they could be sold for about 375 gold. Stonewall grabs the pertinent tomes and shoves them in his bag. Stonewall investigates the trident with interest but is undecided about it, "Any of you guys want this?"

Alset recovers his arrows.
"I think it would be wise to read these and see if they tell us anything about defeating the storm bringing machine."
Achahut's intimidation was so great that the spellcaster died before being intimidated. Something about a greatsword...

You can go ahead and do the 4 hours of research right now, but when it comes time to roll the Use Magic Device check, you'll need to have the storm seed to attempt to disable it. Basically this gives you a way to disable it without: A. Having a trained UMD character, and/or B. Blowing it up.
Ood Ironforged
Ood is also interested in reading about Chitauli, grabs a tome and starts pouring over it. Ood interrupts his reading with various tidbits he found interesting including appropriate historical points. kn: history: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Anything you're confused about, or want to know about the plot of this adventure? You've got all the info you need, but you've probably forgotten it all.
Mud wakes up from his catnap. One-and-a-half more rooms lie to the west.

So, there was some sort of split in the storm kindler group? I thought they were gozreh followers but they’ve got all this Kelezindra stuff going on. What happened to them? Did they try to make a storm before? Who is this Chitauli person?
Kargold "Stonewall"Steelpounder
Odie stomps into the houses. The largest is the only one that contains anything of value, and after hacking through weeds and vines he finds a secret sagging compartment in one of the walls. Inside are old papers too decayed to read, a +1 flail, and a silver holy symbol shaped like a shark's fin.
Old Journal wrote:...have decided to exile Chitauli rather than acknowledge his insight and take the bold steps needed to survive. The Eye is a sign from the Wind and the Waves, and if we wish to truly take control of our destiny, we must master the same energies that birthed it. These conservative old fools are content to wring their hands and wait while Lirgen rots around us, and so the true Storm Kindlers depart for the south. Chitauli has agreed to guide...”
How does this connect?
Also, how much XP for the clerics?

So, there was some sort of split in the storm kindler group? I thought they were gozreh followers but they’ve got all this Kelezindra stuff going on. What happened to them? Did they try to make a storm before? Who is this Chitauli person?
Storm Kindlers are Gozreh worshipers who live in the Sodden Lands. Chitauli was a Storm Kindler, but was exiled because he was a heretic who believed he could read the future in the storms, and therefore change fate by harnessing the power of an eternal storm like the Eye of Abendego. But as exiles, the real Storm Kindlers banned them from getting near the Eye of Abendego, so Chitauli and the heretical Storm Kindlers traveled here and constructed the Sky Tempest Temple to create their own eternal storm to control.
Despite Chitauli's rituals over the years, however, his followers became disillusioned and defected because he never fulfilled his lofty promises. So, in desperation, Chitauli turned to Kelizandri (whose holy symbol is a shark fin), the evil Elemental Lord of Water, and constructed the Storm Engine below that actually worked. When his remaining followers found out he had betrayed their belief in Gozreh for Kelizandri, they killed him (his soul may still haunt this place...). His death caused the rituals binding the Storm Engine to go haywire, killing the cultists in the ensuing release of energy.
Achahut knows that, decades later, the lizardfolk used the temple on occasion because it was a solid structure to take shelter in in the jungle. Daruthek, the big bad guy running the Storm Engine currently, is the only lizardfolk *born* at the Sky Tempest Temple, and is therefore infused with magical electrical/aquatic blood. He has researched these same papers and learned how to restart the ritiuals Chitauli used. You also, after researching, can use your knowledge of these same rituals to disable the Storm Seeds.

The party moves to the room in the west. Inside, arcs of lightning leap between a curious collection of glass and metal devices. A collapsed tunnel once exited to the northwest, and door leads to the east. A small alcove sits in the western wall, in which a fist-sized orb of yellow crystal floats three feet above the ground.
On either side of the Storm Seed are two medium Air Elementals. They watch you enter the room, but do not otherwise respond.
In the center of the room, you see a slight flickering of two yellow eyes before they vanish again. A string of yellow, wispy energy connects to the storm seed for a brief flash. "Did.... you... say... Chitaluli...?" you hear a disembodied voice say.
Kargold "Stonewall"Steelpounder
Stonewall moves to the front of the group and readies his shield, prepared to back up any action the others initiate.
GM Mervikoth
An evil aura emanates from the area you saw the glowing eyes flash briefly. Then you see a ghastly humanoid form before you, made of smoke and shadow with two glowing eyes.
"I... am... Chitauli!"
Round 1, AC 18, hp 47/47, Incorporeal
Confession time! I read incorporeal and think invisible ALL THE TIME in Pathfinder. He is visible, but without physical form. Relevant info: Incorporeal
Achahut: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Alset: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Ood: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Stonewall: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Mud: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Chitauli: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
The spirit of Chitauli reaches out with a wispy black hand and uses his incorporeal touch to drain Stonewall of his lifeforce.

Fort save DC 17: 1d20 + 8 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 8 + 3 = 28
Negative energy is just another type of damage. The opposite of a paladin's lay on hands. So Stonewall takes 2 damage.

As Stonewall misses horrendously, the lightning arcing across the room zaps his shield arm. While the lightning is easy to dodge during normal circumstances, if you make a mistake in combat you will get struck by lightning.

"Looks like you've got feathers to spend anyway, when else are you going to have a chance? We'll watch them for you until you get back."

Sorry for the delay in posting.
They fold their arms.
"No," one says.
"We don't need breaks, like mortals do," the other says. "When we are charged, heh heh, with something, we perform that duty to the end."
"If you want to try, I can add a few more feathers to my pocket," the first says, plucking one of the feathers on Achahut's headdress.
Yeah these guys can't be swayed. Also, it's a Bluff to deceive, Achahut.

I figure the AC for it is 10 + either 2 or 4 depending on whether its tiny or Diminutive but i think it hits either way. For concealment, higher is better right? So if I roll concealment, then 1-20 means I miss right?

Electric damage: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5, 4, 4) = 17
Achahut, Mud, and Stonewall take a blast of electricity as Stonewall's axe destroys the storm seed.
Well that was easy.
The air elementals look at each other, then look back at the destroyed storm seed, then back at each other.
"Hmm..."
"Ranged weapons. Should have thought of that."
One shrugs. "Well, I guess we're done here."
They walk past you, unthreatening when Achahut hits them. "Ow, you big lizard! The seed is destroyed, you big meany!"
Kargold "Stonewall"Steelpounder
What's the range on that blast? For some reason, I thought you had to be right next to it. I was thinking we would be out of that range, I thought I was 20 ft away going by the map. Also, does it not hurt the elementals?
GM Mervikoth
You're right, it's 10 feet. So no one is hurt, haha. Also the air elementals are immune to electricity damage.
Ood Ironforged
"Well, I was thinking about helping, but I guess that will do it... Onward, I think there was 1 or 2 more seeds right?"
Ood starts working his way back to the center chamber.
