According to The ever useful d20PFSRD:

In a round of combat, you can do either :

1 Full-round action OR
1 Standard action plus 1 Move action (in any order) OR
2 Move actions (effectively trading your Standard action for a Move action)
Plus a combination of :

1 Swift or Immediate Action AND
Any number of Free Actions

The 5 ft. step
Provided you don't take any other action that actually involves using a move speed (walking/running/flying...) during the same round, you can take a 5' step as a free action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity once per round.

Spellcasting
While most spells have a casting time of 1 Standard action, others can take a Swift action, a Full-round Action or more. For those spells that take longer to cast, you're effectively using up a Full-round action each round for the duration of the casting.
Also, be they Quickened spells or whatever, you can never take more than 1 Swift action per round.

OOC comment on EE effects:
If a creature makes its save, how does EE continue with cackle? The save reduces the hex to just a single round. Yes I know cackle reads "Any creature that is within 30 feet that is under the effects of an agony hex, charm hex, evil eye hex, fortune hex, or misfortune hex caused by the witch has the duration of that hex extended by 1 round." My ruling is that cackle will not extend an effect that was saved against. Is there some other reference point I am missing?

Daardra cackles; Orett lands a blow that does some limited damage; Eng encourages and heals; Ghun lays a mighty hack that staggers the giant for a moment and has it looking fairly wounded.

so with my standard action I evil eye the guy, and then with my move action I can cackle, and as long as I keep cackling the guy suffers from evil eye, xhether he saved against it or not

is true this is quite a nice combo for a lvl1 character

Yes, as long as they stay in range. If you penalize saves, you can even use that penalty to increase the odds of landing a Misfortune Hex and then your cackle extends them both at once. Especially at level 8 when the penalty is -4, it's a nasty one-two combo against a boss-type.
