Ragnar nods to empty air. "Then we don't have time to waste. I need you to lead us to him. Hurry." He stands back up and begins walking once more. "How many are left with him? Is the ritual complete?"
Ragnar Death-Speaker
You didn't even find out where the are."[/i]
"Yes I did. He was looking that direction. They are this way."
Ragnar begins moving forward again in long powerful strides.
"Dorzar killed a child because we rescued his intended vessel. He has placed a spirit called the Progenitor within it. It comes this way."
Chops the Defender Dworg
Chops is looking at the bod Dorn barbarian quizzically, but then thinks of his dead brother, his eccentricities, and his seemingly awareness of the spirit world. He must be seeing dead people. Then Ragnar is finished and points the way. Chops addresses the group.
"We charged in last time and got slaughtered. I feel that its my fault. We can't do that again. I propose Pete and I scout ahead silently. When we get a visual Pete goes back while I remain and notifies the rest of you to come along as quietly as you can with Ragnar in the back. Pete will then rejoin me. Then the rest of you come down and get the freaks to charge past Pete and I. As that happens, Pete and I tackle the ritualist. Pete grabs the whistle while I pin him. Then Pete rips out his guts. We will probably need a couple more of you to ignore the mooks and head strait in to help us while the mob is cleaned up. What do you think?"
It seems that we have not moved out yet, correct.

"So long as I take Dorzars head, I'll help you. I have a debt to settle with him." Handing Chops his coat back. "Though it sounds to me like your idea is still having us charging in. They'll be ready this time and you lot are worse off than before."
Ilona Ebonblade
"No, this time we're angry."
"We fight in 3 tiers, tier 1 Pete, Chops, Ragnar and Sorok take it to the leader at all costs. Tier 2 Avinder and I handle the other scum. Tier 3, Solvi you pick them off from range, Gillian, anyone gets dropped we pull them bach to you."
She looks over at Avinder her eyes hard, "Nothing gets past us, understand?"
Ragnar Death-Speaker
"None of them walk out of here alive. None."
Ragnar looks to her, meeting her fiery outrage with his own cold fury. " Agreed."
He retrieves the bar of silver from the weighted net hanging at his belt and stows it. The net he hands to Chops. "Do you think you can wrap him up in this?"
Chops the Defender Dworg
He retrieves the bar of silver from the weighted net hanging at his belt and stows it. The net he hands to Chops. "Do you think you can wrap him up in this?"
Chops shakes his head, "If you had a rope, I could tie him up with it after I grab and pin him, but I'm afraid if I tried to catch him with the net, I might easily befuddle it."
Chops isn't proficient with a net.
Chops the Defender Dworg
"Thanks." He takes the rope. "If I don't have to hold him down, I can do a lot more hurt to him. Let's get it done. Pete?" He nods to Pete to follow as he hangs the ropes at his belt. He glances at Solvistania, then sneakily heads towards the ritual chamber while keeping (somewhat) alert for any surprises.
Stealth 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Ragnar Death-Speaker
Chops isn't proficient with a net.
No one is ever proficient with a net. You just suck up the penalty and still have decent odds because it's a touch attack. The target's a dwarf, it's not like he's going to have much of a dex bonus to jack up that touch AC. Entangled targets are easy targets.
Ragnar takes the net and the rope, does a quick splice and tie, folds it to unfurl when thrown, and hands it back to Chops. "There. Now if you hang on to the rope when you throw it, it should stop him from going anywhere."
Craft:Weaponsmith check to put a rope on the net. 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Ragnar Death-Speaker
Chops isn't proficient with a net.
Honestly, the person to us a net is Pete, since his dex is so high, but Pete and Ragnar don't exactly have a working relationship yet, so he's passing it to Chops. You can do what you want with it from there.
Chops the Defender Dworg
Chops takes the net from the big man, looks at it apprehensively. "I give myself about a fifty-fifty chance of nabbin' the dwarf with this." He studies it for a second. "Yeah, I can make this work."
Chops chance with the net is only 5% less than Pete's, and he has the strength to hold the rope to control him. Actually, considering BAB, it should be even. A strait d20 roll.
Solvistania Elghreah
Solvistania watches quietly as the others prepare the plans to assault the dwarf ritual leader. she motions Ragnar and the rest over, and speaks, "There is something strange about this place, and I felt it earlier, it may be related to the ritual. Ragnar, you are right, the ritualist must not be allowed to summon anything else!"

You should let me handle that. I better understand how us Dwarves move and fight. +1 attack vs. Dwarves. Plus I can rage and charge him with it giving me a d20 +5 bonus.

"No." the big Dorn says simply, seeming to finish there. He pauses, looks to the side, seems to listen, then sighs. "Fine" he says, then turns back to the Dwarf and continues
"You are recovering from drugging and captivity, and we have never seen you fight. We understand that you are angry and that you wish to take your vengeance on Dorzar, but we will not blindly endanger ourselves to give you that chance. Chops has earned our trust in battle. You have not."
Nets are ranged weapons. Raging won't help, and I think that Charging is Melee attack specific.
Whoever does it, you should try to delay your action until we can get a couple other people on him. A flanking bonus to that roll would be real handy.

"Nah, I got this. I'll hold him down. You slit his throat then we'll dump him in the latrine. He has a strange fascination with micturating into open wounds, and I want him to savor his fetish."
Pete grunts in assent. "Let's go, Chops. When time is right, we pounce, kill them all."
Chops nods to his diminutive new friend. "Yeah. Let's put those new claws to good use."

Good call. I forgot about that ranged part. Chops would be better for that.
You saved me. I'll return the favor... I'll earn your trust. What are we waiting for?
Ragnar Death-Speaker
What are we waiting for?
Ragnar's brows furrow as if he just realized that time had been passing. "Nothing." He nod to Chops and Pete. "Go take a look. We will follow once you are out of sight."
He turns to Ilona "Did I..." he pauses. "I am prone to losing track of time. Getting... distracted. My brother used to be the one to bring me back into the now... he looks to his side, waits and then nods. "Yes, I know. That's what I was saying. Thank you." He turns back "... but he no longer notices time much anymore. If you notice me... getting delayed, or side tracked, please tell me."

You are still in the prison room. I lost my internet connection today, but I'm back now. We can continue with the game.

Halfling and dwarg silently slip through the open iron doors in the altar chamber, filled with corpses of dwarven guards and that one ritualist that Sky's arrow killed. Stench of death is strong, but fleetfooted hunters ignore the carnage and move on into the darkness. Pete and Chops, Perception and Stealth, please.

You are still in the prison room.
The rooms are one next to the other. They are separated by iron doors. I assumed that you went to collect chainmail and the sword from the dead dwarves closest to the door. No one yet examined the corpse of dead ritualist.

Farther up the thread I had already rolled these, but I think it got lost in all of the talking. Do you want me to roll again?
Sorok Hamfael
Aww, only short swords. No Axes or Hammers. What kind of dwarves are these? Oh yes, 16 hit points for Sorok. 18 when in rage.
Moving back to the room with the dead Dwarves, he begins to look for a suitable weapon and suit of armor that looks to be about the right fit.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Once he finds some chain mail of appropriate size he will remove the padded armor and don it instead. Then return the coat to Chops. Also are there any daggers.
I thought that's what I did with the perception check and all.

Sorry. Yes, you should have searched the dead ritualist.

Ragnar dragged all the corpses into a pile in front of the alter when he laid his brother and sky to rest. he cut off all their heads and piled their gear at sky and Eyv's feet. We would have had to at least have gone that far to get the equipment. If there was something in that mess, he'd have probably found it, and if he didn't Muni might have when he was scavenging for eyeballs and shiny things, though i guess it got lost.
If there's something we should have found at the time, feel free to use Muni to "remind" us of something he might have seen.
