and attack tribe, he insult more goddesseses!"

Male Elf Ranger 1

Ethylian blinks listening to the goblin. He thinks he gets the gist of what he is saying.

Character sheet here

Dahrehn is a little uncomfortable actually being around other elves, but politely takes Silvia's hand to reply, Charmed, and extends a polite greeting to Ethylian on his arrival. He's fascinated by the well armed and armored goblin, and the oddly-apparelled gnome.

After tea, he offers, Ms. Deverin, I'm sorry for your family's losses. I stand with our... well armored ally here, he gestures to TinderTender. If there's a chance to both help your family and take back a relic of Desna, then I'm happy to help. I trust Talga and TinderTender can share information with us about the tribe's lair, if that's where it's been taken?

Male Elf Ranger 1

Ethylian smiles. "You know me, if I can help I will. DO we have any idea where this thief has taken the star?"

M Gnome Druid 1

’A couple of green skins that aren’t even good at what their kind are known for; not sure how much help they plan on being. This Vampire one though, needs to be put back down in the dirt; and that Star obviously needs to be in better hands. I’ll help where i’m able.’

Grand Lodge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Thank you, friends. Thunder, I know you have certain reservations about the goblins, but Talga here can show you to the current hideout of the tribe. And Mr. Tinder sure knows who to swipe his sword right.

Keleri Deverin seemed reluctant to continue.
I also hope that their involvement might save us from a bigger bloodshed than necessary. And if the hobgoblin is indeed a vampire, a man of faith will help you prevail. However strange his appearance might be.

Male Goblin Paladin 1

The little scarred goblin just raised a brow at the rest of them and walked over to Talga, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and facing their direction. Head to the side so as not to bump with her own, which only added to the 'really' look he directed at Keleri. "Longshanks have no sharp ears..." Then turned to the two half-elves "...Sharpears not as sharp as longface..." Which took him to the elf. "...who not as sharp as goblin ears..." Then those beady little red eyes leveled on the gnome, "...and pale gnome not even good for bait because taste bad!"

Jumping up in the air, the little goblin flailed his arms in exasperation at Keleri while hopping up and down, "And you say TinderTender look strange?!"

Turning to Talga, TinderTender shook his head with a shrug, "I know. Longshanks weird, but most good."

Grand Lodge

Fair enough. My apologies, Mr. Tender.

Male Elf Ranger 1

Ethylian nods as the others talk."Maybe we can track them from their hideout if they are not there."
He nods to the tin plated goblin's words. Strangeness is always subjective unless one seeks otherwise. Certainly his words were easier to follow now. He did find it amusing that a goblin was passing judgment on the goodness on others and he expressed it in a smile.

Character sheet here

I'm no stranger to fighting the undead, Ms. Deverin. I hope to help as best I can. We will see you soon, I hope.

Ready to go!

M Gnome Druid 1

’Glad to know eating me would ruin your appetite. I would hate to be the reason you fall back into old habits. Though the longer our quarry keep that Star the smaller our chance of finding it again; and something precious to Desna is precious to myself as well.’

Male Goblin Paladin 1

The little goblin nodded his approval, with a brief pause to look at Grey, not entirely certain how to take that statement. Finally just nodding along with the latter part. "TinderTender agree. We go!"

F Half-Elf Bard-1 | HP 18/18 | AC14 TAC12 F+3 R+2 W+2 | Spd 30' Init+1 Percept+2, lowlight

Silvia looks to the female goblin. "What can you tell us about this Drakus?"

Grand Lodge

I am in a place with some really lousy internet, so I will rush the dialogue. An no map yet. Sorry it will get better tomorrow.

Next morning the heroes packed and bravely ventured into the depths of the Magnimar sewers led by Talga. She told them the terrible stories about Drakus. How he lead away any goblin who would displease him and then return him back to the tribe bloodless with holes in the neck.

As they got closer to the hideout, she grew more silent. Until she finally stopped before an entrance to and old ossuary.

Here. Kill Drakus. Before kill Drakus, no one speak. But after - help tribe. Talga asks. Please.

You start before the entrance in an exploration mode. Tell me, how you wish to enter.

Male Goblin Paladin 1

The next morning TinderTender showed up much the same as he had the day before, only with a a bossed heavy metal shield and longsword strapped to his back as well as the backpack. When they gathered and Talga joined them, TinderTender brought extra mutton, just for her. Knowing what their appetite could drive them to do better than the longshanks, he wanted to make sure she was well fed by goblin standards.

When she told of what Drakus had been doing, TinderTender gulped, wondering if that could have been him had he not successfully ran away. Even still he tried to raise her spirits and reassure her everything would be fine in his own little goblin way.

When they stopped, TinderTender looked inside and nodded, retrieving his shield from his back and strapping it on. If Talga didn't have a weapon of her own, he would give her a dagger from his belt beneath his cloak just in case she ran across danger herself. Then, when they were ready to enter, drew his sword and headed in.

TinderTender will attempt to lead the group in using the Defending tactic.

F Half-Elf Bard-1 | HP 18/18 | AC14 TAC12 F+3 R+2 W+2 | Spd 30' Init+1 Percept+2, lowlight

Preferring to leave melee to her heavier armored associates, Silvia is not in front. Instead she tends to move around the middle of the group, with her sword in one hand, and her harmonica in the other. She does her best to keep her eyes open for any hazards that may be before them, beside them, or above them.
figuring someone else will use detect magic, she goes with the search option If nobody else appears to detect magic as they move along, she'll switch
@Grey Thunder: btw, happened to glance at your character to see what you had and you have a few things off. Example, your perception would be Trained (=lvl, so +1) +Wisdom bonus(=+4) so +5 total. Your fort save is expert (lvl+1=2) + con (+2)=+4 total. Please don't take this as criticism, we're all learning, and it took me a while to put all this together myself. All your skills are gonna be at trained now (pretty sure you can't get expert at 1st lvl) + stat bonus, so your survival is +5, and your acrobatics is +4.

M Gnome Druid 1

Walking just a few steps behind the Bard, the Gnome calmed himself to focus on the magical energies flowing to and fro. Goblins weren’t known for their skill in magic, but they also weren’t known for being vampires either; better to be slow and cautious against this tribe.

I’ll take the detect magic tactic. I’ll also take another look at my skills. I know i have to take one away since the arrata dropped Druids from 4 skills per lvl to 3.

Grand Lodge

Important reminder that everybody starts trained in unarmored now.

Grand Lodge

And we are back online!

Talga refused the dagger offered by Tinder Tender. She was too much afraid to go back inside. But she was grateful enough to draw a map of the hideout for the group. As accurate as she could remember.

Here is the map as drawn by Talga.

Please find the layout of the lair following the link above. And while you are there, fill in the info on your characters if you want it reported for PFS.

@Maxim: I made Silvia as a regular alias, not a PFS one. Does she need to be PFS?

No, it's only if you need the playtest credit for PFS.
