Vincent walked into the room and looked around with surprise. he was expecting something large and surprising but to be positioned to view into the lake and everything was amazing. He walked up to the glass and pressed his hand against it "This will make studying hard....quite the distraction, but a pleasant one at least. It'd be amazing how someone could get in trouble when they have this to watch in their downtime." he said smiling and watching despite his sleepiness.

After a moment she asked "Any questions?"
Olivia raised her hand and Alcyone nodded to her so that she could speak. "Will the rooms be arranged according to blood status?" She asked.
Alcyone sighed as he shook his head. "No, given that all here are pure or at least half-blood, you won't really have to worry too much. Just remember that we are all Slytherins. It is all the other houses who are your main enemies now, so even if you don't like the person next to do, deal with it. They are a fellow Slytherin and might even be of use to you." He said.

Ken cracks a huge yawn as Keston asks if there are any other questions, then says, "Nope. Nothing here."
Once the group disperses, he trudges up the stairs with Ciaran, Greg, Macbeth, and Hugh, whom he hadn't had a chance to talk with yet. Finding their door, he walked into the room and chose a bed partway between the dormitory door and the window - hopefully it would be warm enough once it got cold.
GM, I think you forgot Greg in that list.

Isabella stride in confidently and takes the bed on the far right. As she drags her trunk to the foot, she loos across at the glass. there's a little eel in the rocks right near her bed. Putting her finger on the glass, it strikes where the finger would be. "Aw... how cute. I think I'll name him Monty."

Vincent looks up and over at Dragoslav when his thoughts are interrupted by the pat on the back. He nods "Indeed it seems we are. Here is hoping that this year will be an eventful one filled with knowledge and experience." he said as he made his way into the room.
He looks around at the room and spies one with a small inlet in the wall that he could lounge upon and read from while enjoying the view of the lake. He takes the bed closest to it and looks up to the others joining in their room.
"In case we did not hear each other's introductions from the sorting hat...I am Vincent Wallace, pureblood if it matters. My mum is a respected witch of the Ministry's Accidental Magic Reversal Squad. I can't say to my da's work to be honest, we don't really talk about it at the house. In case it's not become apparent, I was born and grew up in Edinburgh. Me da's, of course, a proper Scotsman but he met me mother at Hogwarts despite them being in different houses. And, yes, I own a kilt...no I will not be wearing it." he said trying to answer all the questions that may come his way.
He hopped up on his chosen bed and noticed Beast had been hiding in the shadows. That soon changed as the cat found his master had chosen his place and the large animal made himself known and home in the room. He looked at the others expectantly to introduce themselves.

Odd, that the password doesn't change. What if it gets leaked? Hufflepuffs are either trusting, or there's something up their sleeve that I'm not understanding. Perhaps they'll just let anyone in--no secrets in here. They--I mean 'we', chum, mused H.B. to himself as he trundled luggage to the Boy's quarters and thence to the First Year assignments. "No, no questions...hey! nice!" H.B. noted that there were no bunk beds, just comfy bedsteads for each student. It was all rather hobbit-ish, which didn't bother him one bit.

There is no pause whatsoever. "Absolutely not." She takes Anora by the shoulders and looks her right in the eyes. "You're muggle born and you've already started in on learning a couple of spells. That's more than most new students can do, and you've only had your wand a couple of weeks. That's the kind of talent that doesn't come along very often. I suspect you could have been in Ravenclaw, but you're going to be the kind of person who does stuff with instead of whiling your time away in the library." There's an absolute confidence to these conclusions.
The next part is quieter, something to keep secret even in a room with nobody else there. "What's more, I'm not just saying this for fun. I think I'm going to end up depending on you. I'm the kind of person who gets by a lot on intuition and charm. That'll work for some things, but when it comes to the kind of stuff that requires raw brainpower I need to work hard on those. Having a best friend who's a genius is probably my only shot at not getting kicked out in disgrace. If you help me out, I'll defend your honor with my rapier wit and make sure that we both get invited to all the parties that matter."
Anora Evans
Anora gave a small giggle aa her cheek turned a soft pink from the embarrassment of praise. "Don't worry Isabella, I won't let you get poor grades! What kind of friend would I be if I allowed that?" Anora said. "I'm going to take the bed next to your, that way if we really need to we can stay up all night studying without bothering the others." She said as she pulled her trunk from the cluster of them in the center of the room over to the bed she wanted. She also let her cat Hecate out to roam.
However in the nature of cats, the creature simply jumped up onto Anora's bed and curled up purring. Anora gave a smile to Isabella and said "Hecate seems to like it here."

Brain walked up behind H.B. and gave a small nod. "Not bad, looks like we're roommates as well." He said as he moved in and pulled his trunk over to one of the beds.
Soon after two more boys walked in, talking to each other before seeing their roommates where already there. "Ah heya! I'm Ethan and this is Eilian. Looks like you're our roommates ya?" Ethan asked with a grin, while Eilian seemed a bit more held back. "Don't mind him, Eilian isn't too much of a talker."
Gryffindor
Macbeth walked into the room grinning, "Well look at this! At least we don't have to go through introductions again." He said before he moved his trunk over to the free bed. "None of you snore right?" He joked bringing up that was made a dinner.

Boys:
Oliver calm into the room as Vincent was on his speech. He gave a small chuckle. "Well, at least we got that out of the way." He said sarcastically. "I am Oliver Selwyn." He said before he moved his trunk over to a free bed. "None of you are noise sleepers right?" He asked,
David came in a few moments later followed by Shawn. "We're the last here it seems." Shawn said before he just moved his trunk. "I am Shawn Rosier, a pureblood of course." Daivd moved his trunk to the end of his bed and sat upon it instead of his bed. "I am David Travers, a pureblood as well."
Girls:
The last three of the group came into Isabella and Anora's room laughing among themselves. However Olivia stopped them short and smiled when she saw Isabella. "Oh fortune smiles! I'm so glad we'll be sharing a room Isabella." Olivia said joyfully as she went to move her trunk to the bed beside Isabella's only to find Anora's trunk already there. "Um, this isn't going to do." She stated.
"Olivia you can just have this bed." Samantha said. "Oh, I'm Samantha Peterson. I am a half-blood you see." She introduced herself. "Oh and this is Siobhan Doyle, also a half-blood."
Isabella Orpington-Belushi
"We saved the head of the room for you, Olivia." she says, helping move her trunk to the other end of the room. "I figured you wouldn't want to be by the door and bothered by people passing to the loo at night. Plus the light's better there." She turns to Samantha and Siobhan, "Sorry girls, you two were the last in, so you get the last choice. Remember that you will be the first line of defense when the boys come in to steal our underwear!"
She hopes that Olivia being told her bed is special and better than the other two will mollify her. They were definitely going to have to manage Olivia.

"Oi, Brian, cheers. And Ethan and Eillian, hullo! Hem Bahadur--everyone calls me H.B. as it's a bit of a mouthful." H.B. shook each of the boy's hands in turn. "I'm actually from around here--parents get stationed all over the Highlands," he said with a shrug and a grin. "What about you?" Baja made a small 'chwirk' from his perch and plucked at one of his jesses. "Ha, and that's Baja, my buzzard, cheeky thing. Go to sleep, bird. He'll quiet down when the lamps go out...and I promise he won't do his business on anyone's books--he's been trained not to do that."

Slytherin Dorm (Girls)
Olivia is slightly taken back the she wouldn't get to stay next to the one she had planned on, but she couldn't argue with Isabella's words either. After all she was the only one here with pureblood. Taking a set upon the bed that had been "saved" for her, she gave a nod "Oh, well I must thank you for that though it's only right."
Hufflepuff Dorm
"I'm from England, Eilian is from Welas!" Ethan said before he picked a bed and plopped down onto it. Eilian took another and just quietly sat down.
Brian gave them a nod before saying "So I asked around a bit, found out a few things. So food isn't allowed in the rooms, however if you can get it in without being seen they normally leave ya alone about it if you're on your bed." He said with a small smirk "And we're right by the kitchen! So it can't be too hard."
Gryffindor Dorm
Macbeth gave a small shrug as he took his shoes off and tossed them behind him without a care, guess he's going to be a bit of a messy roommate. "Breakfast is at eight tomorrow." He said. "I asked Keston on my way up. [b]"He seemed upset that I was still hungry though I'm not I just needed to know."

"Not...allowed...in rooms? But I've seen everyone bring in their Chocolate Frogs and Bertie Bott Beans and the like...piff. That sounds like a breakable rule if I ever heard one," said H.B. "My Nata--er, Nanna to you--she'll be sending me care packages right and left. D'you like mango pickle? Samosas?" . He flashed a grin. "We'll find a way, I'm certain."

"Oh you are welcome Olivia." she keeps the sarcasm out of her voice, but she does slip a wink to Anora to let her know that she is playing the pureblood.
"Well, I think I had too much pumpkin juice at the feast." she heads out, ostensibly to the restroom. She brushes Anora as she heads out to tell her to come along.
Anora Evans
"Oh I need to go too." Anora muttered as she swiftly followed after Isabella. After a few moments Anora looked to Isabella and said "You're ny life saver, I can already tell." with a friendly smile upon her face.
"So um Isabella, do you mind if I ask you a more personal question?" Anora queetioned.
Vincent Wallace
Vincent bows politely "It is a pleasure then to meet all of you. Hopefully, we shall all be a bounty to this House. As far as being a noisy sleeper...well, I've only slept alone in my home so I don't rightly know. Hopefully we are all able to sleep well. If not, I'm sure there are potions and the nurse for that." he said smiling. He stretched a bit, finding himself to be quiet tired.
He hoped that all the food at Hogwarts wouldn't be quiet as heavy as the lavish feast they had or he'd have to adjust his exercising a bit to stay fit.

"Hey if you're willing to share treats, I'll help you sneak them in!" Brian laughed with got a nod from Ethan.
"There is a trick to it." Eilian finally spoke up as he looked to H.B. "My cousin said that if you get your bag enchanted to only let stuff out for you then it becomes easier, but the best way is just to put them at the bottom with parchment on top."
Gryffindor
"If you can find them!" Macbeth said with a grin. "The kitchen are difficult to get into apparently. I guess to keep us from sneaking if of course, but I beat we could find it."

She chuckles, "That depends on what world you're talking about. My dad's in show business and that's at least as weird as the wizarding world. If I flew into the room, they'd all clap and joke about it. I guess I've never had to act normal." She was bent over, knocking on the wall, when it comes to her and she stands up straight. "That's it, acting normal! I may not know normal, but I do know acting! That should help you blend in at Christmas."
"There has to be an elf-hall around here somewhere."

Ken frowns, thinking. "If we knew where it was, the big trick would be slipping out without anyone noticing. Plus I'm sure there's someone whose job it is to wander around, trying to catch students out of bed, so we'd have to avoid them. We'll probably want to learn a few more spells before we try it - just in case."

"At the vest least we need some sleep." Macbeth said holding back a yawn. "We'll figure out how to get into the kitchen later." He agreed.

Brian gave a shrug as the only answer he could.
"I am not sure either... my older sister said there is a late class, Astronomy but I'm not sure what time it is. Though it'd have to be after dark right?" Ethan said with a tap on his chin. "We could just go to bed now. I mean we'll be woken up either way tomorrow morning right?"
Isabella Orpington-Belushi
"Of course I can teach you. The question is if you can be taught," she says with absolute clarity. "Acting is part skill and part talent. I can teach the first, but the rest needs to come from you." Before Anora can absorb that, she switches to the other train of thought. "Elf-halls. Passageways for house-elves. they are the people who do the laundry and other chores around here. Very much like stage-elves."

H.B. could feel a huge yawn that threatened to open his mouth into a chasm and turned it into a big of a sigh and a bug-eye sniff instead. "Yearrrh...time for adventures tomorrow, I'm sure. I'm feeling pretty knackered." He patted his pillow.
"'Course, the Slytherins are probably staying up figuring out how to make untraceable poisons. Ha!"
