Not sure if the idea is that they all get a different hand-out or not. Or if teamworking is the idea. And if so if splitting up is allowed or even encouraged.
Hmm, either way hello all.

Sorry if this is silly: should Rabbai be showing up in the "Characters" tab? he isn't at the moment. Let me know if there is something I should do to correct that. For now, I'll get on with posting in the Gameplay tab.

verified : )
as far as posting timing and ret-con and whatnot: I'm new to the format as well, but it seems like with a little creativity we can handle making the timing make sense to the narrative. the only issues happen when you're writing a post and someone puts up a new one before you hit submit (that's what happened to me). ample use of the "preview" button seems to be in order.

I agree I don't think it will be two hard. But since I asked a bunch of questions it seems odd to march forward and say "Let's head to the docks" before getting answers. For the rest back and for conversation should be as easy as texting! A good thing to since I am posting by phone.

Good point. I'd imagine the GM will do something like, "the captain says such-and-such and then the party heads towards the door" - sort of rewriting history using our actions as the things that happen after he answers the questions. but yea, i can see that being an issue if, say, the captain attacked us all with a fireball - were we already out the door? still talking? etc.

hahahaa awesome
btw, anyone know how to subscribe to email or other updates to the gameplay thread? I tried all sorts of stuff with the rss links at the top but not having any luck.

For the pace, keep a few things in mind:
1) You'll move as a team, and make important decisions as a team.
2) Try to keep actions in a chronological order, or the game will get confusing.
Once the group's made a decision I will move the group forward. There are times when I'll need some extra info to move you forward. Feel free to roleplay while waiting for me to post the next scene/event.
Also, I highly recommend the preview option to prevent getting ninja'd all the time.

Please all provide a line that looks like this where it lists "Race" in your profile: Female Human cleric/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:20 | T:13 | FF:17 | CMB: 3 | CMD:16 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+2 | Will:+5 | Init:+3 | Perc: +8 | Speed 20)
In game it'll appear below your name, which saves me some digging into profiles when I quickly need the info.

@Rabbai I have tried all the RSS stuff too . . . it only seems to push data once a day or so which wasn't what I was looking for either. I keep a tab open on my phone's browser and hit refresh whenever I have a slow moment. If I find something better I will be sure to share. I feel like there must be some sort of plug-in or agent or bot that could tell me when the board had an update.

@Oric as a "developing developer" maybe if i find some free time i'll see if i can write a little thing up that we could use. level up my real world character a little ;)

I am on eastern standard time but have a new born at home so may show up with a post from my phone at just about any hour :)
@Rabbai the main section of the forums have a few discussions about plug-ins that some folks made. I am not sure if any of them will be of useful reference. I didn't find anything already done. (BTW think Chrome or Safari :) )

yeah but i still think sending a scout a head makes sense . . . I would rather know that there was a formation of guards getting into position then randomly wander in an ambush.

It'd be sort of cool to run out onto the dock and let them chase us and then grapple them and push them off the edges into the water : )
But I'm happy to cut them in half also.

Hmm, I think I didn't realize it gets added on. I'll have to review that.
If the GM wants to take another HP off that rodent I wouldn't complain...
Yea you're tanking the heck out of these rats. I guess maybe next time we should give some more thought to "formation" on the way into an encounter. You can probably step out of that rat nest if you want

Here's an empty version of the Chronicle Sheet you will each receive when you've completed this scenario. As you can see when you view the sheet, you have to keep track of everything you've bought/sold. For new characters, this means absolutely everything since the moment you created your character. For characters that have been around some time, this means everything since the last time you wrote your purchases/sales on a Chronicle Sheet.
(When not in a scenario, you're also supposed to note purchases/sales on your most recent Chronicle Sheet.)
At the end of the scenario I'll fill out what I have to, but the bought/sold items section is your own responsibility. I advise for all of you to keep a list of what will have to be written in the bought/sold parts of the Chronicle Sheet. If you've downloaded the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play, there's a neat tracking sheet that you can use for this.

Keep in mind you can each use the loot you find, but all of it disappears after the adventure. You cannot sell loot you've just found and use the gold.
To prevent it from mixing up with your "real" items I'd advice putting whatever loot you carry with you in a separate part on your profile.
At the end of the scenario you will each receive a reward, and you will be able to purchase whatever you want from the items that are always available + those items listed on your Chronicle Sheet under "Items Found During This Scenario". (The items listed here can be purchased as many times you like, and remain available for purchase after you've received other Chronicle Sheets.)

@Party people: let's make a plan for this crate. I feel like the trap here might be walking on the planks breaks them and drops the crate. I think we should either:
1. Pull the boat under the warehouse and drop the crate in
2. Using two ropes, toss them around the crate tying them like a ribbon on a Christmas present and then attaching them to the hook and pulling it away from the hole with the lever.
3. Does anyone have any spells to either move stuff, locally freeze water, maybe create a temporary levitating pool for the crate to float in, anything else weird and creative?
4. Someone tread water under the hole and grab the crate if it falls
5. Other ideas?
It's like combat minus the monsters! :)

I am not sure how far above the water the crate is but it wouldn't have to be far to sink the ship in an uncontrolled drop. I agree walking over probably isn't a good idea. I like the idea of stringing the crate up with the crane. I will volunteer to get strung up to the crane to get over there and tie things up. I have rope.

@StephhNyan I knew there was a reason I felt we were high up.
@Rabbai I suggest you pick a plan and just start going. I figure it would be rude for me to do it twice in a row!

I can enlarge someone. Looks like the reach and carry capacity increase might help Broker to simply pick up the crate and walk off with it.
Just need a minute to mix some vials.
