Female Human Paratrooper Medic

"Roger that."

Capturing a live specimen of these Lizard men would surely help them in developing active camo technology, Anna thought. However, the science experiments could wait. They had aliens to snuff out.

Male Human Dude

You're the boss. Let's see what happens.

Jack shoots the alien (that Mark points out to him) and hits with 2 degrees of success.

Drumroll please.....

My wife also says hello to everybody

Male African American SWAT Close Quarters Weapon Specialist | " Diehard "

Tell here I said Salutations Fair Maiden Mrs. Jack.

Afterwards Pete plays cleanup on any left.

Female Human Paratrooper Medic

Well hello there Mrs. Jack!

If Mark O.K's to shoot another Target, Anna open's fire and hope that Pete catches any straggler or puts down her target if she fails to down it.

Spoiler:
1d5 ⇒ 3

Jack's shot is on target catching the enemy by surprise and leaving the enemy spasming on the ground. Anna and Pete's combined fire catches a second enemy as it tries to move into cover. The volley of fire echos through the caverns followed by a moment of deafening silence, then a low echoing wail begins from somewhere further into the caves.

Male Human Dude

Jack takes the next round or two rushing up to the alien and binding it with manacles.

Cover me folks! Looks like I'm bagging us a live one.

Male African American SWAT Close Quarters Weapon Specialist | " Diehard "

Pete moves up quickly and tries to knock the Lizard out after checking the vitals of the first. " Pick up his weapon and store it. Make sure he is out and ready for transport, then hide him in the passage we came through. We don't have the method so far to carry him back with us but then we can keep it safe until extraction. "

Pete then sets up a killzone two the next rooms, expecting trouble. While Ashley is dragging the Lizard out of possible fire range.

Overwatch Semi-Auto Ballistics 60: 1d100 ⇒ 56

Reconnaissance Specialist | Callsign "Spectre"

The sudden assault catches the two aliens by surprise, and Mark moves into the chamber. He grabs the alien weapon, stowing it in a pouch on his webbing, before taking up a position to cover Pete as he binds the unconscious alien.

Ill find some cover where I can keep an eye on Pete, ready to shoot any aliens that move towards us.

Female Human Paratrooper Medic

Anna and Jessica stay back to cover their Rear as the others rush forwards to bag n' tag their unconscious target.

"...Looks like I'll need to stock up on sedatives from here on out..." Anna mutters to herself.

Male African American SWAT Close Quarters Weapon Specialist | " Diehard "

" Maybe we can get an injector delivery system somehow. Inject a fast-acting paralytic with the jolt of the gun? "

Female Human Paratrooper Medic

"Like, a Super-Powered Elephant Tranquilizer Gun? I don't see why not. I bet the egg heads could brew up something fast-acting when not regulated by the UN or whatever."

Spoiler:
1d100 ⇒ 63

As Jack puts a set of manacles on the stunned enemy, Pete sees 4 more enemies advancing down one of 3 passages that lead further into the caves. His initial burst wounds the lead enemy but he remains standing.

As appears to be standard the other enemies weapon starts to disintegrate from the acid released when he died.

Female Human Paratrooper Medic

Anna, if she can get a clear line of sight, will aim as a Half-Action then fire a Semi-Auto Burst using Jessica's Tracer Rounds to help her home in on the targets.

BS = 37 + 10 (Jess w/ Tracer) + 12 (Aim w/ Mod Stock) + 10 (Short Range?) = 69

Crit Effect: 1d5 ⇒ 3 I rolled a 2 so is that a Headshot? or is 02 reversed to 20 for a Right Arm shot?

Male African American SWAT Close Quarters Weapon Specialist | " Diehard "

A thunderous discharge of shots ring out from Pete's weapon as the enemy approaches.

As per overwatch they need to make a Challenging (+0) Pinning Test of Be pinned

" I suppose that more could mean more weapons we get at the least. But safety over ideal. This was only from one side I expect more. "

Pete focuses down another as they likely scatter for some type of cover.

" Ash, try and maim them as they attempt to get away, it'd make it easier for the rest to pick them off. " Ashley nodded, switching to her shotgun to give a widespread cone of support fire.

After Jack secures his alien, he takes a turn to reload his electric pistol and then the second round fires his pistol at another enemy:

Reconnaissance Specialist | Callsign "Spectre"

"We've got all the living specimens we need. Don't hold back," Mark calls. As he does he slides his Mk23 into it's holster, the need for stealth gone, and pulls his M4 up on it's three-point sling. He pulls the stock into his shoulder, and fires off two rounds.

Free Action to Quick Draw, Half Action Aim, Half Action to Semi-Auto an alien. I've assumed medium range (38-75m).

Anna's burst takes out the lead lizard, despite it dodging the first shot as it it pinned. The second despite ignoring the suppressing fire Pete initially unleashed is cut down by his second burst.

Jack's taser shot would have connected if the lizard didn't dodge it at the last moment. The creature returns fire as it advances, but it's shot is wide.

The last of creatures stops, and you notice that it's head is significantly bigger than any of the other lizards you have encountered. A strange bluish energy seems to emanate from the creature towards the team, but it fades before it makes contact with any of you.

You can hear the alarm still going off and the calls of other lizards from within the caves.

Male Human Dude

Jack reloads his taser and awaits orders.

Kill 'em all, grab the one we have and go, it's all the same to me. Tell me what you want done.

Female Human Paratrooper Medic

"Uh, that big headed one is doing something and I don't like it. It literally shot light at us! From its head!"

"Is there a slightly more fortified position we can back up to and funnel them through?" Says Anna as she fires another burst focusing on the big-headed one.

"Hopefully we can bring that things body in for testing..."

BS= 69 as above: Half-Action Aim, Half-Action Semi-Auto Burst with Jessica lending a hand.

BS Test: 1d100 ⇒ 71 Nope.

Reconnaissance Specialist | Callsign "Spectre"

The big-headed alien presents a nice target for Mark, even more so after the light show. "Don't know what that was," he remarks, "but I don't want to see it again." He fires off another two rounds, this time sighting on the big headed one.

Half Action Aim, Half Action to Semi-Auto the big-head alien. I've assumed medium range (38-75m).

BS 44+10(Aim)+5(Custom Grip): 1d100 ⇒ 92

With his new training in awareness, Jack tries to determine where the source of the alarm is coming from:

Jack takes a shot at the laser lizard, or "Lazard" as he now thinks to himself to see if we can't take it alive:

Male African American SWAT Close Quarters Weapon Specialist | " Diehard "

Pete runs like a well oiled machine, spreading fire such that it made the enemy have to recover from his barrage. " If we can capture them, fine. Kill them otherwise, there is alot we can tell from a dead body. "

Pete sets sights on his new target.

" This is effectively a raid. We are here to cause as much strife as possible, eliminate any hostiles and retrieve valuable data. The only defensible area is the tunnel behind us, and I'm testing this armor for sure. "

Weird it won't let me roll

"You got it Pete," Mark calls over the noise of the firefight. "We've got a weapon and a body, we've seen some of what they're up to, we don't need much else. If it looks like they've got reinforcements, we're out of here."

Female Human Paratrooper Medic

"Roger that, sir."

Spoiler:
1d100 ⇒ 401d5 ⇒ 31d100 ⇒ 541d100 ⇒ 79

Jack hits the big headed lizard with the taser, knocking it out for a few moments.

Pete hits the second lizard twice, but it is still up. Its return fire goes wide.

With the alarm still going off it is hard to hear if more lizards are advancing on you.

Male African American SWAT Close Quarters Weapon Specialist | " Diehard "

" Roger, Someone work on finding that alarm. I'm rushing over the next Lizard to secure it and put pressure on anything left. That should give Bob and Jack time to do what they need to. Ash, you make sure he gets cover. Going in. "

Pete rushes forward with purpose, running towards the remaining Lizard and leaping over the incapacitated variant drawing his Mono-knife from the thigh. Ashley moves along checking their 9 and 3 o'clock before hovering over the variant Lizard about to apply some well deserved gun butts to the face soon.

Run 21 m up to Lizard

Male Human Dude

Crickey! Looks like I got it- going in.

Jack and Bob rush forward to secure the Lazard while his teammates provided some cover.

Bob, once this thing is bound, I want you on prisoner duty. If any of them try anything funny, especially this Scott Summers one, feel free to knock it unconscious with extreme (unlethal) prejudice.

Jack swaps out for his shotgun, now that he has enough presents for the nerds back at the lab.

Reconnaissance Specialist | Callsign "Spectre"

"Good work guys. Deal with the rest of those lizards, I'll check out the other tunnels. Don't want to be taken from behind by these guys."

With Pete and Jack addressing the rest of the first wave of aliens, Mark turns to the other tunnels and looks for other approaching threats.

If I can, I move to each of the tunnel entrances and poke my head around to see if anything's coming. I want to stay in cover as much as possible so as not to get any bits of me shot off.

Awareness 47: 1d100 ⇒ 74

Female Human Paratrooper Medic

"I guess we're nabbing these two, and getting the hell out? For now at least?"

Awareness: 1d100 ⇒ 74 Per 37 with Awareness at +10. If anyone is approaching us from the rear, Anna and Jess apparently don't notice.

Even with ear protection we seriously wouldn't be shooting in a cave system without that...I mean...c'mon.., due to the alarms blaring and the shooting that She, Jess and the rest of her squad were performing, making out any distinct sounds was nigh-impossible for Anna at this very moment.

She really hoped that no Aliens were sneaking up on them.

Jess and Anna try to spot a Lizard from their vantage point, firing on them if they can see a Target. Anna firing Semi-Auto Burst

Pew Pew: 1d100 ⇒ 22
Hits with 4 Degrees of Success vs BS57 (37 + 10 for jess and her ammo + 10 range. I'm not including a Half-Action aim due to having used Awareness. If I can, then its +12 to my BS due to Aim+Stock.)

Male African American SWAT Close Quarters Weapon Specialist | " Diehard "

" Depends, assume the enemy can somewhat understand us so don't go into too much detail. Safe to say we know they landed here. I had hoped we would get a chance at further toys, but prisoners are fine too. "

Female Human Paratrooper Medic

IIRC, their guns didn't melt because the wielders aren't dead yet, right?

"Well, if we clear this little section out, we can always see if we can nab a Generator or something small."

Male African American SWAT Close Quarters Weapon Specialist | " Diehard "

" At this point I would be fine with Fragments of non-acidified alien allows or materials. Roger would be speaking of driving the ship. "

Spoiler:
1d100 ⇒ 101d10 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Pete rushes up to the last of the 4 lizards. It tries to shoot him, scoring a hit at point blank range dealing 7 damage with 4 pen. He can try to dodge as normal

Jack rushes to the tasered one, ready to secure it next turn.

Mark is distracted by all the noise.

Anna is watching and can hear the lizards moving but none of them are visible down the pathway yet.

Male African American SWAT Close Quarters Weapon Specialist | " Diehard "

Pete saw the shot coming but the suit was cumbersome. Electing instead to make himself a harder target as he approach.

"Good to know. We've got company arriving from behind us, however. So either we move further in and find better cover or head them off and get the jump on them on our way out."

With that, Anna noticing the sound and directing herself and Jess to turn around, try to take cover from whatever might be approaching them from behind and set up Overwatch fire for whatever might be on the way.

Overwatch = Tunnel the team just came in from, condition: Alien Crosses into line of sight.

Reconnaissance Specialist | Callsign "Spectre"

Mark moves up with Anna, looking deeper into the tunnel, waiting for more hostiles to appear. "Let's deal with these last few then get out of here," he calls over the squad comms. He aims his M4 down the darkened tunnel.

Jack's action is already accounted for, he's securing prisoner #2 with Bob

"You guys alright back there?"

Male African American SWAT Close Quarters Weapon Specialist | " Diehard "

" Yeah yeah, just getting the R&D good reviews on their work. Miss my blade though. "

The resounding blast of the gun making that very clear.

" Anything to report there? We are almost done "

Reconnaissance Specialist | Callsign "Spectre"

"Sounds like there's something moving out there, but we can't see anything. Once you're done we're gonna get out of here. Jack, are you ready to go with your prize?"

Male African American SWAT Close Quarters Weapon Specialist | " Diehard "

" Well thats not surprising, that's how the Lizards operate. Might have to spray and pray. "

Male Human Dude

Yeah, I'm ready to go with our two prizes. We can make a few corpses on the way out as well.

Spoiler:
1d100 ⇒ 851d100 ⇒ 691d100 ⇒ 121d100 ⇒ 57

Feed up with the lizard not wanting to die, Pete switches his weapon avoiding an attack as he does so. His shotgun blast leaves little left to deal with from the lizard.

As he does so, Anna realizes that the sounds of lizards moving behind the group is on about a 11 second loop of repeating sounds.

Jack has secured the second unconscious lizard and started moving back towards the two covering the rear of the team.

Female Human Paratrooper Medic

"Ok guys, bad news. Those hostiles coming from the rear? Pre-recorded loop. We might be in some real trouble now."

" Check any other entrances to here and keep your eyes peeled. If they can go invis like those lizards they might already be in here with us."

Awareness: 1d100 ⇒ 64 RNGESUS PLEASE Perception 38 with Awareness at +10

Anna will scan around the room hoping that, with the aid of her Photovisor, she'll be able to spot something out of the ordinary.

Reconnaissance Specialist | Callsign "Spectre"

"S*#~. They're smarter than I would have thought. Let's get moving. Pete, you're on point. Jack and Anna in the middle with our samples, I'll bring up the rear." Mark looks around to make sure the squad is ready. "Move quick but careful people, let's all get out of here in one piece."

As they move Mark switches frequency on his comms, and contacts Powerline. "Be advised that we are extracting at this time. We have two unconscious hostiles for transport, and we may have to extract under fire."

Female Human Paratrooper Medic

Anna grabs an unconscious alien, places it in a Fireman's Carry position over her shoulders but swaps her M16 out for her Revolver beforehand.

" Should be good to go on my end."
