Anca's attempts to impress were somewhat doomed to failure. As she threw it, instead of going in, it bounced off the basket before flying out past them into the crowd. The reward for it was a familiar voice (Jubrayl) going, "Ouch! What the hell?"
Anca winces as her bag slaps into the back of Jubrayl's head, but she quickly composes herself, "Ummm, he did it." She says as she tilts her head in Bogan's direction.
While he wanted to be a bit upset about getting thrown under the carriage by Anca, he couldn't help but be impressed by the shot. And since he didn't want the lady to get into trouble with a guy with goons, he decided to keep his gob shut and let people think what they wanted. 'Wow. She is good. Don't think I could've pulled a bank shot like that...'
The bag soared through the air, flopping into the hole.
The old lady gave a small claps. "Congratulations, good sir. Here is your reward."
She placed a small bag with 5 gold on the table. "Perhaps use it to buy something nice for the lady?"
"Probably not a bad idea." Bogan commented as he took the pouch and put it in his bag.
She watches Bogan's bag sail into the hole and lets out a flapping breath between her lips, "Just my luck. Desna's favor seems to have eluded me this day..." She makes a fake pouty face which quickly dissipates as she grabs another bag.
At this moment, a loud sound like peeling thunder came from the stage. Standing on stage holding a thunderstone was Father Zantus.
"Attention everyone. I would like to announce that lunch, provided free by various eateries of Sandpoint, is ready. Please make your way to the food tables to try some delicious local dishes and please--"
Zantus' words were cut short by some woman screaming, and a loud dog barking. Said barking was suddenly cut short by what could only be described as a cutting, gurgling noise.
While he was just as shocked as everyone else, the fighter's instincts began to kick in. The disturbing noises pointed to one thing.
"Wh-What's going on?"
"Trouble..." Bogan replied seriously, losing his cheerful demeanor as he started to ready his tower shield.

While she had a hand in discovering a number of hiders, Ven remained out of Trisha's sights until the thunderstone struck and signaled the beginning of lunch. The mesmerist almost suspected her of cheating with magic or similar methods, but dismissed the possibility just as quickly. Still, she hoped that Ameiko's cooking could cover up the bitter taste of defeat.
"Attention everyone. I would like to announce that lunch, provided free by various eateries of Sandpoint, is ready. Please make your way to the food tables to try some delicious local dishes and please--"
The woman's scream didn't startle the demi-human as much as the sound of the dog's violent end. After letting the unsettling chill roll down her spine, her thoughts first drifted to finding a place to hunker down... then she cursed the disruption for ruining the day, started moving toward the source, and pulled off her gloves, revealing fingers tipped with long sharp nails more reminiscent of claws then human hands.

Sabina glared at the half-orc. "There's no need to be rude. In less savory parts of the world that kind of talk can start trouble. Let's do what we can to keep this festival nice a friendly, yes?"
"Hah! Nice to see the fish-man here needs a woman to defend him. If you weren't so damn polite, I might be a tad offended..."
Ven moves from spot to spot, wanting to laugh as the seekers try to find her. When the good father throws the Thunderstone, she stands up; when the woman screams, she reacts speedily, moving towards the source of the disturbance but refraining from drawing her blades just yet.
Ven's keen eyes pin-pointed two things. The first was the source of the bark; a now dead dog lying in a puddle of blood, it's throat slit. The second was the one responsible; a short, green things with a big head, hiding under the food cart, licking blood from his jagged blade.
Finally, someone screamed above the crowd.
"Goblins! Run for your lives!"
Suddenly, all around, the little green murders suddenly rushed in. Anywhere you looked, there they were. The closest grouping, however, where 3 goblins who had suddenly lept upon the food table, and were now in the process to grabbing every piece of food they could. As they did this, an unsettlingly catchy chant in a language few understood rang out over the mayhem.

It soon became apparent that licking a blade and attempting to attack a barrel where both very distracting things, as the two goblins there failed to avoid the attack. It was the one on the table, who had been in the process to stuffing food into his pockets, that managed to avoid the brunt of the blow.
| Trisha Halcyon |
'Goblins.' Trisha thought to herself. 'Of course it would be goblins.' She didn't know much about the creatures, but it didn't take a lot to know they were a blight on Varisia's people. Her study of languages had proven useful before, but she'd always regretted learning Goblin. The gibbering involved gave her headaches and none of the pests she'd heard before this had anything intelligent to say, and these ones were proving no different. Two more reasons they needed to die. It seemed she wasn't alone in her sentiments, either. Ven reappeared and dashed toward them with weapons in hand. And another woman had just unleashed a mouthful of flame upon the group.
Unfortunately, she wasn't much for close-range combat. She fought with her mind, not her muscles. So first, she fixed her gaze upon the goblin closest to her and started to weaken its mind with psychic energy. Then, she gathered her thoughts, calmed her mind, and started using a simple knack to cloud the goblin's thoughts and prevent it from assisting its comrades against the coming danger.

The goblin under the table(Blue) had been severely burned by Sabina, which had successfully gotten it's attention. However, instead of doing the smart thing, he ran over to the tent, cutting out a piece of cloth, and drapped it over his head.
The one attacking the barrel, however, upon noticing the encroaching hordes, tried desperately to clamber on top of the barrel.

Trisha smiled on seeing the dumb little thing's eyes glaze over for a moment... and looked past it in time to see a starknife pierce the other one's throat and the fire-breathing woman miss the one hiding under canvas. As glad as she was to see more people doing their best to eradicate the pests, she had to focus on her own contributions. Unwilling to waste stronger magic on it but reluctant to move in close and get slapped with a fish, she keeps her gaze on the goblin, and moves towards Ven's side.
The moment she gets close, she stops and pokes the half-elf's arm. "Open your mind and let this in." she tried explaining as she tried planting the illusion. "I'll explain everything later, but this will give you the opening you need. Just... trust it."
