Patenemheb: The camel that was nearest to you on the map was Tairin's and she's in the saddle. Not sure where Mehys is in the bunch that stampeded.
Oops, I'll correct.
Patenemheb leaps to his feet and attempts to follow Mehys and stop him doing additional harm.
Move to V4, or W4 if V4 is occupied by camel. Not sure if I can make a ride check in turn 3 or not.
She Who Knows |
Reflex Save, She Who Knows: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Includes +1 from bardic performance and +1 from aid. Which does no good at all. :(
Patenemheb Sitayet |
With bardic performance as well, if Paten got to make that Ride check in turn 3, the total would be 14
Caslav of Lamu |
Round 4
As the camels panic and stampede around him Caslav fills with relief when the pair directly in front of him strain at their harnesses but remain tethered to the remains of the wagon. The feeling quickly passes, however, when he realizes that most of his cover has run off.
"Daniya - stay put!"
He looks nervously up at Samir and the bandits above him. He's got to make it up there! Setting another bewitched rock into his sling, he sends it sailing towards the bandit harrying Samir. The shot goes wide, but miraculously ricochets off the canyon wall behind the Zorabi and comes back at him from behind...

Bjoern moves to the next Bandit and attacks.
1d20+11; 1d10+9
Given that Bjeorn did not make the Reflex Roll I will do so at this time.
1d20 ⇒ 3EDIT: Bjeorn has failed his roll and is considered Prone at -S:4 and has lost 22 HP.
Cas; your rock has hit the target and he seems both shocked and angered... You are currently unharmed.
Paten, you are able to grab your camel and are adjacent to him, but it still took damage; you did not.
Red; you are down 22 HP and you are currently Prone.
Ala, you survived to suffer only 11 HP damage and you're up at -L:8.
I'll toss up the actions for the NPC's soon.

If it hits –
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
EDIT: Lyssander drops bandit 3; Samir is now 35 feet off the ground; Yetara is casting; Daniya is hiding under the wrecked wagon and handing over the bow and Sefu is close to Yetera and ready to try to ascend the cliffs before the bandits have lost their blindness.

Caslav of Lamu |
Round 5
Caslav winces as another arrow grazes him, then loads his final stone into his sling and sends it towards his attacker with a vengeance. He smiles as the stone strikes true, then starts towards Daniya but balks at the rearing camels.
"Throw them to me!" he calls to the girl in Susrahnite.

Caslav can't really end up in a valid space if he moves to Daniya, so he'll wait for her to throw him the bow and quiver and spend his actions next round arming himself with them.
Ala’Ihys the Archer |
’My leg is better than I thought, but I definitely broke a couple of ribs…Alive, and it looks like everyone else is still alive, at least for now.’ His back against the cliff face, Ala’Ihys mentally checks on his own health and then peaking around the corner to see how everyone else is doing. ’Lysander is holding his own, and Sefu is trying to get to the girl. If Yetara would kick it, that might solve a lot of our problems. Probably wishful thinking, but we clearly need to get rid of those men up top.’ Focusing on the barbarian ’U3’ slightly to the right, Ala’Ihys leans out, drawing an arrow back to his ear, and slowly exhales as he releases the shaft. Seeing it fly clearly over the nomads head, Ala'Ihys curses. "Blast, I need a clean shot."
He then calls to the Cavalier, ”Lysander can you move your camel south so I can step from behind this rock to shoot?”
It looks like Ala’Ihys position gives the barbarian cover also. Move action: Bullseye shot (divine marksman) Attack: MW Susrahnite Longbow, deadly aim, inspire courage

Tairin of the Veils |
Round 5
From her position to the side of her camel, Tairin let herself gently drop to the ground (dismounted camel). She then took a 5ft step to the side of the cliff, pressing herself against it, taking advantage of the partial cover it provided against the Zorabi archer/s above. (She is still holding Haji's lead rope in her hand.) Tairin stopped her singing and began to discreetly cast, laying her off hand holding the reins/lead rope against her side.

At this time Yetara reaches out his hand and touches Sefu and lets out a series of dark and hideous sounding words as he does so –
Spider Climb
Sefu leaps to the rocks and begins to ascend swiftly; quickly ascending to 20 Feet above the ground.
Meanwhile, a Swarm of spiders crawl out of some broken cracks in the rock and move up quickly to Bandit 4 (the Spider Swarm will arrive at the summit on Yetara's next turn, but you can all see them appear as they rush up the cliff toward the enemy.[/ooc]
Samir continues to try to ascend the cliffs with accelerated climbing –
Accelerated Climbing
1d20 + 3 + 1 + 3 + 4 - 5 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 1 + 3 + 4 - 5 = 24
Lyssander does what he can to guide the bulk of the camels away from the party.
Daniya tosses Caslav the bow.
EDIT: Samir has now reached 50 Feet with Accelerated Climbing - next round he will be able to get over the ledge; however, the enemy can now attack him with relative ease at this point.
Sefu is 20 Feet up the wall and moving fast.
Yetara is watching the stuff on the heights, but his eyes are hard and dangerous - Daniya, for all her bold words the night before, seems to be outright afraid at the open killing in the canyons...

Caslav grabs the quiver and bow from the ground, slinging the former over his shoulder and giving the latter a quick test pull on it's string. He then nocks an arrow and begins studying targets.

Tairin of the Veils |
Round 6
The Zorabi scoundrel was tossing rocks down upon her and she managed to move out of the way of most, except for a medium sized rock which hit her on the right shoulder. Tairin bit down to stop herself from crying out from the quick, sharp pain. There was a small cut where the edge of a rock had pierced her skin, but it was not too deep. She would take care of it after the Zorabi jackals were dispatched.
She led Haji 5ft forward and quickly tied her rope to the other camel to ensure Haji did not bolt and hurt herself.
Then using the camel and the rock wall for some cover, found hand and foot holds in the rock and began to climb up, steadily at first to see how she would go. She remained pressed as close to the rock face as possible, in case the enemy from above threw more rocks down on her.
Climb with Luck bonus from Prayer (DC 15): 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 1 = 17
Two move actions: Tie her camel to the other one, and, begin to climb the rock wall. She manages to get up 7 ft (1/4 speed) out of the 50ft rise.

Ala’Ihys the Archer |
Bandit 4 attempts a shot at Ala… If it hits ..
It hit, and DR prevented damage, so a 20 rolled and a 19 rolled and no damage, of course the camels are killers, who’d of thunk it? :-)
Wise Counsel to give Al'hys a +4 insight bonus to next ability check
”Thanks!” Seeing Lysander move his camel to the southern side of the canyon, Ala’Ihys steps that direction, just in time for an arrow to ricochet off of his armor,
”Blast!” He glares up at the shooter, just in time to hear Patenemheb tell him to ‘fire now.’ Drawing an arrow from his quiver, ”I intend to.” He nocks the arrow and drawing the fletching to his cheek, notes the wind, and the man’s movement and exhaling slowly releases the shaft.
Unable to hear Tairin’s song any longer, he watches along the edge of the wall to see if everyone else is still moving.

Fortune (Su)
Effect: The witch can grant a creature within 30 feet a bit of good luck for 1 round. The target can call upon this good luck once per round, allowing him to reroll any ability check, attack roll, saving throw, or skill check, taking the better result. He must decide to use this ability before the first roll is made. At 8th level and 16th level, the duration of this hex is extended by 1 round. Once a creature has benefited from the fortune hex, it cannot benefit from it again for 24 hours.
Cackle (Su)

Samir elects to try to defeat at least one of the enemies near him -
Attack on Bandit 7
1d20 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 5 = 26
If it hits -
1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Daniya takes another knife from her sleeve and throws it at the same bandit -
Attack on Bandit 7
1d20 + 6 - 8 ⇒ (7) + 6 - 8 = 5
If it hits -
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
EDIT: Sefu is able to hit his target and does an additional 13 damage - Bandit 5 has taken 36 damage. Yetera attempts to Demoralize the Bandit (DC = 10+level+Wisdom Modifier) and is successful; bandit 5 is considered "Shaken". Samir was able to have a critical potential on Bandit 7, and Daniya missed - Samir will attempt to convert.
Rolling to Convert -
1d20 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 5 = 18
If it hits -
1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
EDIT: The roll was successful and the convert worked - Bandit 7 has lost 42 HP and is now dead.
Enemy Move Soon...
Dain GM |
Seeing that he cannot get past his friend, Bandit 4 dumps more rocks down on Bjeorn -
Reflex Save for Half - remember; you need to make a Climb Check to maintain your grip if you are damaged with the rocks -
2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
Bandit 5 takes another attack at Sefu, though it is not as hard as before as he is considered Shaken...
Bandit 5 Attacks Sefu -
1d20 + 3 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 3 + 6 - 2 = 23
If it hits -
1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Finally, the fresh Bandit near to Samir attacks him with his scimitar and rage -
1d20 + 3 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 6 = 11
If it hits -
1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
EDIT: Bandit 4 did some modest damage to Bjeorn, but you all have little doubt that the Northman will not be greatly wounded, if at all - though it is possible the rocks may cause him to tumble from the cliffs - yet only time shall tell! Bandit 5, though Shaken, still manages to hit Sefu - at this Daniya lets out a shriek of fright as the wound scores an ugly slash across his arm.
Meanwhile, it seems that Samir is very lucky as Bandit 6 missed him completely... That said, it's now your move!
Tairin of the Veils |
Round 9
Tairin's song continued in strength to bolster her allies. (Free action to maintain.)
Looking for new hand and foot holds, Tairin attempted to continue climbing upward, yet she could not manage to gain momentum or find access.
Again, she attempted to move up the cliff face and still, she made no momentum and her fingers curled into the rock and dirt out of sheer frustration. I was not born to climb cliffs in such a fashion.
Climb with Prayer bonus (DC 15): 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11 (A Climb check that fails by 4 or less means that you make no progress.)
Climb with Prayer bonus (DC 15): 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 4 + 1 = 14 (A Climb check that fails by 4 or less means that you make no progress.)
Tairin attempted two move actions to climb the cliff, but she made no progress. She is still currently 36ft up.

Caslav of Lamu |
Round 9
By the time I climb this wall Samir will be long dead. Caslav readies the bow again as he moves back into the canyon, but this time he ducks under the camel and attempts to hide behind it's bulk, hoping to stay hidden from the raging bandit above. If he thinks I'm still down there trying to climb the wall, maybe he won't see my next arrow coming.
Keeping himself low and his bow horizontal to the ground, he peeks up across the camel's back and sends an arrow into the vicious melee between Samir and the bandit...

Patenemheb Sitayet |
Patenemheb keeps looking around, seeing the precarious balance the fight hangs in.
I shall either have a great deal of work to do after this - or very little.
In Yar-Ammonite, he shouts to Tairin:
"Swifter! Samir and you can flank him!"
Wise Counsel for a +4 insight bonus to Tairin's next ability check
