Zac has just enough speed to get across the log with a double moveacrobatics: -1 + 1d20 ⇒ -1 + (14) = 13 numbers given include the armor penalty

Insidion charges forward like a creature possessed and enraged.

Now I'M in charge! SHOW NO MERCY!!!

He throws a javelin on his approach and taunts the Minotaur.

"Over here, ye walkin' heifer! Come meet the butcher!"

Free action: Rage! Move forward Standard: Throw javelin!

javelin attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 2 + 1 = 17 for damage: 1d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 1 = 10

Insidion tosses a javelin that digs deep into the minotaur's hip. As the creature howls in pain, Janira uses the opportunity to beat a full retreat into one of the thickets. And with it's original target disappearing into the brush, the beast turns it's full attention towards Insidion.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Swing and a miss! The party is up!

Dagnobar continues to make a double move.

The minotaur still needs to roll another reflex save or drop the axe, assuming that's what it swung with, each round it's used.

Grimbli urges Fluffy closer to the beast and casts another spell. A rainbow of color stretches across the distance between gnome, tiger, and minotaur, in an attempt to distract the latter.

Shaoshu attempts to carefully cross the log.

After crossing, he pauses for a moment, sucking in his breath at the immense minotaur that is swinging an axe that could surely fell any man it connected with.

"Blessed Old Woman, protect me against this beast..."

Shaoshu will then spend a standard action activating his Darkness Blessing, giving him Enshrouding Darkness, which grants him concealment against any creatures that do not possess the ability to see in supernatural darkness.

Minotaur's Ref. Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Minotaur's Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
As Grimbli's spell washes over the beast, it becomes stunned and drops it's axe.

Zac can finally reach the thing with a single move. attack: 4 + 1d20 ⇒ 4 + (18) = 22
damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Insidion steps toward the ferocious creature and attacks it with both his falchion and his toothy maw. He does not look himself.

Zac stabs the minotaur in it's side while Insidion slashes it across the chest, though his bite isn't powerful enough to penetrate the beast's hide. The Minotaur is unable to retaliate, however, as it is still stunned from Grimbli's spell. Meanwhile, Janira continues to make herself scarce while shouting words of encouragement at the team.
The party is up again!

Stepping into a flanking position, Insidion attempts to end the Minotaur's life.

Though he is unable to connect with his falchion, Insidion latches onto the minotaur's throat with his maw as he bears the creature to the ground, finally killing it.
Combat over!
As the dust begins to settle, you see a very bloodied Janira crawl out of the brush, dragging one foot behind her and clutchihng at her shoulder with her remaining good arm. Though she appears to be in great pain, she smiles as she approaches you and says Well done, initiates! I do beleive you've earned your place in the Society, if for no other reason than your timely rescue. Tell me though, what did you discover about the caverns below?"

"Well, since you asked..." Grimbli takes a deep breath and recounts what has happened with the group since they parted ways, but in reverse order, so that the explanation is punctuated with a number of "Oh, but you don't know about that yet..."s and "but before that"s. All in all, though, he tells the story of the pit (and how he saved the entire party from almost certainly falling to their deaths when he found the plank to cross it), the carvings (and how, even though he didn't personally determine their significance, he did help to encourage the others), the gillman and the miniature city (and how he alone was able to get the party to receive the blessings of the dead God Aroden), and the fallen dhampir, zombies, and skeletons (and how he and Fluffy were brave in the face of danger and his spells were imminently useful to slow their advance), bringing the whole thing to a close with how concerned he was for Janira's safety as she ran off to distract the very same minotaur he had just helped defeat, almost single-handedly.

Insidion snarls and circles the dead Minotaur repeatedly, unconcerned with the conversation. Eventually he seems to come to himself and wipes the gore from his mouth.

Janira sits and listens to Grimbli's story in full, taking healing potions from her backpack and using healing charges from her wand as she does so. At certain point, she interjects with a burst of enthusiasm, like "You actually spoke with a gillman!? Oh, how wonderful! What was he like?" and "You mean to tell me that there's a forgotten temple to Aroden inside the cavern!? That's...that's just...amazing!"
When Grimbli finishes the story, Janira stands and says "Congratulations, each and every one of you! You have each surpassed all expectations that were set for you when we first left Absolam. We must return later with a full team of scholars and cartoghraphers to catalog these findings! But for now, I beleive our work here is done. Let's return and report our findings to the Master of Scrolls. I'll help him file all the necassary paperwork to ensure that each of you is made a full member of the society."

Zac just everyone else do the talking, as socializing isn't his thing.

Shaoshu stands over the fallen form of the minotaur, leaning over and checking it for signs of vitals so that it doesn't suddenly spring back to life and start chopping at people.

Nodding, he closes the beast's eyes and listens with curiosity as Grimbli tells his tale and the Little Boss makes promises of membership with this new Society.

Dagnobar just scratches his beard. "Uh, okay. Wow, that didn't take much at all."
