Hopefully Haldor can remember to come on and do some healing. Meanwhile I'll introduce the next room since it seems I have confirmation from two of you on a direction.

Taking the western doors, Fergus and Paul open them to reveal another hallway that turns to the north. After a short ways the passage empties into a large, odd-shaped chamber. After Fizzlebomb throws his lighted rock into the middle of the room two sets of double doors are revealed, granting exit from the room. However, the most interesting feature is a picture in the middle of this room that shows flickering images of a sinister castle situation in the middle of a swamp. Except for the image the room is quiet and empty.

The blue wave-looking thing on the map are the flickering images.

As Paul steps into the room to examine the picture he notices that the image flickers on occasion, making a crackling sound as it does so. His studies of history do not help him to bring a name to the castle shown, however he does feel that it is likely from a long, forgotten age judging from its architecture.

Fergus is lost when it comes to the magic involved but Fizzlebomb is pretty confident that the image acts as some sort of portal from this location to the one seen in the image. As Paul ponders further the gnome's suspicions appear to be proven as true as a large, slimy creature with a yellowish hue slithers through the image and roils toward the fighter!

While the arrow penetrates the thing deeply it still manages to cling to life! The slimy enemies then attack the party!

Haldor somehow misses the slow-moving blob with a clumsy swing! Sain kills one with a well-placed arrow! The others continue to attack! Who?: 1d3 ⇒ 3

The lone creature misses, however Paul strikes it and it splits into two as before! It can't split anymore but by now you must have figured out that it is immune to slashing damage and it splits as long as it has more than half of its hit points.

Haldor decides to take a look around as the last of the multiplying jellys is defeated, but sees nothing out of the ordinary... until two dark exaggerations of humanoid shadows emerge from the dark corners of the shimmering image! The pair of shadows attack Sain and Haldor!
