Solo Hollow's Last Hope (Inactive)

Game Master Corsario

Perched at the edge of civilized lands, the small town of Falcon’s Hollow has always had to rely on itself to solve its problems. Meanwhile, the uncaring lumber barons squeeze the common folk for every last copper, deaf to their pleas. Now the hacking coughs of the sick are heard throughout town. The plague has come to Falcon’s Hollow and the town’s leaders can’t be bothered to stop it.

Leo starts speaking in the strange tongue. The kobold answers, and they start to dialogue. After a couple of minutes they both laugh.
"He also thinks you are somewhat slow for your size! Gurtlekep is a nice lad, he is tasked to watch over the ruins, and prevent" - he uses a word in kobold that makes the creature laugh - "like you to enter the tunnels of his people. I fear Ulizmila is no more! Their shaman thought that by eating her they would gain magic powers, but it seems the recipe was not correct, and they only got a case of stomach-ache. A bad end for the old-woman, but I always told her she was sweet! Got it! Sweet!"
Leo starts to laugh again.

Ford just deadpanned at their laughter at his expense. But at least that answered one problem... not how he'd like, but at least it was resolved. "Alright, smart arse, very funny. Now what about the mushrooms? Does he know where to find them? I just want to grab them and be on my way before it's too late for the town. Are they here or not?"

Leo starts talking to the kobold again, which at first seems very friendly, but suddenly changes his demeanor to a more frightened one.
"Gurtlekep wanted to barter about the mushrooms, but I told him that the last kobold that tried that I had flayed by you. That made him more cooperative. He says he can go into his lair and get a big basked of them for us. And a whole lot of his friends too, I guess. So I convinced him to tell me where they are. I can lead you to them. Can we kill him now?"

Male Human Sorcerer (Eldritch Scrapper)/1

Ford just stared dumbfounded by Leo's explanation of the whole conversation. "Wha...why would you... that's awful! And we haven't killed any of the kobolds! I... o-okay... whatever..." He eyed the kobold a moment before lowering his blade and stepping back towards the door. "...no. I promised that if he told me where they are, I'd spare him. And I'm a man of my word."

Ford sighed, shaking his head, but kept his blade at the ready. "Alright. Where are the mushrooms? Let's get 'em and go home."

Leo huffs.
"Not even wack him up a little? You are no fun!"
While leaving the room Leo keeps talking to the Kobold.
So Ford leave the Kobold alone and unharmed?

Male Human Sorcerer (Eldritch Scrapper)/1

Yes. Probably not the wisest move, but he's banking on the notion that staying true to his word and a bit of restraint will influence him positively. (Doubtful, but one can hope)

Ford sighed and shook his head. "No. I told him I would not harm him if he answered my questions, and he did. I stand by my word."

Leo guides you to the north side of the monastery, into a couple of rooms.
Room 15:
This small study looks like it has been lived in recently. Gnawed bones litter the floor and tufts of gray fur can be seen here and there. An old stone desk sits in the center of the chamber, scratched and cracked in many places.
Room 16:
Gaping holes in the roof allow faint light to enter this ruined chamber. One of the stone columns that once supported the ceiling is toppled, its broken pieces littering the floor.
A thick patch of black mushrooms hides in a nearby corner, giving the room an earthy scent that is barely noticeable above the stench of decay.
In the dark corner of the room grows a small patch of ironbloom mushrooms, six in all.
There is a staircase leading down.
Leo whistles.
"The little devil didn't lie!"
Congratulations! Ford is level 2 now! Let me know when you finish leveling him up. And heal him to full.
