Marius Bergan
Marius simply offers a blessing to his god and makes it so everyone has a small field of magic around them.
Using Deflection Aura to grant all allies within 20 ft. a +2 deflection bonus to AC, and CMD.
GM Pox
Hadjii moves to heal his companion..
Rajik goes berserk and nearly cuts the elemental snake in half.. In the future let me know what element your adding for the extra damage.. Also make sure to keep up with your rage rounds used.. 4 so far? Also just realized you rolled 2d8, not 2d4 for your attack..
2d4 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3 So Calla does the need the missle to kill it..
Calla readies a missile and has to use it to finish the beast.. Surprised you didnt roll Know planes to id it
Marius can hold his blessing seeing as the snake was killed..
Out of Combat! Ill procede when Bandit is up and yall are ready..
Calla Voni
Surprisingly I don't have it trained.
^_^ I could use some extra skill points... Does the DC is less than 10? Cause in those cause someone will certainly make the DC... Anyway:
K.Planes Untrained: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Once again she is panting heavily. It seems these missiles drain a lot of Calla's energy. "Gods... This place is full of things I've never heard of..."
Rajik Fireblood
Sorry on both accounts...
I have been tracking my rage rounds and just added my elemental assault.
GM Pox
It's no biggie.. These are all new characters and we're all learning and working kinks out.. Element type is strictly for if creatures have resistances..
Rajik Fireblood
I should be used to that since I'm running an Ifrit Paladin with Scorching Weapons in a home campaign...
GM Pox
If im not mistake Bandit is now at 4 hps from the cure? Im gonna press on and if yall decide to heal him more ill consider it done in this room..
After the fight with the sand snake thing the group pushes forwards.. Opening the next set of doors reveals..
A tapestry hangs from a frame against the south wall of this large chamber; it depicts an otherworldly vista where the souls of the dead, shepherded by strange beings, enter an ethereal river ambling through space toward a landscape dominated by an impossibly tall spire. Columns sculpted in the shape of Osirian warriors wielding khopeshes stand in all four corners of the room. The floor is tiled in a white spiral pattern on a black background, and this spiral pattern is repeated on the stone double doors to the north and west.
I going to assum SoP will be to take 20 on search till further notice.. Right now its not an issue because yall dont have spells running.. Laters levels you might have to change this considering it takes 2 minutes for a small area..
Yall find nothing of importance in this room.. It appears to be some sort of transition room from the embalming place, to the final resting place..
Map Updated.. North or West?
Hadjii
.
Hadjii's CLW did indeed bring Bandit to 4hp...
Being down two hp himself, Hadjii will implore Marius for a channel...
Marius Bergan
Marius will gather everyone around and make use of one of his channels.
"May Netheys protect you from the terror of Netheys."
Channel heal: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Hadjii
.
"Marius, I am thanking you, and the great god Nethys! Oh yes! Bandit is ready to continue, but he must be quite careful for now."
Hadjii will hug his wolf as the others move out of the room, and -- upon entering the next room -- will agree with Rajik:
"I am agreeing with you, my friend: continue west, and see how for we can go that way..."
GM Pox
Opening the doors to the west you all see..
This short hallway narrows sharply to the west, descending to set of stairs that abruptly ends at a rough rock wall.
I've updated the map but need more details about what yall wish to do in the room before continuing
Marius Bergan
Taking 20 for perception for a 30. If after that Marius doesn't find anything he will cast detect magic to try and find any magical traps.
Calla Voni
Tapestry!! $$$ Seriously now, tapestry have been pretty valuable throughout history, why they are not here!!
Calla takes a quick appraise check at the tapestry before moving along with the rest.
Appraise: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
"I see three possibilities here. One, this hallway and the following branches were not concluded. Two, the roof has colapsed, or three, this path leads to somewhere they do not wish anyone to find. It might be the woman's tomb that the scripts mentioned."
GM Pox
Again the tapestries can be salvaged with a dex check..
After Hemket's and Marius's extensive search they find a secret door along the northern wall, however there is no obvious way to get the door open from this side.. Calla is able to determine from the documents found earlier that this was indeed the tomb of Akhentepi's mistress, but it was left unfinished after he died unexpectedly.. As the team searches down the stairs a couple of cat sized insects burst from the loose dirt to attack! Know Nature
This housecat-sized beetle is a dull brown color brightened by two glowing green-yellow spots on its carapace.
AC 14
Hemket: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Marius: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Calla: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Hadjii: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Bandit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Rajik: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Init Order

Marius
Rajik
Hemket

Hadjii
Bandit
They both attack Marius.. Being the take 20 guy puts you up front most likely so..
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 But neither are able to get past the cleric's new, shiny, shield..
The group is up!
Hadjii
Hadjii's Knowledge:Nature check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Rajik Fireblood
"I'm getting tired of the constant attacks. Couldn't make his tomb easy to rob, could he?"
Rajik moves forward and swings.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10
Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11
Hemket
"Yes, I do have to agree, this stuff has been a downright lousy host. Someone should have taught him better manners while alive. "
Then he will take out his sling and load it.
GM Pox
Marius will have to back up to let you at the beetles, assuming he does you turn one to goo.. Alot of the creatures were not put here, they dug their way in lol..
Hadji you identify the beetles as Mining Beetles, a variant of the Fire Beetle.. They can burrow and glow after they die, thats about it..
Going to play cards.. Ill check in later..
Marius Bergan
Marius will swing his mace and then step back let the others through.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Then 5 ft. step back to let others attack.
Hadjii
"Bandit, guard Calla!"
Hadjii will stroll over to Hemket, and cast Guidance on him...
Calla Voni
Having several allies covering the enemies with their bodies, Calla decides to keep her attention on the northern and eastern door, in case anything shows up.
GM Pox
Marius smashes the bug to pulp and moves out of the way to allow Rajik and destroy the other.. Combat over!
Poor bugs.. Just defending there home and now their paste..
After defeating the bug menace the hero's finish their search and find nothing more than an unfinished tomb..
Moving through the northern double doors they see..
The center of this large octagonal room is a raised square platform a few inches above the floor, with a stone pillar at each corner. A gold trimmed sarcophagus sits in the center of the platform, flanked by two statues of humanoid beings with canine heads, each of which holds an ankh in one of its crossed arms. Stone double doors exit the room to the north.. Need yall to be very specific on where you go and what you do in this room.. Ill wait till everyone has responded before we proceed.
Hadjii
Hadjii and Bandit will linger where they are, by the door, making sure nothing bad comes up from behind whilst the other inspect the room...
After a few rounds, they'll skirt along the west edge of the room.
Marius Bergan
Marius doing his normal thing will begin to look around the room for any traps if side matters then he will go along the 1 equals left, 2 equals right: 1d2 ⇒ 2 right side of the room.
Taking 20 if possible for 30 on perception.
Calla Voni
"Whoooooooool!" Calla finds what they came here for, and she is really atonished with the view of the sarcophagus. Without a second though, she begins to slowly circle around it to the right, keeping her eyes on the prize, but allowing her allies to do anything that they want, like stopping her.
Marius Bergan
"Stop! I need to look for traps before you even thinks of moving! Do you want this place to unleash its traps upon us?"
Marius steps back as he speaks. He places himself back in the hallway just in case she continues on without heading his warning.
Calla Voni
She shakes her head, as if waking up from a pm the gm sent me saying I was charmed a dream. "Oh, sorry! Sorry! I got carried up in the moment!"
Rajik Fireblood
"Hmm... this seems too easy... I may be able to help, but I leave the searching to the rest of you."
I'm not sure how to take a 20 to assist, but a 20 gives me a 24.
Marius Bergan
Marius will now continue on but he will keep a close eye on Calla.
Now continuing to go through room as before taking 20 for 30 on perception.
GM Pox
Ok ive got Marius leading the way to the right, searching, with Hemket and Rajik assisting.. Hadjii and Bandit are wait/watching at the entrance and Calla is waiting just inside the door.. If any of that isn't right let me know.. Gonna update the map and move you guys up some.. And im pretty sure you cant take 10 or 20 to assist.. I believe you have to actually roll to assist..
Marius takes his time in searching as he goes.. Hemket and Rajik right on his heels, lending 2 more sets of eyes.. After several long minutes go by he reaches the midway point into the room and notices something on the eastern wall.. It appears to be a secret door.. It does not appear to be locked or trapped..
Assuming yall open it you see..
This small room is filled with human-shaped bundles wrapped in linen. Each wears a small medallion around its neck. There are 5 bodies total
Calla Voni
Calla comes in after the finding of their companions. "Oh my god! Those are Akhentepi's guards!" She detects the magic on the bodies and medallions, to understand if they do something other than serveas a jewelry.
Apraise: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Hemket
If you have to roll to assist, then you can't assist someone taking 20, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible myself, but it's your call as GM. The 30 will likely do it anyway.
GM Pox
My thought was if you could take 10 to assist someone and the dc is 10 to assist than you would always assist and why even have the assist rule.. Just say you add +2.. After looking it indeed states in the prd that you can't take 10 to assist.. Now yall can still roll and if you get 10 or above you can add to the take 20.. Although your right in that a 30 will find anything at this level.. And many more for that matter..
Calla detects magic on the mummies and nothing glows.. The medallions appear to be the symbol of Pharasma..
Continuing around the room or something else?
Rajik Fireblood
Rajik touches one and says a silent prayer to Anubis for allowing them to pass on to the next life.
GM Pox
Yea i guess i was a little vague there.. To clarify il gonna break the room up into 4 quadrants, each taking roughly 2 minutes to search slowly.. Yall are currently in quadrant 1, with quadrant 2 being the north side of the room and 3 being west side.. Quad 4 is the middle, raised area.. Now, which quad will yall be moving too?
GM Pox
Will Hadjii and Bandit being staying at the door?
As the group slowly makes its way around the room they come to the door on the North side.. After inspecting the door it doesn't appear to open normally, but must be lifted to open it, which makes is nigh impossible.. Rajik would have to rage, roll a 20 and get all yalls assistance to life it.. DC 30 Str Check..
Nothing else of importance is found in the northern quadrant.. Assuming yall dont break yourselves trying to lift the door ill move on to the west quad..
Moving around to the western quad Marius notices another secret door, but this one seems to have a trap at the base of its entrance.. The 5x10 in front is trapped with a pressure plate.. It looks better manufactored than previous traps.. Let me know if yall investigate or move on..
Marius Bergan
Marius waits to see what comes of Hemket's work.
GM Pox
Gonna run with it that Hadjii and Bandit are still at the door..
Hemket kneels to disable the trap and almost immediately here's a click.. Not the good, reassuring click he was hoping for, but a much harsher twang click as he sets the trap off.. Within an instant the southern door begins to fall shut.. Hadjii and Bandit have but a second to get clear.. In or Out: 1d2 ⇒ 1 They both dive into the room as the door slams shut behind them..
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Hadjii is slammed to the floor from the impact and is prone, while bandit lands on his feet..
At the same time arc's of lightning flash back and forth between the pillars on the center platform, passing through the sarcophagus.. It begins to move and suddenly springs up and attacks! It flies over, lid chopping like a huge, gapping mouth and goes after.. Know Arcana
Random: 1d6 ⇒ 1 Hemket! I based the roll off yalls intiative roll order and will do so for any furture random rolls..
Hemket: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Marius: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Calla: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Hadjii: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Bandit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Rajik: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
1d20 ⇒ 15
Surpise Round:
Surprise Attack!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Vs FF is a hit..
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Grab: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 Somehow fails to hold on!
"Round 1"
As you and the alive sarcophagus prepare to duke it out the northen double doors life and a tide of water come rushing in!.. It rises to 6" in the first 6 seconds.. Basically gonna rise 6" per round.. Ceiling is 10' btw..
Initiative Order..

Calla
Everyone but Calla is up!.. Map Updated!
Calla Voni
Imma freaking grab Improved Ini! I'm tired of going last...
K.Arcana: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Marius Bergan
"Well at least we know what that trap does now."
Marius moves up and attempts to hit the coffin.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
