Getting everything ready for me to totally overdose on PbP during the football season...

GM thunderspirit |

Sure, welcome aboard!
Right now the party is:
* Pandora, Brd 7
* Kalendir, Pal (divine hunter) 7
* Artian, Ora (battle) 8
* Sareth, Clc 9
We have one player with several options. Almost any combination keeps us at the 7-8 tier, so a level 7 pregen should be fine.

![]() |

Ill be bringing some meat to the party with Roary, Barb 9..
Still got some purchases to make before we start.. Ill get u a list later..

![]() |

Think I'm just about ready.

![]() |

Seeing as we'll be spending time together. Sareth is an old school cleric. He's balanced between heal, buff, and combat. That means he's not AMAZING at those, but good. He does have the Healing domain, so he's better than average there. If we hit Diplomacy areas, he's pretty good.
I also own every every published by Paizo. If you have spell request, don't hesitate to speak up.

![]() |

Hello! Nice to meet you all :)
Pandora was born in the Mammoth lands, in a nomad tribe. She is of Kellid and Tian ascendancy mixture, and travelled to the South pushed both by the repulse of her people to the inner magic she was developing. She sheltered with the elves for a long time after leaving home when her mother left with her looking for a better life.
After exploiting her artistic capabilities and cultural songs and lore in the Absalom streets, she was discovered by the Pathfinder Society and enrolled into a bunch of adventures.
She is no particularly beautiful but there is certainly something charming in her. A woman of character and action, she exploits her softer side as much as she can.
I am attending an event this Saturday were I might play Pandora. If so, I would be level 8th by the beginning of the scenario, which I understand is ok.
I am dotted in the Gameplay too, just erased the post.

Kalendir bumped up to level 8

![]() |

Here´s Artian. A Battle Oracle who is moderately good at fighting and talking with people. He have some spells to help when there´s no fighting, or when Roary can dispatch everybody (Playing with you in Veiled Flame make me decide I need to diversify my options, because sometimes I´m not needed in combat at all).
Artian hates gods and blames them of many of the problems of humanity (and elvity and ...), but has learned to work with clerics and similar and to close his mouth if he find someone too delusional about the gods. He only had met one person so insane, but he really hopes to not met another one.
I need to check my online profile because my last game was F2F and I´m not sure if Artian is updated

![]() |

Roary is indeed a bit optimized for combat.. Its a flaw I have when building characters and one that gives me pause when I inadvertently steal the show in combat at times.. I apologize upfront if that happens in this run..
I've decided I'm saving for a Ring of Blinking so my only purchases will be x1 antitoxen/antiplague, x2 bladeguard, and spending 2 pp on a potion of displacement..
As far as spell requests go a shild of faith is always nice, as well as blessings of fervor..

![]() |

Artian is updated, just need to spend money.
Roary, I don´t mind if you are optimized for combat. I don´t look to be the better, just to contribute. (And is fun when the scenario forces to have only one combatant and all the group buffs him to astronimical bonuses. I had one of such situation, and we all had a great game)

Here's my "default" prep list:
4th:Death Ward, Dismissal, Holy Smite, Summon Monster IV
3rd:Daylight, Magic Circle Against Evil, Prayer, Prayer, Searing Light
2nd:Aid, Bless Weapon, Remove Paralysis, Restoration (Lesser), Spiritual Scimitar
1st:Bless, Bless, Doom, CLW, Command, Remove Fear, Remove Fear

![]() |

I would suggest a slight swap considering our makeup.. I think we're ok with haste effects considering Pan and Art both can provide extra attacks.. The following is merely a suggestion:
4th-Swap Dismissal for another Holy Smite or Freedom of Movement.
3rd-Swap Magic Circle for Invis Purge and one Prayer for Communal Resist Energy.
2nd-Swap Aid for Commuanl Pro Evil(does the same as the magic circle really..) and Remove Paralysis for Silence.
1st-Swap Doom for Liberating Command and Remove Fear for Shield of Faith. I would also swap your domain clw for another shield of faith..

I have almost finished updating Pandora to level 8.
I think currently I only miss buying new equipment.
My time is very constrained this weekend but I hope to be on time before the start.
Feel free to provide any suggestion while we are on time.
On a tactical situation, Pandora tends to open with Inspire courage and some other buff, reserving haste for the toughest battles.
From there she usually rains the battlefield with arrows, unless this is non-effective or there is something more pressing to do, like revealing an invisible creature, dispelling or suppressing a battle defeat effect.
Out of combat, she can be quite convincing, give knowledge support and can manage herself in a stealthy assault.
I am open to requests in and out of combat, I do not promise to accept them always, but I will certainly not get angry by anyone suggesting an action you consider important to take or a spell being cast ;)
I played the prequel of this scenario and I am quite excited about seeing what happens from that point on :)

![]() |

I'm going to make some of those switches, but not others (mainly based on equipment options and play style.) Spell selection will be:
4th:Death Ward, Freedom of Movement, Holy Smite, Summon Monster IV
3rd: Daylight, Invisibility Purge, Prayer, Prayer, Searing Light
2nd: Bless Weapon, Protection from Evil (Communal), Restoration (Lesser), Silence, Spiritual Scimitar
1st: Bless, Bless, CLW, Command, Liberating Command, Remove Fear, Shield of Faith

FYI, all: we will definitely get rolling on Thursday, November 5.
However, please be advised that I have a convention at which I'm GMing starting on the 6th, so as I get the opportunity to post something I absolutely will, but I will very likely be AFK much of the weekend, to resume regular posting on Monday.
Also, APL synopsis:
* Balacertar: Pandora, Brd 8
* Tyranius: Kalendir, Pal (divine hunter) 8
* WerePox47: Roary, Bbn 9
* Oykiv: Artian, Ora (battle) 8 (maybe 9)
* Dungeon Master S: Sareth, Clc 9
* Beat It Flat: undetermined pregen 7
50 puts us at the very top of 7-8 We're good!

![]() |

I too have a convention this weekend, so I'm in the same boat.

Artian updated to level 9.
No problem to wait in the weekend.

Beat It Flat |

I will also be at a con GMing this weekend. But will check in as possible. I am going with Merisiel 7th level rogue.

Hey TS -- Trex here. I had signed up in the Flaxseed Sheet but not in your sheet. That's probably just as well because I don't think I've got the bandwidth for this at the moment.
Have fun, everyone!

We'll miss ya, Trex. (You're welcome at my tables any time.)
Having gotten a little guidance on how this is going to work, I'm ready to get started now. Please keep an eye on your PM boxes over the course of the Gameday (ends December 20, 2015), as a few things will need to remain private due to copyright issues and such.

GM thunderspirit |

My favorite part of this opening act might just be this:
Once the PCs have introduced themselves, another
Pathfinder joins their group...A list of suitable NPCs with background information is presented below. Table GMs are encouraged to pick an NPC that suits their particular roleplaying style. A GM can also provide her own NPC.
I'm going to liberally interpret this and use one of my own PCs as NPC. Were we doing this live, my choice would be automatic; and even on play-by-post, my choice is an obvious one.
Please, please, please: take every delicious insult he hurls in the entertaining spirit by which it's intended. And if when he becomes too much to take, know that he'll only be here for the opening act.

Rosham! was the my introduction to you if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, I'm injecting Ka'atib, master troubadour.

Yep. Bishop and Rosham and Erin and Amira, crashing the Blakros wedding. :-D

“Pathfinders, please get settled. All campus-wide events are closing. All venture-captains and field agents are invited to gather on the north lawn for refreshments and the keynote address in several minutes.”
Table GMs Act 2 begins November 10th when the Overseer Announcement is made, please begin to conclude whatever contests are ongoing.

I think there is no need for concentration check because there are no Somatic components (the spell is just Verbal).

GM thunderspirit |

Nope, still need a concentration check regardless. Source.
To cast a spell, you must be able to speak (if the spell has a verbal component), gesture (if it has a somatic component), and manipulate the material components or focus (if any). Additionally, you must concentrate to cast a spell.
< table >
To cast a spell, you must concentrate. If something interrupts your concentration while you're casting, you must make a concentration check or lose the spell.

![]() |

This game is just so complex, it never ends surprising you how ignorant you are about its details xD
Sorry for that.
As about the rerolls. I also have a Folio which allows for a reroll. How do you want us to manage this? Shall we send a PM with a photo and our character sheet?

![]() |

I believe no matter how many ways you have to reroll ur only allowerd to use a single roll per session.. I personally use a shirt reroll..

GM thunderspirit |

No worries. I miss a lot of stuff too. :-)
Your benevolent GM has a shirt that he donates to the table as well. I usually do the honor system in play-by-post, though you're welcome to post a photo of your shirt/folio if you want.
And yes, only one reroll per session regardless of its source.

![]() |

Note haste provides you with 30 extra feet for each move action, whatever the kind of movement used.

![]() |

Ah, how elephants can be so poorly appreciative of folk music XD
I guess we will have to try with other kind of drumming.

![]() |

Summon some mice! :)

GM thunderspirit |

We are ready to go into Act III. I am AFK most of today, but will dive in tomorrow as possible.

![]() |

So our network just went down and we have been told to expect it to stay down for the rest of the day. This seriously cramps my ability to post as I only have my phone. Sorry everyone, I'll post when I can!

Good thing you're on cleric initiative, then, huh? ;-)
Sorry, amigo!

![]() |

I want to insist in my apologies to Roary as for not to cast haste this turn.
If more people were staggered I will weight it more, but in current situation where Kalendir and Pandora have the advantage of the range attack against the flying creature, I think it is more convenient to go with a full attack to try drop the foe.
It is sometimes difficult to take these decisions (both difficult to judge what course of action will give better results in the long run and difficult to leave a companion hampered), but I believe the haste spell will be better saved for later encounters :/

![]() |

Makes total sense. I completely understand.

GM thunderspirit |

Okay, so I owe the table an apology here; work has decided that this is the week to seriously kick my @ss, resulting in my being MIA the entire day.
Couple that with the effing up I did on the puzzle of Arliss Hall (though Kalendir was at least on the right track) and I'm feeling like I've let y'all down. I'll try to do better, all.
