Male Half orc AC 15

Rukkh runs south 30' and yells in common:

"Murderers and Liars! You've had your last night of peaceful sleep! I will hunt you."

Rukkh then runs another 30' south into the Pines.

Dirt Wizard/Geomancer (AC 17, PP 15)

Jorlitharr shouts "Ironic you yellow belly!"

He crouches shoving thin flakes of shale into the ground that magically disappear beneath the dirt mumbling "Ke'PHA KUbba"

Razor thin shards of shale spring up from the ground surrounded Ruhhk 20 feet in all directions.

He ducks behind the heavy Dwarven Doors for cover.

Male Half orc AC 15

Rukkh grits his teeth and heads south, drawing the healing stone from his pocket. Three times he moves into a square covered in sharp stones, cutting his feet and lower legs, cursing in orcish, elvish, and common. He leaps over one square of sharp stones.

As he moves, he draws the glyph stone from his pocket.

Damage from Empowered Spike Growth: 6d4 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 2, 3, 2) = 13

Rerolling 1,1,2 for empowered: 3d4 ⇒ (4, 3, 3) = 10

Total Damage=19

Raising his left hand, Jorlitharr will silently move slowly southwards. His hand will drop as the spikes sink into the earth. The will reappear to the south as he raises his right hand Casts Spike Growth Again

Oleksandr rushes back to the entrance upon hearing Jorlithar's shout.

As Rukkh runs past, the wolf raises its head. It had been resting peacefully in the den Jorlitharr had created for him. He does not get up, but does watch everything unfolding.

The dogmole sees Jorlitharr and lets out a howl of hello. He walks to stand next to his friend by the doors.

The orcs feel the sharp rocks sliding up from the ground. They hop back and forth on their feet, looking down. They hear the commotion, but as Rukkh is running AWAY from the mountain door and not towards, they leave him be.

Perception to see Jorlitharr cast a spell: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (12) - 2 = 10
They don't notice Jorlitharr by the doors. They are both more concerned with their feet.

Roll damage for the orc guards. One roll will be for both.

Myra, from her perch, can see and hear everything that is going on.

Oleksandr emerges from giant door with a weird eyeball looking appendage in each hand. He slowly walks towards Rukkh and aims them both at the deserter.

First one - make a DC 13 wisdom save or become frightened
Second - make a DC 13 dex save or become slowed. If you are frightened I believe you will have disadvantage

Male Human Lev 4 Wizard/Mage Armor AC16/Spell DC 14

He yells to the orcs
"That half-blood is stealing Ulfe's food. Get him!"

Male Human Lev 4 Wizard/Mage Armor AC16/Spell DC 14

persuasion: 1d20 ⇒ 2

Male Half orc AC 15

wis save or frightened: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

dex save or slowed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
dex if disadv.: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Rukkh is scared and slowed!

"A frightened creature flees from the source of its fear as best it can. If unable to flee, it may fight. A frightened creature takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks. A frightened creature can use special abilities, including spells, to flee; indeed, the creature must use such means if they are the only way to escape."

Male Human Lev 4 Wizard/Mage Armor AC16/Spell DC 14

Regarding the slow (it's different than the spell): On a fail, speed is halved for 1 minute and can’t take reactions, can take either action or bonus action on turn (not both)

Male Half orc AC 15

Rukkh uses a dash action to move 15' south (taking damage). He activates the healing stone as he goes.
healing glyph: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

This may come up: "Relentless endurance: When dropped to 0, not killed outright, drops to 1 instead. 1/per long rest."

Total cumulative spike damage is 31. Not sure at what point the healing would go off.

At the end of round 2, Rukkh is down 19 hit points. So he begins round 2 down 19 hit points then heals 6 then dashes through more spike stones for 12 damage. So in total Rukkh is now down 25 total hit points.

Alex, this is the rule for Pathfinder not 5e. Here is the correct rule for Frightened: "A frightened creature has disadvantage on Ability Checks and Attack rolls while the source of its fear is within line of sight. The creature can’t willingly move closer to the source of its fear." So you don't need to actively run away. Do you still want to move through the spike stones?

Male Half-Elf Level 4 Bard (AC 13; Spell DC 15)

Olias steps outside to see where everyone ran off to. After discovering about Rukkh, Olias quickly takes out his lute and tries to awaken Seymour Byron. He gives him one of his rations. "Chase him down, boy! He's the one who shot you!"

Male Half orc AC 15

Rukkh panics and runs through the sharpened stones. He collapses bleeding.

Dirt Wizard/Geomancer (AC 17, PP 15)

Jorlitharr will tuck some things in his saddle bag, shake his head.

Walking up to Seymour he'll pour a newly found healing potion into his dish and lay out a days worth of rations.

He'll turn to the party.

Thravum waits impatiently through the muffled sounds of conflict down the hall, constantly glancing down the stairs. Eventually he (rather clumsily) wraps the hand of one of the orc guards back around his javelin and sticks the head of the javelin into an open wound in the Captain's gut.

Satisfied with his staging of the scene, he wanders back outside.

"What the hell got into Ruk?..."

(on learning) "Like I said, only good Orc... Heh..."

Male Human Lev 4 Wizard/Mage Armor AC16/Spell DC 14

During the short rest Oleksandr writes a message on a strip of parchment,

Found the lair in mtn. Down a man but proceeding. If avail, bird can guide help. -O.B

If anyone other than Dara were to read this it would say,

Your nosy life will be ended if you do not return this message to the raven and release her.

He ties the message to Myra's leg and instructs her to find Dara at the jail in Blasingdell.

He will also ask Olias if he thinks he can get any information about Ulfe from Grushnak seeing as they have a bit of a repore. Has he seen him? Is he an orc?

Dirt Wizard/Geomancer (AC 17, PP 15)

Jorlitharr is quiet.

He opens up the saddle bags and removes a few waterskins of water, a jar of pickled eggs, some cheese and some crusty green bread and lays it out on a piece of cloth. He offers the dogmole some food but he filled up on grubs outside. Jorlitharr gives him an affectionate scratch on the nose.

Eventually he motions to the bags on the ground. "We have some potions in here some of you found on your previous journeys. It may be wise that they all not be in the saddle bags in the event we need things quickly. "

Seymour healing:

"Sometimes I think we're just meant to pay for the mistakes of our ancestors. And ours will for ours."

Grushnak is noticeably in shock. He has just seen you kill three orcs in front of him. But he is not running away from you.

"Grushnak believes in the Great Ulfe's decree that all orcs must work together. But these orcs are Northerners and treat Grushnak's tribe badly. Grushnak the smart is happy they are dead. Friends will not hurt Grushnak. Friends will protect Grushnak from the Northerners."

He looks at Olias. "The Great Ulfe is a great leader but a tough leader. He asks much of orcs. He has magical fire and powerful double axe and will punish us if orcs are bad or fight. Grushnak has seen the Great Ulfe, he is great and tall and big and wide and pale."

"Grushnak is hungry." He looks at Jorlitharr with the eggs and snacks.

The dire wolf licks the dirt wizard's hand. He looks completely refreshed, well rested, and ready to go on an adventure.

After receiving instructions and a bag from Dara, Geim gathers up some extra supplies and makes haste for his new party. From Blasingdell, he makes his way almost through the orc trail when he sees two orc guards standing, blocking the way.

He wonders if they'll let him pass.

Oleksandr leaps out of his sitting position, his mouth opens and he eyes Grushnak.

He says in elven,
"Dara sent help. He may have trouble with our friends outside."

Before Olias says anything, he grabs Jorlithar and Thravum by their arms and leads them into the hallway where he whispers the same in dwarven.

You see a tiny scroll. It reads: "I am sending some provisions plus a compass with Geim. This compass will lead you back to Blasingdell at the end of your journey -Dara”

Geim joins you at the end of the rest.

The ring: Ring of Strength (requires attunement) - While you wear the uncommon version of this ring, your Strength score increases by 1, to a maximum of 21.

The dagger: Dagger made by Durgeddin - +1 Dwarven mithral dagger - You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. When dealing slashing or piercing damage with this weapon, you ignore any resistance against the type of damage dealt by this weapon. The mithral material makes its worth higher, plus it weighs half as much as a regular dagger.

"The name's Geim. Nice to meet you lads. Thanks for coming out to get me, I wasn't sure if they were friendly or not. I'd hate to have to dent my precious shield on one of their skulls."

Dirt Wizard/Geomancer (AC 17, PP 15)

"Ho there..." he looks to the guards and motions for Geim to come inside and we close the door behind him.

Dwarven:
"You come from Blasingdell? I'm Jorlitharr. We're trying to stop the terror these orcs have wrought. The orc with us has helped us so far. He's been trustworthy, but was a prisoner. We've convinced him we want to form an alliance with the orc clans in order to infiltrate them. We were unsure of their numbers. We're preparing to speak with their chieftain. We do not have faith that these orcs will keep honorable terms and battle seems inevitable. I'd like to give the orc we're with a chance for his life when the time comes unless he leaves us no choice."

What does Jorlitharr see when he looks at Geim? Does he bear obvious insignias or coats of arms?

male Mountain Dwarf Fighter 4

Dwarven:

"Yer shield dents on a Orc skull, you need a new smith... heh..."

"Dusty wants to keep ol' Gruslek alive. I said before... Only good Orc is a dead 'un. Dead bastard tracker prove me right."

He chuckles to himself for a moment.

"Oh yeah, Thravum."

Dwarven:

"You're right about that. She'll take more than I give 'er credit for."

"Well met, Thravum."

"Greetings, everyone. That's one 'ell of a bird you got there."

Geim makes a small head nod toward the orc.

"This is the orc guide I take it..."

Grushnak eyes this new dwarf. "Grushnak the smart, Grushnak the brave," he says. "Grushnak lead to the Great Ulfe? Might meet more orcs on the way."

When you look at Geim, you see an average sized dwarf wearing chainmail and holding tight to his warhammer. He's carrying a pack and a beautiful shield on his back. You could almost guess he's a paladin by the looks of him.

He's fair skinned and like most of his dwarven brethren, equipped with an impressive beard. The red braids are almost covering it, but you can make out an amulet dangling from a chain around his neck. This might be religious in nature, but you're not sure.

He seems to have a calm demeanor about him, but you can tell he doesn't seem to like these orcs.

Geim grunts at Grushnak.

"We'll see how smart you are."
