Thordak is simply taken aback at the level of horror that has gone on here. "You may have to consecrate it twice, lad," he says to Tomaru. "This is beyond anythin' I've ever seen." He takes a look around just to make sure there is not someone - or 'something' - still alive in here.

There is nothing of value in the room. The thought of where -who - those skins came from is a sobering one. The skinned face now looks back at you in a forlorn manner, hoping for a rescue that never came...

Those of you who were sickened from the smell upstairs feel the effects wearing off...

OK - checking the door across the hall.

Kellen:

OGGM: out of play context question. Are the double doors shown on the map on the west wall visible? Or is that something else? Just want to make sure; otherwise I will follow Rhianni's suggestion and go back to check the single door in the hallway. Thanks!

What you see is what you get. There are double doors in the junk room as well as a door at the end of the hall.

I just took it that, with Rhianni's focus on magical auras, she didn't really notice the double doors. She doesn't really want to go into the room, or any other place here unless she has to.

Let's do it then

As the doors begin to open, they are suddenly slammed out wide when two giant tentacles lash outward toward Kellen. The tentacles wrap around the rogue, lacerating his flesh. 16 points Kellen, make a Fort save; and you are grabbed. While you watch in horror, the tentacles yank Kellen into the room.

Round 1: (A)Rhianni, Lym, Thordak; tentacled horror; (B)Kellen, Praxim.

This damp, steamy room reeks of rotting vegetable matter. Pools of mud and stagnant water dot the mossy floor, and the walls are caked with thick swaths of puffy fungus and mold.

Rhianni shocked by the sudden appearance of the tentacles, points her finger at Kellen, "fac ut anguillae lubricum" as Kellen is covered in a dark coloured liquid. Then Rhianni moves back, to let the fighters have easier access to the terror beyond the door.

If Rhianni can identify the creature, she will ... Knowledge ?
Casts grease on Kellen
Moves back from the door.

Grease:

Caster Level 6
School conjuration (creation); Level bard 1, sorcerer/wizard 1
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (butter)
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one object or 10-ft. square
Duration 1 min./level (D)
Save see text; SR no

A grease spell covers a solid surface with a layer of slippery grease. Any creature in the area when the spell is cast must make a successful Reflex save or fall. A creature can walk within or through the area of grease at half normal speed with a DC 10 Acrobatics check. Failure means it can't move that round (and must then make a Reflex save or fall), while failure by 5 or more means it falls (see the Acrobatics skill for details). Creatures that do not move on their turn do not need to make this check and are not considered flat-footed.

The spell can also be used to create a greasy coating on an item. Material objects not in use are always affected by this spell, while an object wielded or employed by a creature requires its bearer to make a Reflex saving throw to avoid the effect. If the initial saving throw fails, the creature immediately drops the item. A saving throw must be made in each round that the creature attempts to pick up or use the greased item. A creature wearing greased armor or clothing gains a +10 circumstance bonus on Escape Artist checks and combat maneuver checks made to escape a grapple, and to their CMD to avoid being grappled.

Sorry! Was trying to help with math homework and do this at the same time. Fit in group A.

The creature roars in pain as Lym's missile's hit it. Tomaru's spell also has an effect, albeit a slight one.

Kellen feels his limbs cease to answer his commands. Even breathing is a labor as muscles freeze up. Then, with one tentacle, the monstrosity opens its fibrous maw and stuffs Kellen inside. With the other, it slams the door closed.

Thordak still goes prior to creature, so he may be in the room with it. It is Huge, fyi, with reach. Its tentacles are currently occupied with its meal...err...Kellen.

"Hurry! Break the door down!" Lym shouts.

As soon as someone does and she has line of sight on the creature again, Lym hits it with another barrage of magic missiles - her last offensive spell for the day...!

"Rhianni, use the wand!" she calls to the beautiful Sorceress. "The necromantic one! Wither its life!"
