Small:destructive attacks, mutilation
Big: paralyzing gaze, rend. I already gave the paralyzing gaze. Rend is pretty basic. If it hits with both claws it does extra damage. DR 10/cold iron and good; SR 27
Numair Salmalin
|
Not wanting to go anywhere near the big demon, Numair instead opts to dump a volley of force missiles into the 'top' small demon.
Magic Missile: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4, 4) + 3 = 14 Force damage.

Lets assume it was dismissed.
Auri Fort save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
If the gaze paralyzes us with fear, Auri is immune and gives +4 to those nearby. If it is just paralysis...well... she stands still.

"The big one is a shemhazian demon! We can't possibly defeat it without Ghalcor's weapon. I'll try to slow it down, while you focus on the little ones and install the prisms.
"Those are abrikandilu. Their bite carries a curse that disfigures you for days."
Thaeos conjures a noxious, green cloud between the gargantuan demon and Auriferous, blocking his gaze behind the mists. Wow! A shemhazian demon. I've read about them, but . . . wow. This is what being a Pathfinder is for!
I want as much cloud as possible between the demon and Auriferous, without actually putting her in the cloud. I'm not sure how high up the demon is though, so don't know exactly where to center the cloud.
Irizati Grunyar
|
I now notice that only Irizati was D-Doored. Last round he would have called for Baloo to join him. So instead of the attacks he couldn't make Baloo would have double moved up the stairs. I'm assuming the stairs are hindering terrain.
| GM Z..D.. |
@Auri, no it is not considered a fear affect. @ Izirati, correct, stairs are difficult.
Irizati tears into the demon, as doodle lets loose a set of missiles at the demon. Theaos summons a green cloud that engulfs the demon. Obstructing its vision and temporarily disabling its gaze attack.
As the battle intensifies, a familiar face emerges from the halls and enter the southern door. It is Ollystar and two of her crusaders.

Standard Action
He triggers the weapon when someone else is ready. Readied action to trigger it with someone else, or just go ahead and do it if Auri decides to help trigger the weapon.
| GM Z..D.. |
@ Theo, after loading the crystals it takes some one a full round action to prepare the weapon to fire, then comes the two standards. I am guessing that Irizati can perform the full round action in dino form. That would be awesome to see.
Theodore~
|
Sure, then it'll be a readied waiting for Irizati to "prepare" the weapon.
Irizati Grunyar

Luckily Irizati is fairly bright but you'll still have to explain what he needs to do. I'll be out most of the day so will post my next actions now.
While Irizati uses talons to delicately manipulate a device he doesn't understand Baloo continues to try and remove the enemy standing between him and his master.

| GM Z..D.. |
Irizati, Using the controls requires no special training, though a PC can operate the controls with finesse and a successful DC 15 Intelligence check or DC 20 Use Magic Device check to coax greater performance out of the weapon. So you don't have to know anything. With as many charges as you all got, should not be a problem with the performance.

As far as I can tell, we are waiting for Auri to declare move action to insert the last prism, then ready to activate it (standard) with Theo, once Irizati primes the machine. @ Auri, you just have to use a standard action to turn the key. Theo has already readied an action to turn his when you turn your, thus activating it.

Ollysta drops her shield and takes knee, leaning on her longsword. She calls the group over to her.
“Since the attack on the Starrise Spire several months ago, the Pathfinder Society has been working tirelessly to assist the people of Nerosyan. While performing rescue missions, diplomatic assignments, and stealth operations, you Pathfinders have shouldered great responsibilities and realized even greater goals. I applaud all of you for your tireless pursuit in fighting for what is right. In this time of need, it is good to see a team such as yourselves work together to complete what was thought impossible.
