At the comment from quartz about the food kon walks up and picks it up soul sees her and says
"no kon put that down now!"
Kon lowers it and points and quarts
"no I don't care what he said that is not food for you, now let's go or you won't get any more fruit from me."soul said
And at the kon throws the meat in anger and moves next to soul, and begins to trace her finger on the floor pouting. Soul then ask the group
"OK were to next?"

Sera nods after her allies loot the bodies of her hated foes. "I believe we should head onward with haste! If we can catch them off guard now, we can exterminate the vermin for good."
Yes, I am playing THAT kind of paladin.

Chaul nods, and takes position next to the door.
"I was perhaps too hasty. One should give even a goblin the chance of redemption."

"Yes." says Chaul, turning to look hard at Sera.
"Everything with free will has a chance at redemption. Though I've never heard of the walking dead taking it."

Just checking if anyone wants to heal before opening the door
After a short theologically discussion the party decides to open the next door
After checking the door for traps and finding it both untrapped and unlocked you open the door to reveal:
This curving room is a good-sized kitchen, complete with decaying tables, cupboards, and bins. One newer table has what seems like a child’s laboratory set up, with broken cups standing in for beakers.
In the middle of the room are a goblin wearing leather armor with a rather well made looking falchion at his hip and what looks like a wand who seems to be working on a sort of golem... It's pieced together from mostly green metal parts and has what looks like a dead human left arm.

Sera nods. "In your faith perhaps, yet my Code strictly forbids me offer my people's enemies mercy or surrender. Goblins are amongst the enemies of the dwarves, thus when I encounter them, they must be defeated. I would no sooner break that path than I would tell a lie to Torag himself. If you speak their tongue, you as an individual may offer them redemption, but do also mention that they will not see the same kindness from me."
Once the door opens, Sera points to the macabre lab as of to say 'you want to offer THAT redemption?'
Stepping inside can someone move me? Sera will thrust Goblinskewer with all her might at the goblin.

And the mention of the apples kon looks up and holds her hand out.
"no not now later OK and if your good you can have 3 how dose that sound?"
Kon dose a back flip and claps her hands

"ive always hated goblins..."

Soulveliss Sangre
|
Soul shakes his head hearing the conversation
"in the end it dose not mater, for right, wrong, good, bad it depends on who is standing in the moment...look at it this way if you believe that the only way to save your child from death is to end the life of someone else, to you that is the 'good' thing to do. On the same action the one that you just killed has a son as well and the only way to same his or her child is to kill you....now who is the 'good' one then?"
"that's why I say in the end it dose not matter it's all about personal perception right, wrong in the end is who is standing. For even the filthy goblins here we are the evil one killing them... "
Soul let's it hang in the air..

When it is clear she has harmed another goblin, Sera calmly turns back to Chaul as if the damger was over. "And therein lies another difficulty. How am I to offer redemption to these most hated foes if I cannot even offer them surrender? The Code is strict and does not align woth your philosophies. But I suppose if the gods wanted me to stay my weapon, I woild not be so successful in my strikes, nor would I still have the powers blessed to me by Torag."

"A code that doesn't allow surrender of an enemy is a code that will lead you to your destruction. I would argue it is also a corrupt code."
Says Chaul sternly.
"That way would you make ever more enemies. Nay, I understand all too well that mercy may be taken advantage of. It is a risk that many are not willing to take. But offering redemption..."
He points to the golem.
"No free will there."

Sera opens her eyes wide, obviously offended by the mention of a 'corrupt' code. "Neither goblins nor orcs shall be given opportunity for surrender. The holy warriors of my keep have kept the Paladin's Code alive for centuries! I will not pretend I am a dwarf by blood, but I shall defend the traditions all the same! As a priest your role is to spread the word of your god while as a templar, it is my role to follow the word of mine."
Still avoiding the goblin, she is not able to see that Chaul is pointimg at the golem when he says the words 'free will'. "Of course they have free will! Goblinkind has the choice to raid and murder. I am not saying that civilized beings cannot be given an oppertunity for redemption, but there is a line. Once a creature willingly and gleefully engages in acts so vile as murder, then there is no hope for redemption. The only choice left is to smite the evildoers into Oblivion."

Gunnar steps into the chamber and clammers the construct with his mighty hammer, but the impact seems to dent the metal a bit less then you'd expect from say..a human wearing plate mail. (it has DR2/adamatine)
The goblin says something
And then takes a step back and starts to cast a spell
After he finishes casting the spell a duplicate goblin steps out of his body and there are now 2 identical goblins very close to each other.
The construct slowly turns towards Sera, sparks leaking from the dent on it's body as it takes a step forward and raises it's metal arm.
Slam vs Sera AC: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 1 = 10
But it's too slow and Sera is easily able to side step the large chunk of metal which is roughly shaped like a hand coming for her skull.
Soulveliss then steps into the room and fires an arrow at the goblin, but the arrow is deflected by the golem standing between him and his target (misses due to cover) but then hit's one of the goblins standing behind the golem and it dissipates into thin air (but did take out his mirror image)

EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure with a reach weapon, the goblin provoked when casting the spell. It would have cover from the golem, but still, here it goes.
Poer Attack w/ cover: 1d20 + 6 - 1 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 6 - 1 - 4 = 15

Quartz moves up getting a bomb ready, he throws it at the construct only to have it bounce off the construct and land in front of his own feet
Actually rolling a 1 on the scatter die for a splash weapon means it falls short..so that means that the people needing to roll the reflex save for half damage are: The construct, Quartz and Gunnar and I think Chaul (I can't remember where he was located at the time the bomb was thrown). I've placed the red dot where I think the bomb would have landed. There are ways to alter where it lands on a scatter..but I don't Quartz has any of those does he?
Reflex save golem: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (17) + 0 = 17
@Sera I forgot about the reach, the goblin wouldn't have (and would have tried to cast on the defensive)..but since you didn't hit with the AOO it doesn't matter this time
Sera goes after the goblin once more but almost drops her weapon and needs some time to adjust her grip.
Chaul steps forward taking a swing at the goblin but Sera almost dropping her weapon on his toes distracts him a bit and he misses as well.
Gunnar closes with his mighty hammer in hand and tries to whack the construct once more with feeling but seeing his companions stumble around with their attacks makes him miss as well.
The goblin starts to take a defensive posture and cast a spell
Concentration check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
And points his finger at Chaul (DC 13 will save vs [emotion, fear, mind-affecting] spell. Or become frightened. If succeeds on a Will save, shaken for 1 round.
While the construct takes a swing at Chaul with it's metal arm, sparks running across it's entire body and a bit of smoke leaking from the holes in it's body.
to hit AC Chaul: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 1 = 27
to confirm: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 6 + 1 = 16

Gunnar whacks the construct once more this time with power
The construct whirls and wizzes and sparks leaps all across it's body as a bit of smoke rises out of the new hole Gunnar put in it's outer plating.
It raises it's arm and starts to drive it towards Chaul's midsection
To hit AC Chaul: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 1 = 12
but it stops midswing as it seems stuck and lightning erupts from it's entire body before it falls to the floor.
Electricity damage for everyone except Soulvilles (10ft burst): 1d10 ⇒ 1 DC 11 reflex save negates
Out of combat
The goblin had a (smallsized) leather armor, masterwork falchion and a wooden stick (which detect as having a magical aura when detect magic is cast).
The pieces of the construct could be sold in a larger city to an interested buyer for 75 gp, but might be worth it just for scrap metal parts as well...just for less profit.

"That was close" say Chaul as the lighting dances around his body.
reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Then he adds "Gather around while I open the gates of Heaven"
He reaches skywards with hands together and then slowly parts them, almost as if he were mimicing opening curtains.

Assessing his wounds Chaul then lays hands upon himself.

I think that with Chaul's channel it's not very relevant right now if Soulvellis made his reflex save or not, so moving on
@Quartz, you don't have detect magic do you? In order to identify the properties of a magical item you need detect magic (or the spell identify)
Quartz looks at the stick and tries to remember if he knows anything about sticks
Chaul heals everyone a bit..and then himself a bit more.

Everyone moves to open the next door, which when opened reveals:
This curving hall has been badly damaged, but there are intact doors to the every direction with a large double door leading to the core of the tower. One corner of the room has collapsed in a mound of green glass rubble, but a tunnel runs through the debris, shored up with rough timbers.
Chaul Drammarson

"What do you think this green is? Did it cover an already existing tower? Or has it formed the tower itself?"
He looks around. "Shall we try the middle room, or maybe secure the rest of the ground floor first?"
He advances into the corridor towards the door straight ahead. and on the map looks like it may meet up with A6
