Some observation during your conversation reveals very little- Noveria is a very unique place and you all get the feeling that its ebb and flow is more akin to an oversized corporation than an actual planetary settlement. It takes a while for an exploitable sign to pop up, but one does in time: what looks to be a surge in individuals wearing green and black uniforms, delivering individual meals from local restaurants to individuals tenants in the building. From where you are it does seem as if building security talks to them for the briefest of moments, but quickly allows them to move on to make their delivery. You can't quite make out anything more detailed than that.
Hestia Harper
"Looks like green and black is the fashionable choice on Noveria if you want to move around. Now we just need to get some of those guys out of their uniforms," Hestia observes. "Or, alternatively, get a job."
Theron Iskios
Theron says, "Depends on our timeframes. Trying to get a job will take longer and leave more of a footprint if anyone figures out what happened. I'd say the best bet would be to fake - or better still - steal a uniform. I imagine the depot or the cleaners could provide one. Heck, given how greedy some corps are, we could probably just tell the company store we're new and go buy one."
Hestia Harper
"Makes sense to me. We could get a uniform apiece, each get an "order", then reconvene near 101 when we are all past security," Hestia suggests, then makes a beeline for the nearest bag-carrying, green-and-black courier.
"Excuse me," she says somewhat frantically, "I just got hired and... well, where do I get the uni? I wasn't paying attention. Help a sister out? I need this job!" She gives the courier an pleading yet somehow vapid look.

"Some of these gig outfits will let pretty much anybody be an employee, if that is even the right word," Dern says.
Grace crosses her arms, looking apprehensive.
"Let's hope. Maybe we can hide our weapons in some packages while we make the infiltration. The sooner we get off this planet, the better..."

The salarian you approach lets out an exasperated sigh. "I wish I could say I was surprised. Things have been going downhill since Voulet left. That said, I'm not going to turn down help. Why not help me carry in a few of these lunches, and I'll see about getting you a uniform later?"
Hestia Harper
"Awesome! Sounds like a deal!" Hestia beams at the salarian, beckoning Theron over. "My friend just started, too. He thought I'd have better luck finding where to get a uni than he would. More hands to help with the lunches! Hey, what about tips? Does anyone ever come across with gratuities? And where are we going to deliver? Offices or residences or both? Are they gonna charge us for the uniforms?" She keeps a running stream of chatter going at the poor courier to keep him from being able to think too much, and starts grabbing orders.

The salarian almost seems happy- its hard to tell with them sometimes. He hoists over lunches for each of you and notes that your omnitool will let you know where it is supposed to go.
Hestia Harper
Hestia grabs her case of lunches and checks her Omnitool for her directions.
Once the Salarian has returned to his business, she takes a moment to talk quietly to the group. "This should get Theron in to the area he needs to check. I can deliver this case, then swap with him to finish delivery. We don't want anyone suspicious because they didn't get lunch. Sound like a plan?"
Hestia Harper
Hestia nods. "Then it wouldn't be obvious that you were scanning the place, Theron. What are you guys going to do while Theron spies and I deliver lunches. Oh, hey, anyone want lunch?" She sniffs the courier bag appreciatively.
Hestia Harper
"Right. Let's move. I have tips to earn." Hestia checks her Omnitool and heads towards the lifts.
"I wish we had the uniforms," she says quietly to Theron as they go. "If you get caught or get flak from anyone, ping me on the Omnitool. I'll play ditzy screwup, you can play annoyed co-worker." She cocks an eyebrow at him for confirmation.

There isn't too much to see aside from the uniformly garish colors of various eatery employees, which are the sole spot of color in a drab corporate landscape. The local networks are flooded with advertisements for the Commander Shepard icon for the newest Ancient Circle game, making the omnitool link cluttered, but functional. The food packages are to a company on the 64th level, and the packages themselves allow for entry to that floor- but your target is several floors up. Still, despite being on the wrong floor, an element of the team IS in the building.
Theron Iskios
Theron keeps an eye out, watching the security systems, especially when he's alone in the lift. Might be the sort of thing we could bypass..
Alertness: 1 + 4d3 - 8 ⇒ 1 + (1, 3, 1, 1) - 8 = -1
But if my Tripwire Sensibilities applies...
Security: 4 + 4d3 - 8 ⇒ 4 + (2, 1, 3, 2) - 8 = 4
Who is that masked DM?
Oh, I'm totally behaving on this first trup - it's just that stunt lets me find traps and the like via Security instead of just Alertness
Okay just checking.
It is not that hard at all to hack, it's just a matter of doing it subtly...and...done. You have access to the floor in question.
The trip up is quick, soft and professional, and when the two of you step off the elevator it is onto Hestia and Theron make an Alertness check, otherwise it is a carpet that is the very definition of plush. Recessed lighting makes the hallway seem dim, however, and you could swear the very little sound you make is eaten byHestia or Theron can make a Systems check, otherwise it is something you can't quite put your finger on, but the sensation is a bit disorienting.
And a hallway is all it appears to be, a T shaped intersection with the bottom being the elevator and a small sign at the end of the hallway reading Room 101, indicating you should turn to your left to get there.
Downstairs, the remainder of the team remains in position, Zinnius make a Systems check, Grace make an Alertness check, otherwise you are doing little more than watching the procession of food service workers going about their duties.

Alertness: 2 + 4d3 - 8 ⇒ 2 + (1, 2, 2, 2) - 8 = 1
"Wow, nice carpet. I'm gonna look for where this lunch goes." She squints at the lunch as if it were the greatest mystery of the age, waving it like it wasn't sending her where she expected to go, playing up the disorientation slightly. She moves to the top of the T and looks both ways to see if there's more than just 101 to the left up here.
No Systems skill.

Recessed lighting makes the hallway seem dim, however, and you could swear the very little sound you make is eaten bywhat only Theron swears is a sound scrambling device that would keep anything up to moderate caliber gunfire muffled to the immediate area. In real life terms, it would be like putting your ear next to one of those old, huge speakers for our parents stereo system, but the sensation is a bit disorienting.

Grace nods slightly in the direction of the large human men, then speaks quietly to Dern:
"Pretty sure our infiltration team's been made. Think we can risk letting our people know, or should we try to handle this ourselves? This is more your area of expertise than mine..."
Zinnius Dern
”We should warn them. I do not think a frontal assault is advisable in this location - which is rare for me to say. But do we know they are after our team - or is something other than normal business going on here?”
Dern sends a quick message to Theros and Hestia: Some heavies entering the building among the delivery staff. Could be you are made. Could be something else is afoot in this building.
Theron Iskios
Theron flashes back, Thanks for the head's up. We'll try to give 'em a wide berth, though I worry that someone else may be poaching our quarry.
He does his best to blend in with the scenery when he steps off the lift, trying to figure out if he has a clear way out... before remembering himself, and watching for Hestia.

The group makes a hard right as they go inside the building, and Grace swears they speak to someone, maybe? Make a Perception check to see whom, or Zinneus can attempt a Systems check to listen in[ooc] before disappearing down a hallway, any pretext at being a deliery person. You know that hustle.

Looked like we need two?
Hestia checks her omnitool and sneers at it. "Great. Want me to take your delivery bag and stall anyone coming off the elevator?" she sends to Theron.

for a few moments, but then, you are right there. The door is closed and there is a very obvious, private home style BRING doorbell doubtlessly linked to a camera for the inhabitants next to the door. You can hear [ooc]Hestia and Theron make a Perception check to determine what type of [/ooc[ music coming through the door, even with the sound reduction. Also, someone is singing along. Badly.
ugh. Autocorrect. Ugh.

Searching would be Alertness again? Investigation? Would Tripwire Sensibilities let me use Security from the whole 'avoiding trap' thing?

You can use Investigation for this, where Hestia has failed

"There's too much hallway for one door," Hestia whispers, running sensitive fingertips along the wall, looking for a break in the surface.

Yeah.
You are aware that there is more to this hallway, but have no idea where these phantom rooms are. It strikes you as an uncanny waste of space at the moment.

It's an out of the box security system. You're through it in moments. You can open the door, flip the camera to see what's inside, or first one and then the other.
