@Chief: They did a fantastic job, losing very little space for the much more powerful system, however you do notice that the Power Plant might be a little underpowered. This could cause problems just before and after deployment of the Jump Drives. Also the maneuver drives look to be partly installed...r uninstalled..its hard to tell.

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

"I would suggest the Dragon's Daring. It has a nice ring to it don't you think?"

I quite like the Ms. Adventure, but its just a name

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

"Ahh now see this, the ladies have us out numbered and out maneuvered, I surrender to your superior name choice my dear."

The group gather their gear and take-off. Due to the enhanced jump-drive on this ship, it will take only one jump to reach the planet. During that time you can work out exactly what you are going to do and where you are going to go. The database has the following information about Feri:
A rich world located in the Regina Subsector of the Spinward Marches. Feri is a member of the Imperium and the system contains a Scout Base. In addition to Feri Startown, other major settlements on Feri include Falstaff, Muzila, Khur City, and Imim.
Feri has been embroiled in a world-wide war since 1105. According to the official story some of the nations want Feri to leave the Imperium and are fighting the nations that want to stay, but there must be more to the story than that, because the Imperium has only lent the friendly nations a few paltry army divisions, and the war itself remains unresolved after more than a decade and shows no sign of being resolved any time soon. If anything, the Imperium-friendly nations seem to be losing. The whole planet is a battleground, with areas of low-intensity guerrilla conflict and occasional hotspots of open warfare.
It's a mystery why the Travellers' Aid Society has not awarded Feri Amber Zone status long ago. It is expected to do so any day now.

"Nice Place, lets see what we can find." Do we know where on Feri Salvage Factors are based?

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

"Right with you my dear, a leisurely stroll through the combat zones will do us good" Ben smirks at the whole situation.

There are several offices planet-side, as well as an office on the Highport station. Their main office is in the capital city, Feri Startown

"Okay, the way I see it, is we start by going to the sort of places shiphands or administrative staff take their ease and inquire as if we're looking for work, see what they have to say about Salvage Factors. We can also probe the local networks, see if there's a log of their activities somewhere.
If we don't get anywhere with questioning, we may be as well, actually seeking employment there, we'll get an idea of what they have us doing if nothing else."

Myrian looks at the others for reactions, suggestions, anything?

Lt. Charlotte Kimoto F34 (34) SI HS 6A3855-U

Charlotte nods her agreement.

You ask around a few bars and cantinas about Salvage Factors, but no one is talking. Most people just give you a hostile stare, while others simply walk away. The few people who do speak to you have only good things to say about the company, and question you as to why you are asking.
As the day come to an end, you make your way into yet another bar. A typical 'workmans' drinking hole, you start your line of questioning some of the locals.

All players please make a Carouse +0 roll, or IQ -2

IQ: 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 4) - 1 = 4

I will wait a bit to see if anyone else is still with us...

The Chief mingles with the patron of the bar, sharing the occasional story with those of obvious Navy training.

Int 2d6 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (1, 3) + 1 - 2 = 3

And obviously makes a horses-ass of himself :)

You get the same old story about Salvage Factors being a "great" company, and are getting ready to leave when a number of the locals get up and block your exit.
"Why are youse asking about Salvage Factors? Youse been asking all over town, and we wants to know why!"
There are 6 thugs, and while they do not seem to be armed, they are pretty big guys and look like they know their way around a bar room brawl.

IQ: 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 5) - 1 = 9 Jack of all Trades 1 reduces that -2 to -1?

Solomon says "Why don't you setup a meeting for us with your handlers? It saves us all the credits and hospitalization."

Persuade: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (6, 1) + 1 = 8

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

Ben waits to see if Solomon's persuasion does the trick or if he is going to need to crack some skulls.

Liberty's Edge

Ack!! My post disappeared...

"We are just loyal members of Salvage Factors and we don't like people nosing around the company. Now why don't you get back on your shiny spaceship and get off our planet!"

Solomon you notice that you have seen some of these fellows before...at a number of the other bars you visited earlier today.

Solomon smiles, "Please, please. Let's sit and drink. We can trade salvage stories. My crew and I are looking for work and heard that Factors is the place to be." He gestures toward a table, and then to the bartender to bring a round over.

Liberty's Edge

Male Historian/Curator

"Salvage stories huh? Who do YOU work for?", the leader of the thugs asks Solomon.

"Kinda between employers right now, if you know what I mean. We've been flirting with the idea of going straight freelance, but though we'd ask around. I'd rather work with good people than race 'em to job and let things get ugly. If you know what I mean."

Liberty's Edge

Male Historian/Curator

"Well we aren't looking for no off-worlders at the Factors, so why don't you and your bunch just shove off!"

The group, while not completely dissipating, moves off to enjoy a few more drinks, but still cast dark looks back at your group.

"That's interesting, are all their workforce from Feri? or are jobs just sparse?"

Liberty's Edge

Male Historian/Curator

Who are you asking Myrian? Or is your character just thinking out loud?

Thinking out loud / looking for thoughts

After finishing the round, Solomon is ready to leave again and see if there is more information we can turn up on Salvage Factors.

Liberty's Edge

The thugs watch you depart the bar and soon you find yourselves out on the dark, cool sidewalk. This area of town is primarily industrial, so it is little travelled after dark. The flickering streetlights illuminate an empty street with a number of fenced-off empty lots across the way from where you are now standing. No one else is about.

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

"Anyone else smell an ambush?

"Hmm, I think you could be right, lets try and get back to the ship and stay sharp."

Liberty's Edge

Male Historian/Curator

There seems to be no public transport in this area of town this time of night.
Does anyone have recon? If so please make a roll, and if not, roll off INT -2

Lt. Charlotte Kimoto F34 (34) SI HS 6A3855-U

INT-2: 2d6 - 2 ⇒ (5, 5) - 2 = 8

Charlotte is wary, expecting trouble.

Jack of all Trades: Int-1: 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 2) - 1 = 6

Liberty's Edge

As you cautiously walk to a more populated part of the city, you get the feeling you are being followed. Acting on this feeling, Charlotte ducks down an alley and waits, as the others continue on. Sure enough, a few minutes later she see a figure slinking down the street, intent on following the rest of the group, and does not notice Charlotte.

Lt. Charlotte Kimoto F34 (34) SI HS 6A3855-U

Charlotte will tail behind the figure, remaining at the ready.

Gangrel 8th gen Blood: 10/15 Will: 5/5

Ben continues to walk and chat with his friends. "So what now? Do we continue pressing for a way in or do we start being a thorn in the side?

A bit too late but Recon: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 3) + 2 = 8

"I suspect that trying to pursue our way in is going to end in retaliation, I doubt there are decent records on this planet outside their offices, but we may be able to see what a gentle search on the local networks have.

Liberty's Edge

Myrian you notice you have picked up a tail.

Looks like interest has waned in this adventure, so if no one objects, I will close down this game. Speak up if you are still interested in playing :-)

It was interesting to play, thanks.
