FWIW In the books, while Torag is listed as the overwhelmingly most common diety worshipped by Dwarves, Irori is actually listed as the third most common, with it being more common than other Dwarven dieties! It is one of the reasons I picked it as a faith; it would be easier to explain than say Iomedae. Perhaps Irori worship is found mostly amoungst Dwraves who comingle with humans. Perhaps dad, being from the Land of the Five Kings, is bit of a traditionalist. I'm starting to think of the "goodbye scene" like a son going off to a North Eastern Ivy League college, and his "old money" Georgia family, who still live on the plantation home. Maybe. Maybe not. Hmmm
From Dwarves of Golarion, pg 8
In addition to the dwarven pantheon, dwarves in human lands often worship Abadar and Irori. Both gods require discipline and hard work, and dwarven temperament is well suited for veneration of these foreign deities. Abadar espouses the advancement of civilization, and many dwarven engineers and architects seek his guidance. Irori promotes perfection of the body and soul, and although his faithful must not imbibe alcohol, they find the disciplined regimen befitting their principles.
From Dwarves of Golarion, pg 8
In addition to their worship of Torag, Abadar, and Irori,Golarion dwarves have a small pantheon of related deities that have few worshipers outside the dwarven race.
