"Shanya!" Kalt cries out in alarm as the giant's mighty axe cuts into the changeling woman who has grown so special to the ice-blooded Ulfen. "Die, damn you, so I can kill your brother," he says fiercely, turning his attention back to the giant at hand and slicing at him viciously with his blade.

Bad luck plauges Avora as both her spear thrusts fall short of a strike... but Shanya's luck seems even worse! The giant lashes out as she backs away from the fray, the giant axe swinging towards her head.
Sven, son of Bjorn, proves dependable as ever as he delivers a solid blow to the giant's shin.

Lana siphons some of her health into Shanya before pausing and realizing that the woman needs more than that to sustain her for long. Reaching out a crisp black hand, the northwoman focuses on gathering life from the surrounding area and imbuing her comrade with it. Second level 2 spell today.

The giants curse and shout warning, swiping at their comparatively miniature foes with mighty swings. The wounded western giant swings in a great arc at all three opposing him: Kalt, Avora, and Sven. The axe cuts a great bloody swath, wounding all three deeply and coming dangerously close to lopping poor Sven's head clear off - only the heavy armor turns the blade at the last moment.

Avora, in her furious response, sinks a sphere deep into the giant, bringing the enormous creature to the brink of collapse, although it remains on its feet and dangerous.
Greta is struck once by the giant she faces - a solid blow that leaves the worg woozy and wimpering. A second strike just barely misses the worg, Lana's defensive magic saving the she-wolf from death.

Seeing one of the giants fall, Kalt wastes no time in hurrying to the other. He stays clear of the giant's great reach, stepping just close enough to extend his own blade and strike!

Kalt tenuously lands a strike upon one of the servants of Kostchtchie, opening a large wound in its shin. The creature is, however, far from subdued.

The giant's cleaving swing catches Sven in the shoulder awkwardly. It was the kind of glancing blow that, from a man, wouldn't leave anything more than a nasty bruise but from a frost giant such a minor blow was still enough to crumple armor and shatter bones. The big ulfen clenches his teeth and inches forward toward the surviving giant, touching his injury long enough to will the pain away.

Lana pauses a moment to inhale, then releases a burst of life-energy over the party. Channel Energy.
Channel:5d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 5, 3, 3, 3) + 1 = 18 Kalt and Lana receive 10 hp more than that due to Fey Foundling. If it heals you up to max, any excess points (up to 9) persist as temporary hit points for 9 rounds.
The worg suckles from Shanya's proffered potion greedily, the juices trickling down her chin. When she is done, she nearly looks like some manner of displaced beast. Lana, meanwhile, offers her font of magical healing to bolster her teammates.
The giant reels under Sven's quickly moving axe, bleeding heavily. Furious, it focuses it's rage against Sven - and in that moment, the gods nearly abandon Sven as the giant's axe catches the warrior square in the chest and nearly knocks him flat. It is only the combined healing of Lana and his own divine patron that save Sven from unconsciousness or death.Crit for 105 - 38 if you have a way of negating the crit.
Ankih, nearly in a flat panic at the sight of Sven's blood, resorts to throwing fire at the beast, squarely burning the creature in the chest.

I think Sven's reference to Haste had to do with the extra attack from Blessing of Fervor.
Seeing Sven struck by a devastating blow, Kalt steps in and returns the favor to the giant, striking it powerfully over and over!

"DIE!" Avora screams, a primal, savage howl of rage. She stabs again at the stubborn foe. Again, putting the BoF bonuses to attack/saves.
Sven's world explodes with pain and his vision grows dark as the giant's axe is buried in his side with lethal force. The big man teeters but refuses to fall. With a defiant roar and what remains of his strength, he hacks back at the offending giant.
The combined fury of the heroes almost manifests as physical thing - axe, greatsword, and spear almost simultaneously fell the second of the remaining giant guards, it's strange blue blood leaking out from a half dozen places as it breathes a frosted last breath.
Greta limps over and falls prone next to Sven; she begins licking her wounds.
The symbol encrusted doors to the eon pit lie ahead, with whatever horrors and wonders within lying in wait.

Lana moves among the group, healing their wounds and giving her own strength to them. Assume that Lana takes 25-30 points from each person with Life Link, then heals the rest.

Lana's uncanny power over living flesh works quickly, turning Sven's wound from a bloody life-threatening gash to a painful, if shallow, flesh wound. Feeling stronger, he begins picking through the slain giants' things. The big man stops when he finds the potions. He removes the stopper from one and chugs its contents before uncorking the other and offering it to Greta.

Kalt lays a hand on Shanya's shoulder to ensure she's all right, then gives Sven a quick look to be sure his old friend is ready for whatever comes next. "Ready?" he asks all his companions and, when they nod in return, he adds, "I don't expect we'll be surprising anyone on the other side of this door, after fighting two giants right here. This will be tough."
He then strides to the door and opens it, attempting to do so as quietly as he can.

The door opens smoothly despite its age and the great weight of stone. Inside is a voluminous chamber - empty save for a great pit in the center ringed with menhirs. A set of stone stairs spirals its way down the edge of the pit, leading to blackness below. Kalt quickly slips out of sight before two a creature - a centaur and a huge demonic beast turn to meet the heroes as they enter.
The centaur is a primal looking, burly centaur with a great hammer strapped to its back. It is clear that it has been pacing for some time at the top of the stairspaces at the top of the stairs. Vsevolod... the name almost comes unbidden to the mind. Something inside burns at the sight of him - the murderous worshiper of Kostchtchie who builds alters from the bones of witches.
Beside him is a hulking creature has the lower body of a massive stallion with eight thick legs. Rising from its equine body is the trunk of a muscled humanoid with icy blue skin and a prodigious white beard rimed with ice. Piercing blue eyes glare beneath beetled brows and a spiraling pair of horns which curl upward.
Vselvood slams the ground defiantly with his hammer as the heroes enter.
(Iobarian)"So the witches have sent more fools to protect their secrets. " He smiles, an expression both feral and frightening, teeth shining like a predator's smile. "This time they've even brought men to do their dirty work - perhaps this will be more of a challenge this time. Perhaps their blood will finally unlock the secrets here!"

Rango - I'd prefer not to have moved further away from the fight after coming in the door. If possible, I'd like to use my surprise round action to move 40', going through the door and arriving next to the ice-centaur-Sleipnir thing, then use my regular round to full attack. If that isn't possible for some reason, just disregard the second attack roll.
Kalt slips through the door and moves quickly next to the ice-horse/giant hybrid. He's unsure what it is, but he strikes at it powerfully all the same.

Lana's eyes rove back and forth over the scene, and something clicks in her mind. "It... it may try to trample you. Svathurim! You will not triumph here!" she calls, hardly knowing what she's saying even as the words tumble out of her mouth. Cast debilitating portent on it; second level 4 spell today.
Kalt darts in stealthily and slashes across the chest of the great beast before it can react, leaving blood welling up. Moments later, a gout of flame rushes towards the creature, brushing its flank as it moves to the side.
Lana stares at the beast and summons the holy power which lurks inside her; the glowing green aura of her spell wraps around the Svarthurim's body and the creature looks confused and lost in the befuddling magic.
Err, sorry. My mistake; Mr. Slepnir isn't a demon (CE Huge monstrous humanoid (cold)) Flavor text and statblock don't match up very well. If that seriously impacts anyones actions you can change them. This means it does take a bit of extra damage from the fire.

Avora moves into the room and does as Sven had bade her, conjuring a wall of ice between the two allies. The ice is 8 inches thick, 40 feet long, and 20 feet high.

Kalt and Sven soundly hit the svathurim as it rushes into them - but when Kalt moves to attack the centaur priest, his blade is turned by the breastplate encasing Vsevolod. The creature laughs mockingly.
