A dry cough breaks the silence followed by a low, "This is Jasper Varmine checking in as well. I feel obligated to say that it is a pleasure."

Jasper Varmine |

Was leaving an Orc left with his body now dead, but still possessing his animated skin a bit cruel? Yeah, but just imagine someone else stumbling across it has me chuckling, especially as it would only have 3 Strength so it couldn't really hurt anyone with its weapon.

Galendir d'Arden |

Checking in.
@GM I was hoping to spend the rest of my wealth on a Copse Cart with coffin. It would be driven around by some enslaved or loyal men that I would have wolves or bats deliver messages to, or I would fly out and meet them to make sure they are staying close. Basically always within a few miles incase the bad happens and I get turned to mist. I was going to look around the internet for coffin ideas.

Alright another post. Well done Senna. I'm guessing you guys are not as active on here as I. I love me some warhammer theme. My buddy ran kingmaker live game and put it in the warhammer fantasy setting. He made the mites in book one a scaven den. It was quite fun.

Sounds good to me feel free.

Gah, hiccuped on responding to your posts twice Galendir.
When you said included "characters of our renown would probably bee known", I thought you meant that he was expecting to BE known with that guise.

Galendir d'Arden |

no worries. Yeah I would think we would all not know each other but probably know the names. Even you guys being mercenaries at this level you would be some of the most famous in the world. Gale you would have never heard of though, but the name Galendir d'Arden would be well known to any that have come close to facing the vampire counts. It should make for some good RP if others start posting :( I know the GM said things would move forward sometime today.
Look at the group though.
A paladin of Sigmar, An angelic Monk, A sorceress and a Chaos Barbarian with your truly. Hope the chaos barbarian takes the heat from the paladin as I continue to use my non-detection and disguise :)

GalendirDArden It was pointed out in recruitment that, wayfinders are not in this game world they are items from the pathfinders on another world, IIorn stones fine. But slotting stones into a wayfinders is out. The Wayfinder item is not listed on PRD that I kind see, much to my disappointment. One of my fave items to, with slotted stones its cool.

Bertradis |

So is Bertradis the only one that finds having a ton of vampires running around a problem?
I must admit all the chaos religion, undead use, and a mortal Sigmar Prince kind of have me off balance seeing as Bertradis is a Sister of Sigmar. So is the prince's name a coinidence or is he just a not a god yet?

Senna Proviso |

Some of that I'm not sure is an in-character issue yet, i.e. Being in the heart of vamp central. This is definitely a mixed bag.

Jasper Varmine |

Being in the heart of Vamp Central would make Jasper wary ... but the entire area has already slowly been eroding away at Jasper's commitment to the Empire anyways. Besides, he is ... kinda half-way there in some aspects with Mummification(Ex).
Sorry for not responding yesterday, PC troubles and finally got it back up and running.
So a giant army, that is slowly starting to starve, hmm... Jasper doesn't have much in extracts or items to help the huge numbers. Water Purification Sponges sadly wouldn't help dealing with the magical nature of the corruption of the water.
Looking over my Alchemy notes to see if anything pops up to craft that could help.

Jasper Varmine |

Well, depending on how things work out. There is Instant Fertilizer (Pathfinder: Alchemy Manual).
When sprinkled over a 5-foot patch of ground, non-creature plants and fungi in the area grow with alarming speed. While the intended use isn't what I had in mind, but rather the fact it could be used to grow a massive amount of mushrooms or potatoes to feed the army. Either of which should still be somewhere in the limited rations of the army still.
It would take an hour and three minutes to craft three bags, taking 10 on the alchemy check, and cost 20 gold. During the six hours of the night where Jasper doesn't sleep, he could get 18 bags(120 gold) crafted by morning to use to help make food. Or about 90 square feet equivalent of food grown via potatoes(The Martian is on the brain, hence Potatoes). More, if he spends daylight hours on crafting the stuff as well.

Bertradis |

Bertradis wrote:So is the prince's name a coincidence or is he just a not a god yet?The Prince is not the Sigmar that founded the Empire, that occured some 2,500 years ago.
The why a Norse Prince is named after a southernling god has yet to be revealed.
Ah, very good then! I'm less at a loss now. Bertradis isn't capable of helping feed the army, so she's just standing around all stoic like for moral support right now.
As to having undead in our empires service... I suppose it is too late to undo that damage.

Jasper Varmine |

I hope things have gone well with the surgery for your pup, Galendir.
Starting a list of things to craft before the entry into the mountains on my part. I know Alchemist's Fire and Artokus's Fire are on the list, but still trying to decide what else would have potential use. Spider Sacs, Tunnel Creeper, and other things might prove useful.
And yes, Jasper will share the details on the Frost Giants with others so they may prepare as well.

Jasper Varmine |

True, though the Vamp side still needs to at least drink a certain meal which may not go so well with the living donators and how many there are.
Still deciding what to craft for the night for the mountains ahead. I'll post a list tonight and the time required.

Jasper Varmine |

Crafting in the six hours of sleep unneeded, 1x Tunnel Creeper, 2x Impact Foams, and 2x Spider Sacs. Takes six hours, costing 130 gold, taking 10 on Alchemy checks (Result 53). Wanted a Tunnel Creeper on hand more then I wanted the Arktokus's Fire, so I passed on crafting any for now. A just in case tool, tunneling through rock and supporting it. Impact Foam for if chaos decides to play havoc. And Spider Sac for rope/lasso use.
Probably not going to be useful immediately or soon, admittedly.
Craft(Alchemy) = +43 (53 result for Take 10)
Master Alchemist(Use GP value instead of SP value)
Swift Alchemy(2x Faster Crafting)
Tunnel Creeper(280 gp, 25 Alchemy DC + 10 for faster crafting)
280(GP)*7(Days)*8(Hours)/(53(C.Alchemy)*35(DC)*2(Alchemist)) = 4 hours and 13 minutes
Impact Foam(25 gp, 20 DC + 10 for faster crafting)
25(GP)*7(Days)*8(Hours)*60(Minutes)/(53(C.Alchemy)*30(DC)*2(Alchemist)) = 26 minutes
Spider Sac(30gp, 20 DC + 10 for faster crafting)
30(GP)*7(Days)*8(Hours)*60(Minutes)/(53(C.Alchemy)*30(DC)*2(Alchemist)) = 31 minutes

Jasper Varmine |

Poor Bjorn, alas Jasper didn't care for him. Though why do I get the feeling this isn't quite the last Prince Sigmar has seen the last of him ... and next time poisons won't work?

Jasper Varmine |

IC reasons for Jasper's comments there.
One, he is trying to keep the task of getting King Hrothgar to the Daemon King's Tomb ALIVE easier for everyone. Less attempts on his life, especially while we are busy, makes that easier. On the thoughts that Sigmar would react to how Jasper thinks he would react, and stop the attempts (for now).
Two, he has started to like the Shaman Visilk and willing to attempt to prevent Prince Sigmar's death if he can help ... assuming it doesn't go against his tasks for the King of course. He is the one that is paying them, after all, so if the King decides to delay his order? All the better. If not, well he tried even if just slightly.
Can't help but think of the situation similar to a SciFi story I read a while back in The Human Edge, "On Messenger Mountain."
