Looking on in disgust at the cannibals Indra knew these things couldn't be reasoned with. The hostile stance of the things resolved any quandary she might have at holding back until they attacked and so, with a step to the side and focused thoughts of lifting and flinging and an emotion akin to anger, a small rock floated up from the ground and went winging in at the creature.

"You fiends will have to look elsewhere for your meals, for I am the slayer of cannonballs!" Carried by the grey wolf, Braggett closes the distance to the cannibal in an instant "This rock is now under my protection." and he swings his weapon at the wretched man's chest.

Computerly speaking the worst week of my life...
Indra and Agis psychic throws fail to connect due to the mist. Lord Braggett pushes his wolf to move faster and he reaches the first warrior but misses him! At the same time, the sylph witch slips behind the flamboyant cavalier and curses the same man! However, the curse finds nowhere to take place upon the bloodthirsty warrior!
Iqaal conjures a large area of grease in an attempt to trip the first warrior he sees while Findlefarb starts to cast a sleeping spell. The warrior however stays strong on his legs.
You all hear a savage and inhuman shriek and sees multiple warriors going for you with clubs! All of their eyes weep rivulets of fresh blood!
The purple-clad one goes for Agis, while the red-clad ones tries to follow him and slips on the greasy area, falling prone. He then takes time to get up. On the other side, the blue-clad one steps up to let some space for his buddy, the yellow-clad one. The green-clad one goes after but doesn't find anywhere to go, so he tries to circle the gnome. And provokes an AoO both from the wolf and Braggett.
The purple clad misses Agis, due to his inaccuracy. The blue-clad hits Bragget while the other two fumble around, too blood-thirsty to focus. The leader stands still, his mouth open and his eyes filled with blood.

He speaks a single word in Auran to complete the spell: "งุนงง"

Sauntering away from the combat between man and cannibal, Findlefarb comments: "Mindless cannibals! I mean, who chooses that as a profession? Indra was so startled that her first missile actually swerved around and hit that she didn't manage to pull of the same feat with her second one. With another burst of aggression in her mind the globule flew out at the nearby barbarian.

Indeed, a CLW wand is hardly frowned upon :)
After the fight, you heal up and search the bodies. You discover that the almost naked native of the land that attacked you collected, in their search for food, half a dozen trinkets that are fanciful hand-sized shape of twisted precious metal worth 75 gp to a collector. They only have a hide armor and a club each.
You look at the bodies more closely and think that they were in a dire state of hunger and heavily weakened by it.
You now have time to explore safely the surroundings and find several spots of interest. First, you find a crudely carved post is a gruesome scarecrow constructed of tree branches, jungle vines, and bloodstained human bones. The skull-headed effigy accusingly points a bony arm down the trail leading west.
This was certainly made to ward off something. It looks like a superstitious totem to you.
Further, you find a large standing stone, about five feet in diameter and twelve feet tall. Carved into the dark stone are dozens of leering one-eyed humanoid faces, their mouths agape as if preparing to appease some unspeakable hunger.
This standing stone was most erected by people from Ghol-Gan shortly before the empire’s fall. The stone served as a religious monument intended to appease the cyclopes’ dark gods.
You approached the stone? How foolish of you! Make me a DC 12 will save! :D
Further, you find a crack in the earth splits the ground here, most of it covered by thick weeds and the roots of a huge strangler fig tree. There are several gaps between the roots through which an adventurer might squeeze. Below the tangled roots is a deep shaft that descends into the gloom.
