"Sunset"
Round5:
Sunset stands panting for a moment...the bleeding and frenetic activity not meshing well together...and then she feels Durgen's aura sweep over her...
So...when it is Sunset's initiative phase/turn...

'RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGH!' She cries....even as all she does is flail madly, striking nothing of consequence. :P
And...what a waste all that seems to have been (-_-)
Agia
A scruffy guard in a chain shirt hustles towards the sound of battle, yelling back over her shoulder towards the camp as she hefts a trident in one hand, concealing something else in the other.
With 40' speed, Agia will try to get the party members within range of a healing channel. Since channel doesn't provoke, she'll get within reach of the beast if she must.
"Let a river of healing wash the blood from these charges of mine, great lord," she chants, raising a wooden carving in her off hand as she skids to a halt.
Channel, excluding Bigfoot, for 1d6 ⇒ 4.
"Sunset"
Sorry for your possibly ex-character Hiro :( Also, are we into Round 6?
"Sunset"
Sunset continues to flail wildly....Some might even say desperately...

EDIT: 'Quote Durgen Grimhelm': Sunset, just in case I am reading that wrong above, there is no more haste for you since I am attacking (I have to give up all my actions for a round to grant that for one round)
Bugger...(-_-)

Agia
Agia repeats her prayer, then hastily shoves her medallion back under her shirt. "What are you people doing wandering away from camp? How is the swordsman? Will he live?" She kneels next to Durgen to check Hiro while she says to Sunset, "Well done. You're a great fighter, miss."
"Sunset"
The events catch up with Sunset, as the adrenaline of the encounter fades from her body,
"T'weren't...nuth..."
Fort Save:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
And she collapses...
*Thump*
Agia
Agia sneaks her holy symbol out from under her shirt and quietly channels divine healing energies again, hoping to help all nearby who have been injured.
Channel to heal:1d6 ⇒ 6
"Miss? Are you all right?" Turning to Durgen, she asks, "What of the swordsman?"
"Sunset"
Sunset groans, since even though the power of a God soothes some ills it is not enough in this instance to cure all...
She sits up, "Ahhh...dang and bugger-it!" She drags herself over to Hiro's limp form...
"I...I couldn't..." And she collapses upon his prone form, soft sobs being heard from beneath her hat.
T'is the least I c'n do for a fallen comrade. Show my pain at their passing. *Hug*
Durgen Grimhelm
Durgen gets a pained look in his eyes and says, "Its too late for Hiro I am afraid, he was a good friend."
See the goblins start to drag the body away Durgen yells, "Oh no you don't!" and charges a goblin with his Dorn-Derger extended at 10'
Charge 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Damage 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Agia
"They're slinking away. Now would be a good time to get back to camp, folks. You can get bandaged up there." Agia stands looks down at the sad little scene. "Sorry for your loss, but we need to get out of here. You wouldn't want to make his passing meaningless by dying now, would you? We can take his body back with us if we're quick."
Agia stands awkwardly, keeping an eye on the goblins and twitchily waiting for the rest of the group to get moving.
"Sunset"
Will Save:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Sunset straightens, blinking and wiping her eyes with the cuff of her jacket.
"Aye, safety in numbers..." She mumbles, even as she kneels and begins to gather Hiro's from up. She looks to Durgen as she works her way around to put one arm under Hiro's form.
"Maybe, t'gether...we can...?" She suggests.
Durgen Grimhelm
Durgen is ready to help but first peers at the thing they killed wondering what it was
Monster Lore 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
He will also cast detect magic to see if he had anything magical on him
Then sift spell to search immediately its belongings
Perception 1d20 + 7 - 5 ⇒ (15) + 7 - 5 = 17
After that he'll help Sunset with Hiro's body and tell Agia to gather whatever he finds or get a couple others to help drag that body back to the camp.
Durgen Grimhelm
Durgen stops by the dead body and grabs a ring and a small container off of it. As he helps Sunset with Hiro's body he says to Agia, "See if you can find a couple of people to help get that thing back to camp to investigate"
Once back to camp Durgen wants to check his wound out to see if he is infected
Heal check1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Agia
Then she does so, keeping a wary eye out for goblins. Once back at camp, she reports to the guard captain. "Some of the 'guests' ran into trouble outside camp. Goblins and some sort of changeling man-beast. This is not a good place to be. We should move on as quickly as possible. One of their party is dead, though, and the rest wounded, some badly. I brought the were-thing's body back for examination." She points to where it lies.
"Sunset"
Sunset does the best she can to prepare Hiro's body for transport and eventual burial (Though a good Viking Long-ship burning would be more fitting...us' sayin'...)
As to the other body? She spares it not a thought...
Agia
Once off guard duty, Agia seeks out Durgen and Sunset. "Sorry about your friend," she says gruffly, not meeting their eyes. "I didn't hear the scuffle until it was too late. Look... I owe you. The other guards and me, we failed in our duty to protect you. If there's anything I can do, let me know. My people take oaths seriously, and I swore one to the mages to protect the caravan. That means you, too. I failed. I owe you."
"Sunset"
Sunset just tilts her head a little, something which the brim of her hat highlights.
"There's nothing to apologize for. If m'self, Hiro and Durgan hadn't wandered off into them....where do you think a bunch of Goblins and some furry-shagger where on their way to next...hmmmm?" Sunset replies, even as the tilt of her head indicates the rest of the caravan.
"Still...here's to hoping maybe Durgen can shed some light on whatever that scruffy-chops was and how common such critters are." She absently pats the empty leather pouch at her hip as she speaks...
Durgen Grimhelm
Durgen listens to Sunset and replies, "The beast man was some sort of lycanthrope that can infect you with a bite. I checked myself out and seem to be OK, did either of you get bit? I also found these items on it, and I was going to show them to someone at the college when we get there."
Durgen shows the container of pills and the jade ring with a strange elongated dragon depicted on it.
to Agia, "As Sunset says no apologies needed, we may not have survived without you showing up. In any case once you are done escorting the mages in the caravan you would be welcome to come with us. There comes a certain amount of danger with that however so be warned before making any choices."
Agia
"I'm afraid I got to the battle too late to get bit. As far as after this trip, well, I'll be looking for another stream to drift along once the mages arrive safe. You folk seem to need some help, though..." she nods towards Sunset, "...yon lass seems to be capable enough, and you as well, good dwarf. Methinks you had a run of bad luck, though it may have saved the mages. So I'll stand by you after this. The waters sweep us together for a reason sometimes, before they sweep us apart again."
Agia steps closer and lowers her voice. "As for not surviving... if you don't mind, let's keep any, oh, divine restoration you might have notice between just ourselves. My fellows don't know of my, uh, gifts, and I'd like to keep it that way."
"Sunset"
Sunset's reply to Agia is simply just another tilt from the brim of her hat.
