Sorry! I've been having a rushed couple of days!
Keskodai gives a clatter of anger and pain with his mandibles over the green snake burying it's mouth into his side. He lets himself settle on the ground and steps away, letting the thing take another bite at him, but giving him room to breath, and concentrate on a spell. Taking a deep breath, he squints at the creature, imposing his mind on it and trying to cause the creature's brain to implode on its self.
Moving 5 feet back, provoking an AoO, and then casting Mindthrust as a second level spell, hopefully the thing has an intelligence score. If it does DC 17 Will save for half.
Mind thrust 2: 4d10 ⇒ (2, 9, 5, 2) = 18

bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Keskodai tears the creature's mind apart, and it goes down!
The big yellow snake chomps into the water, but can't reach any of you! It starts thrashing wildly again, and crashes into the glass a second time!
You suspect that the case can't take another hit.

Athletics: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Lapis attempts to swim to get a better view of the large snake but is unable to move any better than walking on the floor. He steps into the fallen green snakes square and fires a shot at the yellow one.
Underwater squad machine gun: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 161d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Sticking to his position, Iseph calmly crouches down to keep himself partially hidden as he fires another shot, this time at the large snake.

Keskodai realizing that he'd handled the problem right in front of his face and not the larger won, tries to swim forward enough to get a clear sight of the yellow creature.
Swim: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 3
He doesn't get very far, but he does get a better view. With a moment to focus himself he fires another thrust of mental energy at the yellow snake.
Mind Thrust, 2nd level, DC 17 Will for half: 4d10 ⇒ (3, 8, 2, 5) = 18

Lapis, Choppy, and Iseph send a wave of bullets, but haven't quite mastered the art of shooting underwater yet.
Keskodai sends a psychic attack at the big snake.
Will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
I'm sorry, the dice just aren't cooperating with you!
The snake shrugs off some of the attack, but still takes a beating.
Raia is still up!
GM Kate
Raia strikes the snake with a round of magic missiles. It once again fruitlessly chomps at he water in front of it, then thrashes wildly.
Two things happen:
The cracks extend and break. Water begins pouring into the case.
The effort of this final thrash pulls the snake loose. It swims into the center of the room.
Please note that it has reach with its bite.
The case is flooding. If any has a clever way to stop that, let me know! Otherwise, if you are next to the case, you can remove one item with a standard action. You think it will take about two rounds for the case to completely flood. The case has: old books, a spiked chain, and a handheld computer.

Lapis begins taking charge," Choppy, Keskodai! Grab the book and the computer! those might be our only way to find out exactly whats going on!" he says as he opens fire on the yellow snake.

Realising that he is too far to safe the artifacts for now, he decides to concentrate on big snake.

Sigh, Iseph doesn't seem to be aiming very well...
GM Kate
Unfortunately, Lapis and Iseph both miss. Choppy, Raia, and Keskodai are still up!
GM Kate
I might allow partial efficacy, but the 10 minute casting time is an issue!
Choppy and Keskodai are up!

Attempting to swim to the case and get the items though i'm not sure on the map where the case is located. Making a swim check to see if I can get to the case and if so I'll grab the book. And Keskodai can grab the computer.
Swim: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Keskodai reaches over and delicately takes out the computer from the large crack in the case and tries to put it into an environmentally sealed pouch on his armor as fast ass he can.
<Shoot, shoot, shoot! This is not good! I doubt the Marlomaw's will be happy with this... let's try getting EVERYTHING out of the case! Just in case!>
He then takes a second to pull out his weapon, just in case he needs to shoot.
GM Kate
Raia and Choppy grab books and Keskodai grabs the handheld computer, sealing them quickly to avoid water damage.
The snake bites Keskodai! (It has reach.)
bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18

I was hoping we could get through this combat first, but I have to pause for GenCon. I will be back Monday!

Yeah, for sure! I totally understand that people couldn’t get on!

Lapis opens fire for a full attack on the snake but all his shots go wide.

Raia's magic missile destroys the snake! Choppy just grabs and bags the spiked chain before the case completely fills with water.

once they are all back inside the airlock, Lapis will quietly ask "Did anyone else notice the bits of green armor in the teeth of those things? I'm starting to think it's not looking good for our Kalo friends."
GM Kate
The airlock to the library spins open and Irtrine comes in. Her mouth drops open as stares at the shattered case and the dead snakes. "What happened?"
Lapis-A17

"It looked like it wasn't the first time they attacked someone either," Lapis adds,"has anyone else been attacked recently?" he asks, paying close attention to the Morlemaw's answer.

Irtrine looks gratefully at Raia. "Thank you for saving some of the relics."
She deflates as Lapis points to the bits of armor.
"Yes...you're right. I do know what happened to your friends. Oshessa...she killed them. She poisoned them. She fed their bodies to the snakes. I know because she asked me to help. It felt wrong, but she said she had to do it to protect us.
"There is one more thing you should know, though. One of them is still alive."
GM Kate
"I don't know for sure. I haven't seen her since. But I have heard a rumor that Oshessa has some kind of secret room off of her room. That would be my best guess."
Sedoriku's 二番目 Pregen
Keskodai gives a sharp intake of breath as he hears about the death of their compatriots, but then realizes the pain that Irtrine has been going through and moves to comfort the large marlomaw. <You've done right by them by telling us, thank-you. That must have been a heavy burden to bear. You did what you had to.> He gives her a few more pats, before smiling and adding, <Now, try setting it right and help us rescue the survivor! Is there anything you can tell us about how to rescue him?>

"Damn! I so wanted you people to be good. I mean just think if some of you joined the starfinder society? you could go to missions all over the pact worlds, and.... wait a minute," he pauses and spins around pointing a finger directly at Itrine,"Did you poison us at dinner!?!?!??!" he yells in an accusatory tone.
GM Kate
"Yes, Oshessa will almost certainly resist you. She has a couple of underlings in the fold, too, and then there's Teltham. Everyone else, though, they have no idea what's going on. There's not much else that I can tell you about where she is."
In response to Lapis's accusation, she swims up, slightly. "Certainly not! Oshessa was on food preparation duty last time and took advantage. Zavlig would never hurt anyone."

Lapis gives Itrine a sideways look as he reloads his weapon and begins checking them in preparation.
_Iseph_
I knew something was not right! ”Such treachery!”
”So if we attack her, we need to do it out of sight of the rest of the morlemaws, or they would likely join in her defence. Is there something you can do to lead them away? We have a traitor to take care of,”
GM Kate
"She might be in her quarters right now. She typically is after dinner. She might not be alone, though, but her lackeys know perfectly well what she's up to."
GM Friendly Sauce
"well lets go get her," Lapis says as he makes for the room with the rest of the group.
if the plan is to go directly to her room and confront/attack her, Lapis will activate his energy shield. (lasts for min/lvl).
