Sure, my attack was garbage, but maybe the advantage will help others.
I realize now I was looking at the wrong numbers. Thought flanking would push you over the top. Not quite, but close. In general, every bit helps.
{1:"Rathor", 2:"Flyn", 3:"Adriana," 4:"Hangust"}[1d4 ⇒ 2]
The surrounded devil lashes out with a misshapen limb and claws at Flyn.
Lemure Attack!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Lemure Damage!: 1d4 ⇒ 1
The lemure in the trench stands up, steps over to the ladder, and looks at Rathor stupidly.
Rathor
|
Taking a step to the east, Rathor positions himself atop the ladder to block the foul creature from climbing up, if it ever figures out how. He takes his time as he lines up a shot with his bow.
Longbow attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 +1 for high ground
Longbow damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Finally, he draws his longsword to prepare himself for the creature's attempt. "Watch my back; I'll keep this one occupied."
Hangust
|
Hangust steps forward and launches an attack on the Lemure in front of him.
Kukri,MH (Raged): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 201d3 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Kukri,MH (Raged): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 161d3 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
7 rounds of Rage left today
| GMsui |
Hangust struggles to make a dent in the devil's roiling hide, but that dent suffices, and it falls with a loud thud.
Rathor is also annoyed to see that his arrow didn't strike as deep as hoped.
Anyone trained in Knowledge (Planes) might still consider rolling to identify on their turn if they haven't already done so.
| GMsui |
Adriana knows, but "[she] doesn't waste time with words." :P
Hangust finds nothing of interest save two glass vials atop the crate the two guards were using to play cards.
You two also alight upon the small glass vials on the card table.

Strictly speaking, unless I'm mistaken, I rolled enough to ID the creature, but not enough to learn specific knowledge on it. I assumed it was something like DC 10 to ID, and DC 15 to learn something specific. You can all assume that I tell you immediately if I learn something specific however, so you don't need to all hold your turn for me to wake up due to timezone differences or something

Yeah, I'm kinda fuzzy on that, so I was working off of the SRD there. Emphasis mine below.
A successful check allows you to remember a bit of useful information about that monster. For every 5 points by which your check result exceeds the DC, you recall another piece of useful information.
Hangust
|
Man, my reading comprehension, I thought you said those were empty for some reason.
E'li
|
Can someone move him. I'm on my phone. He wants to move far enough to chuck a stone at one.
1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 2 = 8
Hangust
|
Moved myself up as well since my previous move was intended to include a 5 foot step
| Puk Laughington |
can someone move Puk down too? I'm out of town posting from my phone.
know planes: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
"Wow they are ugly.." Puk says.
Puk will end his performance but with lingering performance the effect stays for the next 2 turns
| GMsui |
I guess there's no question that even by a stricter reading of the knowledge rules, Puk knows they have DR/Good or Silver. They are also mindless, with all the benefits and can-barely-climb-a-ladder penalties that implies. Finally, ye've been moved per your wishes, Puk.
I just signed up for PacCon, so I'd hope to have this done before then. If not, expect a long delay over labor-day weekend
Hangust
|
With Puk going doesn't that mean it's the Lemures movement now?
Flyn Rider
|
Flyn draws back his sword as he attempts to plunge it deep into the demons hide. "Man, their skin is thick" he says as his rapier meets tough resistance.
Rapier: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 121d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Adriana Korinne

Adriana's up, actually.
Can you do a round by round summary then, because we have like six characters + NPCs floating around in combat, people posting in and out of order, and its difficult to see who you are actually waiting on / who is up.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
Hangust

The one on the walkway is dead Flyn, you'd have to leap down to attack the living one.

Because we could all delay action if we wanted to, other than the first round of combat, it basically just became 1.Us 2. Them. So if the Lemures had gone, then you have an action, and who ever posted before you counts as having gone first in the action order. If we had enemies with separate initiatives it would be structured more like initiative at a physical table.
Hangust, still blind with rage, leaps after the remaining Lemure.
Acrobatics+Adaptable luck: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
DC 15 ignores first 10 dmg and converts the next 10ft to nonlethal
Non Lethal Fall Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
After landing Hangust turns on the fallen Lemure and attacks.
Kukri,MH (Raged): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 121d3 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
With a -4 to AC hopefully that hits. Hp: 8, Non-Lethal Dmg 3
6/Rounds of Rage left, 1 Use of Adaptable Luck left

Point still stands, its useful for sorting out the timing of buffs, who has gone, who hasn't, attack targeting and so on. Plus I imagine it only gets more complicated if we end up with enemies with different init. .
| GMsui |
I can see your point, Adriana. I just prefer these issues to the ones caused when you have to wait on one player at a time. One round can take as many days as there are players, then, but I will take under advisement the idea to include round summaries when enemy NPCs have finished their collective turn.
Rathor pushes the ladder over, and the devil crashes to the ground once more.
Falling damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Hangust's blade strikes true, but it is a shallow truth.
E'li, this would be a good time to check your blessings
Adriana, while the token appears adjacent on the map, it was midway up the ladder and thus not adjacent to you, as noted earlier. By the time you rolled your attack, Rathor had already overturned the ladder, so the Lemure is again on the floor of the trench. I think it's reasonable to allow you to hop down and try again, should you wish.
Flyn, as Hangust noted, that one was already dead, hence its being flipped 180 degrees. Try something else?
Summary: Lemure is on the ground adjacent to Hangust. All other PCs are 20 ft above on the walkway.
Adriana Korinne

You misunderstand, it looks like this
Round 3: X, Y, Z, Demons, Adriana, Hangust,
Round 4: X, Y, Z, Demons, Adriana, Hangust
You're not waiting on anyone, just showing where people stand. Maybe the system doesn't translate well in PFS, but iv seen it used to great effect in several campaigns that I'm involved in.
Anyway I'll just hop down and keep my own attack roll, since I didn't add any prior (higher ground) bonus to it.
I believe I get a +1 attack and damage roll boost due to Performance if its still up.
18 to hit, 12 damage.
Flyn Rider
|
"Mabye my arcane arts will have more effect against these creatures." Flyn says as he channels a small green orb to strike the Lemure on the ground below him.
Acid Splash: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 241d3 ⇒ 1Ranged Touch Attack
| GMsui |
Noted. I will try just that.
Adriana grabs hold of the ledge, drops down, and pushes off, bringing her blade crashing down onto the prone demon, felling it.
Flyn fires a gob of acid at the corpse. Even if the creature were still alive, it would have had no effect. Even the dead flesh is proofed against the acid.
{{Combat Over}}
Those on the walkway might be disappointed to discover that the far stairwell further down into the vault is blocked off by an iron portcullis. Those in the north trench note by smell and sight that the goods stored here are probably but the dregs remaining after the Devil's Claw mercenaries had already picked the vault clean of obvious valuables. Musty furs sit atop half-rotten chests scattered along the wall leading up to the walkway, with a particularly high pile of tattered tapestries and musty furs arranged in the north-western corner. Peering down the trench, Hangust and Adriana see a metal lever at the far end. Those atop can see two similar levers in the southern trench.
Hangust
|
Hangust seems to calm down as Adriana fells their remaining foe. Lazily he lifts the ladder back into place and then sits down with a yawn.
Whew! That was fun, aside from getting all clawed up anyway.
He looks up at Adriana and nods in the direction of the lever.
What d'ya suppose that's for? Should we pull it?
While waiting for an answer he looks around the trench to see if there may be anything else interesting, and inspects his wounds to make sure there's nothing too serious.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Rathor
|
While everyone is still in range, Rathor calls upon Erastil to mend their wounds. "We should search this room before continuing. How about those lever so?"
Channel positive energy: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Channel positive energy: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Anyone still severely wounded?
Hangust
|
Pretty sure I was the only one hit, and that gets me almost full. So we should be good, health wise.
E'li
|
E'li will call upon the favor of his patron and bless his sling and let one fly.
1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 1 + 2 = 12
1d6 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 2 + (6) = 9
Hangust
|
Since no one else wants to, I guess I'll do it.
Hangust wanders over to the lever in his trench and pulls it, hoping for something exciting to happen. Everyone else seems content to beat on the dead Lemures.
Rathor
|
Rathor crawls down the ladder and cracks his knuckles as he approaches the southeastern lever. He closes his eyes and mutters a prayer to Erastil. A second later, he begins to grow! When he reaches the size of an ogre, he reaches out with one enormous ham fist and yanks on the lever with all his might.
Using 1 round of Plant (growth) domain power.
Strength check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
E'li
|
The warpriest will attempt to aid another on whoever looks like they might get the levers to move.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Hangust
|
Hangust climbs back up to the landing and spies Flyn and E'li struggling with another lever. He rushes over to help out.
Strength aid another: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Rathor
|
"What are we missing? Is there some order to how the levers must be pulled? Some arrangement of which are and are not pulled? A missing fourth lever?" Rathor hollers from the trench. While he waits for an answer from someone on the other side, he looks around the south end of the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Adriana Korinne

Adriana thinks for a moment, reflecting where everyone is standing and the location of the other 3 levers, then heads to her corner, and kicks at the mats (or whatever they are), on the floor, moving them and checking to see if there is a 4th lever hidden there.
