Ok - I've settled on a pure blaster style human wizard Thassilonian Wrath and Primalist (both from Inner Sea Magic). Fire and force spells combined with metamagic like Toppling Spell.
My DM pitch is the same as I had up before - a Golarion that has been fused with the first world and the Eldest / Unseelie Court hold sway.

dotting!
I'll be using this Avatar, nothings up in the profile yet I just figured i'd put it up here. I'll be taking him into the Halfling Opportunist prestige class in a couple of levels.
As a intellectual, archaeologist type, I wonder if anyone has any suggestions on which knowledge skills Jaska should be looking at to know a little something about the cracked mirror happenings, My gut says (planes)
Yeronimous Nethysborn
Reposting Yeronimous here, along with the background. I think that James should run the first introductory part that is shared among all the players, and then we should split in 2-3 groups with different tasks and DMs. I'm willing to be a DM for one of the groups.
There he was purchased by an old wizard, called Yeronimous Rentellion, to be his bodyguard. The man was a famous enchanter from Absalom, part of a Nethys conclave of powerful mages dedicated to study and preserve the balance between the different magical forces. This conclave needed protection, because its activities could have been opposed by the enemies of Nethys' cult. And a wizard's bodyguard is nothing without some sort of magical training. So Zeke started to dabble with magical studies.
Back to Absalom, Yeronimous was very good with Zeke, granting him freedom soon enough and taking him as an apprentice rather than a servant. Zeke trained in magical attacks and defenses, while at the same time developing his own shield and hammer combat style. At the same time he started worshiping Nethys himself, his eyes opened by the infinite potential than magic is capable of. A potential so great that chaos would ensue if not for people capable of controlling it.
When the dreams started, Yeronimous started working day and night to understand the phenomenon. The constant studies tired and worried him, but the results were very few. Zeke tried to help as much as he could, but his magical abilities weren't much compared to his master. Then Yeronimous mysteriously disappeared, only to be found dead from unknown causes days later. Most of his notes disappeared too, and the few that were found resembled scribblings and rambling of a mad man rather than studies of a magical phenomenon. After the murder, the conclave was dismissed for fear than someone or something was trying to kill all the mages in it. Zeke found himself alone, without a purpose, and feeling himself guilty for not being able to protect his master.
Then the letter from Prester Gallowsmith arrived. It was addressed to Yeronimous, not to his apprentice, but Yeronimous was already dead. Zeke did not know who Prester was, but decided to answer to the call himself, since it was what the old wizard would have done. He took the name of his master as a sign of respect, choose the surname Nethysborn, gathered what was left of the notes and swore to get to the bottom of what was happening, and to avenge his mentor's death.

What do you guys think about a Kellid Cavalier w/mastadon mount? It kind of splits the difference for me when it comes to cav vs. barbarian. I have been reading up on the Kellids and the Lands of the Mammoth Lords recently and I think these guys have pretty rough way to go in Golarion. A shamans vision paired with the dreams will be an excellent reason to head out into the world I think.

From the PRD:
A character can take more than one archetype and garner additional alternate class features, but none of the alternate class features can replace or alter the same class feature from the core class as another alternate class feature. For example, a paladin could not be both a hospitaler and an undead scourge since they both modify the smite evil class feature and both replace the aura of justice class feature. A paladin could, however, be both an undead scourge and a warrior of the holy light, since none of their new class features replace the same core class feature.

Good to know! I don't know why I used to believe that you can't pick multiple archetypes.

This is Bilbo's Barbarian. I have a long baackstory written up and will post it if you want me to, but the Cliff noted version is as follows;
Crewnark is a powerful warrior hailing from the Realm of the Mammoth Lords. Coming up in a harsh environment under constant attack by orcs, Technic League minions, and the White Witches, Crewnark trained long and hard to counter their magic. After defeating a powerful orc warlord he claimed the monsters weapon as his own. After being plaqued by dreams of strange beast and places he has never heard of, the village shaman so him a bird carrying a message and a map. Crewnark takes this as the only to answer the questions raised by the dream visions.

Well, I'll specify that i'd like to be a player and can also GM, either way is good
For the Campaign World if i run i'd like to pitch a distorted Golarion where a number of the evil gods formed an alliance and forced their united church all across the land, with followers of all the other faiths being forced to the far corners of the inner sea
For the player character, I'm thinking of doing an ranger/rogue specialised in two weapon fighting, I'll have a concept up soon (i hope)
Deevor
No I can't resist it, I'll get up a character and join. I'd rather not commit to the GM stuff until I can a) give it more time and b) get the alternate world sorted out...I'll probably come in as a Witch or Oracle, as I like witches and never played an Oracle yet. So disregard my previous post, I am in as a player...I'll get one up soon.

I'm thinking of a world in which the events of Second Darkness happened shortly before the death of Aroden. No one was able to stop the drow, and the new starfall was taken to be the event responsible for the death of the god. In addition to the general destruction wrought by the falling star, substantial parts of the world are menaced by creatures of the Dark Tapestry that followed the star to Golarion.
Zeldones
(This is John Woodford's cleric of Desna.)
For character generation, what about traits? I suggest letting people have two--one their choice and one campaign-linked. Something like "Sensitive: For reasons unknown, you are more aware of the changes in reality. +2 to Perception checks related to reality distortions." I also debated adding a saving throw bonus against effects related to reality distortions. Thoughts?

Getting to quite a healthy number, are we feeling confident enough to run with two separate groups?
Zeldones
I will, though it may take a bit longer to start than next week--depends on how much time I have this weekend. (I'd interpreted what you were going to do next week as running the intro for everybody, so we were all on the same page, then we'd break it up.)

Works for me.
Alright, three DMs: Zeldones, Ulgulanoth and me. We'll draw lots or just cut them players up Solomon style and see who loves who.

I have a Barbarian ready to go, but will I need to switch him out? I would imagine that a couple of barbarians in the same campaign may be difficult to keep alive, lol. I can easily whip up a different sort of warrior. I might just go straight fighter if so. Character stays the same, class just changes. Maybe the barbar and Crewnark can be from the same region.
