Salt Spire Map - Iron | Steel

Tassidar climbs onto the elk's back and urges him closer; the elk has no trouble eating up the ground between them.

You can easily get next to Mav. Let me know if the spot I moved you to on the map is not where you want to be.

Meanwhile...

Rikka finally pulls free of the acid with Halla's help. She pants as she wipes the last of it off, hissing at the pain. "Thank you," she says sincerely to Halla. "Not sure I'd have gotten free of it without you."

She shakes out her hands, ready to rain down seidr-death next.

There's a roar from up at the cliff-top and the blue wyrm turns around, staring down at the little figures below with death in its eyes. It spreads its wings, clearly ready to rejoin the fight!

The lizard-men that had tried to ambush Klo just attack him instead, swinging crude clubs and snapping at him with their teeth and their claws! Despite a barrage of attacks, the hardness of Klo's skin repels their blows and not a single one lands.

Salt Spire Map - Iron | Steel

Klo's kleaver slashes through the nearest lizard-person, the one he'd already injured, and the lizard shrieks and drops to the ground, clutching at a jagged wound that spreads black blood into the snow.

Halla wastes no time in re-arming herself!

Mav wrinkles her nose as one of the lizard-men steps close enough that she can catch a whiff from him, but she doesn't appear to succumb to it. Instead, she points at that particular lizard-person, smiling with her teeth very white in the dusk of her face. The creature's eyes dilate and Klo sees its forked tongue parting its lips in apprehension.

The bone-wearing leader hisses down at Baletooth, trying to step back to get a clean swing at the little rat. This gives the rat an opening for an attack, which he takes! This time the captain's sword pierces scales. "HAHAHA!" cackles the rat in triumph.

The bone-wearer growls and strikes again at Baletooth, but does not connect. Baletoth scampers along, staying under the lizard-man's feet.

Lydd holds her breath, having heard Klo's advice, then runs to again try and stand between Mav and Danger. From there, she looses an arrow at one of Klo's new friends. Despite the falling snow, her arrow finds its mark in the one with a green armband.

Bad guys are bad guys, Klo. :P If you'd closed with the bone-leader, you'd just have had to deal with these guys surrounding you and flanking with him, so....

Also, sorry for my slowness, guys. This week has just been impossible to find my GMing mojo in for some reason. Hopefully posting will help kick it.

Neither of Knute's arrows strike the bone-wearing lizard-man. The drifting snow and wind makes the arrows fly less than true, and the bones draped all over the lizard-man seem to serve as a sort of armor. He sneers at Knute's shots.

The grasshopper man runs a few steps over the snow, then nimbly vaults up and twenty feet into the snow-covered limbs of the tree just north of Klo-- where he disappears from sight among the branches, with supernatural swiftness.

Baletooth strikes with his 'sword' at the bone-wearing leader's shins, once more. Unfortunately, this time he does not connect.

The elf wizard looks over the battlefield. Lydd was providing fire support to Klo and it did appear that the lizardman fighting Baletooth was some sort of shaman. His mind made up, Tassidar casts Magic Missile at the bone wearing beast fighting the tiny pirate.

A bolt of energy leaves long Elven fingers to streak unerringly towards its scaly target.

As Tellignos isn't moving about right this second, Tassidar has no difficulty concentrating to cast a spell. The arcane energy streaks unerringly through the snow, not affected as mere arrows are by inclement weather. With a sizzling noise, the magic hits. The bone-adorned lizardman hisses in Tassidar's direction, briefly flashing teeth at him before returning attention to the pest at his feet.

Rikka follows suit with a similar spell-- though she aims hers at the drake that is getting ready to wheel around again. She really disliked being stuck in all that damned acid. Two streaks of light fly from her hands to rip into the wounded dragon and further injure it.

Nevertheless the dragon wings its way back down, this time beelining for Mav, as the recent source of most of its woes. It belches forth another ball of sticky slime, this time at her and those near her. Acid coats Mav, Tellignos, and Tassidar! The elk and the lady elf both seem to take the full brunt of it.

One of the lizardmen is in the grips of some sort of seidr, which Mav inflicted on it a few seconds ago. It turns to run from Klo, dropping its guard in the process. The other two step in to attack Klo, but despite their furious club-swings and clawing swipes, they don't manage to connect.

Klo takes a shot at the fleeing lizard-man but his kleaver misses. He can't see anything of where the grasshopper man might be in his frantic glance upward into the trees. He does at least have the satisfaction of feeling his kleaver smash heavily into one of his current foes, nearly dropping it. Klo then adjusts his position-- but unfortunately, one of the two lizardman's club catches him this time, knocking the wind from him. 3 Damage, Klo

A few seconds later, Halla sends an excellently-aimed shot up into the snow-filled sky, where it punctures a neat hole through the blue drake's wing and earns a shriek of pain from the beast in answer. The beast looks very badly wounded.

The acid writhing Mav and Tellignos burns and sizzles, but Mav seems to barely notice it. Nor is she bothering to hold her breath-- she coughs slightly at the stink, but doesn't seem very bothered by it as she casts another spell, her dusky hands weaving in a dance.

"Poor little lizard-man. What do you find funny, I wonder...?" she murmurs, and points at one of Klo's two foes. It appears to have no effect, and Mav's lovely face draws tight in annoyance.

The bone-bedecked lizard-man leader continues to swing wildly at Baletooth, but so far has little luck as the rat uses the creature's own legs for cover.

Lydd takes advantage of the set-up Klo gave her to send an arrow into the one he just hit. The lizard-man drops with a gurgle, the arrow sticking neatly from its throat.

Knute's second arrow finds its home! The drake shrieks and plummets to the ground with Knute's arrow jutting from its sinewy blue chest. A puff of snow goes up from its body where it lands. Lydd lets out a harsh cry of triumph.

Before there can be too much rejoicing over that, Klo's fears are realized as the grotesque leaping figure bounds from the concealment of the tree in order to slash at his shoulders as it lands next to him. The blade finds a weak spot in Klo's armor and bites deep. 6 more damage, Klo

Despite the fresh pain, Klo may take some joy from witnessing Baletooth is not only holding his own against the bone-wearing lizard-man leader-- in fact, the tiny rodent manages to leap up and slash at the lizard's inner thigh... and apparently finds a weak spot, as dark blood jets out onto the snow, and the leader falls to the ground, weakly snarling!

Baletooth laughs and dances on the creature's body, waving his bloodied knife in mid-air.

Tellignos has trouble with the caustic acid, snorting and whuffling as he feels its burn settling in and can't tear himself loose. "What would you have me do?" he rumbles urgently at Tassidar.

Klo's pain manifests as fury. He wheels on the nasty, sneaking creature and... obliterates it. His cleaver goes in at one shoulder and buries itself four inches into the creature's body before Klo wrenches it free in a a burst of gore. Thaaaaat's gonna leave a mark.

Mav smiles brightly at Klo over the snowy ground between them, and claps her indigo hands together in delight. "Oh! That was lovely. Very good!" Mav manages to slip free of the acid with only a little more burning, and wriggles her fingers, gazing towards the last troglodyte near Klo. "You're alone," she says pleasantly.

Tassidar pulls a scroll from the tube at his belt and casts magic missile at the fleeing shaman still being harried by the brave rodent.

"Dolibix!"

magic missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

As the scroll crumbles away, the elf wizard speaks to his mount.

"I am glad you are free friend. Once you are recovered, what do you say we have a go at the chap bothering Klo?"

Salt Spire Map - Iron | Steel

"That sounds like an excellent idea," Tellignos accedes with duck of his big head. To clarify, the shaman is down; the remaining foes appear to be run of the mill trogs.

Tassidar's magic strikes the fleeing lizardman right between in the shoulderblades. He staggers, but doesn't drop.

"Good idea," Rikka says grimly in regards to spell that Tassidar cast. She runs a few feet in the snow and casts a very similar one, two bursts of light streaking forward to catch the runner. He drops on the stairs, his skin smoking from the combined seidr of Tassidar and Rikka.

The last trog looks around, realizes how far the odds have turned against him, and gives a last, defiant swing at Klo before running for it.

Vs Klo: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Club damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Luck of a sort was with him-- he manages to hit, dealing yet more pain to the big man.. but not enough to bring him to his knees. Klo has the chance to repay it.

Klo and Halla, you're up! Klo, you also get an AOO on him as he moved away from you. Just green left.

Aw, I gave you a good workout, Klo. ;)

The sounds of battle ease abruptly as the last enemy falls. Klo isn't far behind, the big man's many injuries pulsing hot blood into the chill air.

Mav picks her way out of the last of the caustic acid. She gives Klo a curious, mild glance, as if finding his behavior slightly unusual, and then lifts the hem of her gown delicately and moves through the snow towards the body of the blue-scaled drake, humming softly to herself.

Lydd is more vocal. She looks around, sees the enemy is all neutralized, and throws back her head and... howls, for lack of a better word. It's a ululating, fierce noise, a challenge to anything else that might be lurking. When she lowers her head again, she is grinning.

"Well done! It was good to fight with you, world-born." She runs through the snow to Klo-- or rather, to the bodies next to him. Giving only a casual glance at the big man's own severe injuries, Lydd draws a foot-long knife and begins enthusiastically insuring that each of the fallen lizard-men are actually dead-- cutting their throats with a certain vigor for the grisly task.

Mav calls something to her in the fey tongue, earning a quick nod from Lydd.

Sylvan:
"Lydd, my dear, when you are done with that I want some of this hide...?"

Rikka picks her way forward, side-eyeing the two elves somewhat. "I wonder if your cat's coming back, Klo," she says, deadpan.

Baletooth is currently trying to get the bone armor off the lizard shaman. It's a difficult task when you're a foot tall.

(Will give Halla a chance to chime in re: Klo)

Without looking up from where he bleeds into the snow, Kló utters response in the Old Tongue.

Sylvan:
"Two of ours have claim to that hide, also, Mav."

Then he coughs, spits even more blood into the snow, then—with great effort—heaves himself back upright to look over at Rikka with a tired shrug. "He will ... or he won't." But his dark eyes cast about for the cat, hoping for its return.

Then he looks towards the wall, where the foes tried to retreat. "Did any of the blue wyrm's servants make escape?"

And get in the way of Tassidar and his bandages? I wouldn't dream of interfering. :P

In the sudden reprieve after the battle has ended, Halla edges up the path toward the downed linnorm-thing, eying it with both curiosity and wariness, lest it only be playing dead. Mav's unconcerned approach reassures her enough that her knuckles gripping the crossbow in readiness grow less white. The blue scales glisten against the blood-stained snow. Ingrid Alfsdóttir, if you could see this....

Halla would like to keep a single scale for Ingrid ... from someplace on the edges where it won't interfere with Kló's breastplate, of course. ;)

Knute's eyebrows raise at Klo's quick, violent pursuit, then fall. "Oh, he mutters, stumbling forward through the snow towards the big man. He slides his backpack off of his shoulder and pulls the orcish healing potion out. He hands it to Klo and says, "It tastes like offal, but this should stitch you back up." Taking in the scale of his wounds, Knute adds, "well, at least partly..."

Offering the infernal healing potion to Klo, removed it from Knute's inventory

Salt Spire Map - Iron | Steel

Mav waves a dusk-skinned hand at Klo in mild acknowledgment of his words.

"I am sure there is enough to go around, warrior."

Lydd spares Klo a brief grin as she goes from body to body. She stops at the nearest one and crouches-- despite the bulge of her pregnant belly-- and hacks at the scaled chest with her blade. "It was Knute's arrow that felled it," she smiles at that fact, "and it was Mav's will that kept it off us all for a time. Do not fear. We will share in the glory of the kills."

The sound of cracking ribs comes from under her hands and blade, and she reaches into the lizard-man's chest and pulls out its heart, dripping blue-tinged blood onto the snow. Lydd beams at Klo and thrusts it at him. "And in the meat, yes? Take. Feast."

Mav has a knife of her own in hand, near the drake. She arches her brows at Halla's approach but makes no objection to any scale harvesting; Mav is looking at the head at the moment, one hand resting on the long reptilian skull. (You can get a drake scale, Halla)

Baletooth is still over with the lizard leader's corpse, but seems to have given up on the armor and is now rummaging through the lizard-man's other possessions.

"None escaped, Lydd adds on, to answer Klo's question, as she holds out the steaming heart. "At least, none that I saw."

Somehow I doubt that would be as valuable as actual healing.

”Any help is welcome,” Kló grunts as he takes the offered potion, upending it quickly. The warmth of the vile ork’seiðr spreads quickly, closing wounds. "Thank you, Iversson."

That’ll put Kló at 10/25 after 1 minute.

Tassidar's rides over to the men. His large eyes watch the other elves with interest.

What has happened to cause this feral change in my people?

A slight smile touches his lips as Klo quaffs his medicine.

"Well, Knute's potion will do far more for you than my gauze Fisher. Can I offer you a drink however? That potion leaves quite a taste. Three against one, thankfully you're handy with that fish chopper."

He then slaps Knute on the shoulder.

Knute dips his head in response to Klo's thanks. "No, I should thank you; you kept most of them off of us, and felled many besides. That was a brutal strike on the grasshopper man." Knute turns away from Lydd offering the heart to Klo, suddenly reminded of how foreign the elves are. And yet, not so distant...

Tassidar's slap shakes him out of his thoughts, and he smiles, "Thank you, Tassidar! It was truly a team effort, though; I only placed one shot." Glancing at the fallen drake, he grins more broadly, looking proud. "Still, I might claim a scale or fang, to show to my mother and Halvar when we get home." He stubbornly refuses the thought that he may not return home.

"Go and fetch the others," Mav instructs Lydd, with a wave of her hand back to where they left the other elves and mounts. "I am learning things, here. It will take a few minutes."

Lydd nods-- her hands still full of a steaming heart, black blood dripping from it to fall into the snow. She turns and lopes off back down the road.

Baletooth cries out in the Taldane tongue, "A little help with this big blighter's booty? It's too bulky for one rat to handle, however brave he may be..!" His arms are piled high with things he's taken from the dead shaman's corpse, but he's having trouble moving under the pile of the loot he's trying to claim for himself.

Rikka nods gratefully at Halla's words. "Yes-- it seared right through my clothing and burned worse than fire. Knute was caught in the same blast. If you have any ointments or prayers that will help, I'll take them gratefully..."

Looking around the battle scene, you manage to gather several things from the slain lizard warriors. There are four stout wooden clubs, and ten short javelins made with fire-hardened wooden points-- primitive, but effective enough if they find their target. Their leader carried better goods: the large axe by his corpse is not primitive stone-and-wood, but well-made steel-- dwarvish make, perhaps, as it wouldn't be out of place among the dwarven goods traded in Hofn. The armor his corpse yet wears is made of hundreds of small pieces of bone-- polished flat and white into little disks, that are wired and riveted together. It seems like it would be a fragile enough affair, falling apart at the first solid blow, but any who handle it find it to be fairly resilient. The bone fragments are impossible to identify as being from a specific creature-- they might have come from shoulder-blades, hips, or skulls, originally, but whatever their original source they've been shaped and chipped down into indeterminate segments. Blue circles and symbols decorate most of the larger pieces. The armor is heavy but solid.

Aside from that, Baletooth's pile of loot next to the shaman corpse includes a necklace of teeth, the largest of which is carved into a representation of a linnorm; a copper flask bound and plugged, four carefully-rolled pieces of snakeskin-or-something-like it, on which spidery-thin writing can be discerned, and two long, thin pieces of carved bone, each about ten inches long and no thicker around than a man's middle finger. They are scratched thick with crude carving, and study reveals them to be magical, as is the armor, the linnorm-amulet, the flask, and the pieces of snakeskin.

Finally, the grasshopper man had his cruel wee dagger-- which seems to have grown somewhat, now that it's no longer in his tiny, bloody hands. He had a number of rings as well, and coins on his small body, from a dozen different kingdoms and lands.

Since Tassidar and Mav both have a high enough Spellcraft to take 10 on everything, no need roll ID checks. Here's a list of what you've found, which I'll add to the loot tracker shortly:

4 clubs
10 javelins
1 masterwork greataxe
1 masterwork cold iron dagger
+1 bone scale mail, unholy reliquary of Ragadahn (non-metal armor. The unholy reliquary has no mechanical drawbacks or penalties, but the wearer is wearing an unholy symbol, basically)
wand with 24 charges of cure light wounds
wand with 37 charges of endure elements
scroll of magic weapon (the scrolls are all divine scrolls)
scroll of remove fear
scroll of read weather
scroll of obscuring mist
elixir of fire breath
eye of the wyrm (functions mechanically as an eye of the mantis, but depicts a tiny linnorm instead)
400 value GP in coins, jewelry, etc

Feel free to handle explanation of items in character, otherwise I'll assume Mav can NPC-explain what the items are and what they do. I'll add more later today with Lydd and the others coming back (and Hunts, once she untucks her tail from between her legs), but feel free to post before then.

HP 35/39 | AC 16 CMD 17 | Fort +7 Reflex +1 Will +5 | Perception +7 Initiative +1

You mentioned a rings on the grasshopper man. Those are just fluff, being from different lands?

Kló lets the chance to partake in Lydd’s ritual the heart pass. As the elven huntress walks away, he gives Lydd, Mav, and Halla each a look before making his way over to where the group sorts through the spoils of combat.

Pulling the grasshopper man’s knife from the pile, he wipes his own blood from it, then looks to the team. ”This could be useful.” He holds it out in case someone else thinks it’s better used in their hands—including Baletooth (since we've seen it can resize). If no one takes it, he hooks it onto his belt.

Once the healing wand is identified, Kló makes sure everyone is treated, human and elf.
Wand of CLW, x2 charges: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (5, 8) + 2 = 15

As the healing effort is in progress, he stoops for a closer look at the lizard-shaman’s bone armor that Baletooth struggled to bring over. ”This bone-and-scale,” he calls out to the elves, ”it could be useful. Does it bode ill in these lands to keep it? We have a hard task ahead, and I can’t easily give up boons … even found on our enemies.”

Loot thoughts:
4 clubs — worthless, leave

10 javelins — Kló might claim a few
1 masterwork greataxe — Someone want this? If not, Kló will hold onto it. Good option until I find something better. At the very least, we can sell it for an upgrade for someone

1 masterwork cold iron dagger — Any melee’er. Someone want it?
+1 bone scale mail, unholy reliquary of Ragadahn (non-metal armor. The unholy reliquary has no mechanical drawbacks or penalties, but the wearer is wearing an unholy symbol, basically) — At the risk of painting a big crosshair on my back, it’s a good upgrade for Kló

wand with 24 charges of cure light wounds

wand with 37 charges of endure elements

scroll of magic weapon (the scrolls are all divine scrolls) — Knute? Might help him punch through DR at range
scroll of remove fear
scroll of read weather
scroll of obscuring mist
elixir of fire breath
eye of the wyrm (functions mechanically as an eye of the mantis, but depicts a tiny linnorm instead)

400 value GP in coins, jewelry, etc

Finally, he stands up, still trying to work the lingering pain from his body as he walks towards the drake’s body. ”Have we seen Hunts-In-Shadows? I won’t have him dying to our enemies dark seidr.”

Do we need to find him? Or will he return? Kló isn’t going to abandon the cat. If necessary…
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Survival, to follow his tracks, if necessary: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Once more he stoops over the drake, studying it curiously as he waits for its slayers to take their rightful prizes. When they are all finished, Kló continues studying it for a few minutes, at the end of which he lowers his head, muttering old words of old rituals. Then, he begins the work of claiming its hide.

Whatever skill check is necessary to skin its hide for future use as a dragonhide breastplate, Kló will take 20 (if it’s necessary).

HP 35/39 | AC 16 CMD 17 | Fort +7 Reflex +1 Will +5 | Perception +7 Initiative +1

I didn’t want to post this all in one mega-post, as this one is more conversational and possibly plot-centric.

As the post-fight work is being done, Kló can’t help but wonder at its occurrence at all. He looks over at Mav. ”How did they know to ambush us here? By all accounts, we should have been on the trail of the orks … the other way.”

Just seeing if they’re forth-coming in their answer
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 .. or not.

Halla tends to both Knute and Rikka's wounds. clw Knute 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 Rikka 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 2 spells left; how badly hurt is Rikka still, GM?

She evinces no expectation that she should share in the spoils, but she tentatively approaches Kló as he begins to flay the fallen linnorm-thing. "If there is enough... do you think I might have one of the scales? For Ingrid ... one of the children ... if we find her."

HP 35/39 | AC 16 CMD 17 | Fort +7 Reflex +1 Will +5 | Perception +7 Initiative +1

Out of curiosity, Halla, why not continue to use the Wand at this point?

Kló pauses in his work, duck-walking to the side to make room for Halla. ”You’ve got as much a claim on this as I do. Take what you wish. I’ll help.”

He goes about helping her—or not, as she prefers—in slicing out her chosen scales, then goes back to dressing the rest.

Knute lets out a breath of relief as Halla's spell washes him in healing energy. "I feel much better; thank you, Halla." He follows her over to where Klo is skinning the beast. "Need help? I've never skinned a drake before, but it can't be too different from an elk." He grins at the ridiculousness of it all. "I might take a scale or a fang as well," Knute adds. If Klo needs help on the skinning check, or if Knute can make it go faster, he will (rolling Prof: Hunter if need be)

When the ranger's eyes alight on the tiny statue of a linnorm, he picks it up quizzically. "This looks interesting..." Knute mutters. If someone explains what it does, he'll be even more interested. A scout for the scout? Yes please!

Other loot stuff:

Knute will take the cold iron dagger if no one else is interested, though it could just as well go to Baletooth, Halla, or Tassidar, since Baletooth would get more use out of it than Knute, and the spellcasters might want alternatives to spells for close range anyways.
The scroll of magic weapon could definitely be useful, but Knute doesn't have a caster level yet, so I don't think he can cast it without making a check... Probably better for Klo/Tassidar, unless Klo is planning on wildshaping more than fighting with weapons.
Knute would appreciate the elixir of fire breath, but I could totally see Klo taking it so he has a ranged weapon that doesn't rely on dex.
Don't forget that Knute gave Klo the cold iron falchion he picked up off of an ork, if Klo's looking for a 2h weapon. That said, no one else would get much use out of the battleaxe, probably.
Also, Knute's fine with just splitting the cash-loot equally (after the elves take their cut, of course)

Salt Spire Map - Iron | Steel

Mav glances at the armor that Klo enquires about, and wrinkles her nose. "To wear the symbol of the Wyrm about.... it is your choice, if so. I would ask you not wear it inside the bounds of our home, where you will be a guest. Perhaps the images of the Wyrm could be stripped from the bone. Rys might know a way."

As Klo and Knute bend to the harvesting of the hide, there's a sheepish throat-clearing, and a glance over the shoulders reveals Hunts-in-Shadows to be slinking back into view, tail tucked between her legs. She sits down in the snow and starts deliberately licking at a paw and refusing to make eye contact with anyone, in much the same fashion as a housecat that suffered an embarrassing trip, or the like.

Mav still rests one dusky hand on the wyrm's skull, but she nods slowly at Klo's question as to how they might have been found. "It is possible," she murmurs, "that they merely thought to strike at us-- my companions and I-- as servants of the Mother... but I do not think it is the truth. I think that the servants of the Wyrm may observe you also, and struck to hamper us both. As for how: there are many ways to spy. If you were observed at market, creatures who serve the Wyrm may have taken note of you. The market itself is neutral ground: everywhere else, there is no guarantee of safety."

Working together, Knute and Klo begin to skin off the best and most-intact section of blue scaled hide. Mav still has her hand resting on the skull, and doesn't move even when the snow around the drake grows bloody, but she arches an interested brow at the little linnorm trinket.

"Ah, a little scouting eye of magic. Perhaps that answers a question, indeed: maybe they spied on you, or us, with this. It would have been difficult to notice."

At this point, Lydd returns with Bo, Bim, Glorn, and the other elves and their mounts. (Lydd is no longer holding the heart she walked off with.)

"Mav, we will not likely reach the tree by dusk tonight," Lydd says as she joins in on the skinning in a matter-of-fact fashion. She speaks in the Skald tongue as a courtesy. "We did not get on the road until past mid-day, and if it continues as winter, sunset will come sooner. Perhaps two hours of light are left to us."

"This is true," Mav says, unruffled. "Do you think we should seek a camping place soon then?"

"Let us see what is at the top of this cliff," Lydd answers with a little wave of her knife upward. "From there it will be an easier call."

"I defer to you in this," Mav responds with a wave of one dusky hand, finally moving away from the wyrm's skull, which seems shriveled and color-leached now that she is done with. "Take the heart, please. It will make a good stew."

The flensing of the best pieces of drake hide are accomplished as swiftly as can be, between Klo, Knute, and Lydd. Lydd further carves off some chunks of meat from the drake, and, as Mav requested, hacks into the ribcage to retrieve the heart of the wyrm, as big as a man's head. Tellignos watches this all with distaste, while Hunts looks on hungrily. Souvenir scales are selected and acquired for those who want them.

"Is there anything else you wish to do, before we head up the cliff?" Mav asks you all.

Halla: Rikka is still down 6 HP at this point (she had 9 damage total.)

Klo: Yeah, the rings are just jewelry, non-magical, bundled into total loot value

(If I missed any other questions, poke me)

That being the case, feel free to take the dagger (or give it to whomever thinks it’s better used in their hands).

Kló smiles and nods at Knute’s offer to help, making room for the hunter. ”You still look injured. The wand taken from the dead will fix that up.”
