Sorry everyone, I’m going through some tough times right now so my posting is a little spotty. I’ll try to hop back in tomorrow. Bot me if necessary.
GM Kate |
Will do. Thanks for letting us know, Chris, and I hope everything works out okay.
Navasi, Freelance Captain |
Sorry to hear that!
Much like GM boss said!
And Navasi is there, but given the DRAMATIC ACTION SEQUENCE that the party is going through and all she's doing is keeping the mega-crap-tonne of space-walrii distracted, I'm sparing you boring details and distractions... :P
GM Kate |
Oh, I moved Navasi over as well. I assumed you would have joined the group after a while. If that's not true, I can move you back, but you probably want the whole party together for this!
Navasi, Freelance Captain |
Just as long as it doesn't endanger the party's stealth by doing so, all cool with it!
GM Kate |
Totally fair! I am back, and the game is officially restarted!
My voice held up quite well! I ran exhibit hall demos rather than games in the Sagamore, and I think it's actually quieter down there.
Navasi, Freelance Captain |
The Demo area in the Exhibit hall IS quieter than the Sagamore -- during the day.
At night, I think the overnight shift was at 'just the right volume' in the Sag, and if I volunteer for GMing a huge chunk next year, I'm DEFINITELY doing overnight shifts. Sure, it shot my sleep cycle to heck and back, but the less stress on my voice was very welcome.
I had a *slight* brush with the cruds but I'm somewhat recovered -- I only got two hours of sleep Saturday evening (if one is generous) because the afternoon slot I was going to play/grab dinner in turned into an extra GM slot on top of the eight I was already doing.
GenCon overbooked us, we were scrambling to make it work, ran my very first Starfinder table -- The Commencement -- with nary a rulebook and only a quick read of the scenario itself. Granted, it helped I'd played it a few times before, but...

That Saturday slot was a mess! Thanks for helping out! I got my first 4 starfinder kills this weekend. Got a handshake from one of the players and they told me it was "The most fun I ever had dying!". If you heard kpop and Visual Kei blaring from a table, or skitters screaming "HELPING HELPING HELPING!", that was me running "Star Sugar Heartlove"
Navasi, Freelance Captain |
I suggest completionism and looking through the reliquary area carefully!
GM Kate |
We’re back! I’ll get back to posting this evening, but feel free to get back into the game!
Id-Sinitis |
Traveling this weekend, bot me if necessary! I’ll be back Monday
GM Kate |
Quick, quick! While it’s up! Can folks please send me an email at northbaypfs@gmail.com so we can coordinate if the site goes down again?
GM Kate |
Could I please get people's chronicle sheet information?
I need:
SFS character number
Day Job Roll
Faction slotted
Anything else you need notated on your chronicle
You can post it here or email it to me.
Navasi, Freelance Captain |
The only thing I need to suggest play-wise is let's collect all our evidence and make sure we present all of it, plus our survivor.... I'm recalling the weaponry, the Starfinder badge, the shreds of armor, the fact that the food was a toxin to aquatic life forms, the *full* information about the horrible, horrible deity that their 'weeping Knight' is... anyone else know of other things to present?
"So, I was sent by the Society because the person who was going to be sent apparently had a fashion show they had to attend for diplomatic reasons. Information for their dossier follows"
SFS 145296-705 'Jimaa Whitehorn'
Day Job Roll: N/A (no skill appropriate -- Pregen)
Faction Slotted: Manifold Host
Chronicle is being reduced to L1 credits

SFS 151562-701 (character name still to be determined)
Day Job Roll: N/A (no skill appropriate -- Pregen)
Faction Slotted: Wayfinders
Chronicle is being reduced to L1 credits
Thanks so much for running! Especially with all the interruptions.

Wow this one has been so much fun! Thanks for the amazingly awesome game! Can't wait to see how it ends!
SFS# 176948-702
Dayjob- Pregen N/A
Faction Slotted- If allowed, Manifold Host
Id-Sinitis |
SFS character number: 125136-702
Day Job Roll: Day Job: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Faction slotted: Wayfinders
Anything else you need notated on your chronicle: nothing comes to mind.
Thanks for running, Kate!
Navasi, Freelance Captain |
From Navasi's perspective, if he runs, then he's going to have no one to support him, and he'll fall even more into 'The Weeping Knight's' flippers.
If the moralmaws execute him on the spot, or we do, then the blood will scar the community, who do not appear to have been dialed in on this.
The only option she's seeing is to talk him down and play it cool.
And yes, in case I've forgotten at some point, thank you very much for running despite the turmoil of modern media interfaces.
GM Kate |
I'm just sorry that it's dragged out so much! Three months is much longer than my games normally take, but between GenCon and site problems, it was hard to wrap it up.
Speaking of which! You are almost done! I am at a con, so I'm hoping people can wait for Monday for chronicle sheets, but shoot me an email if you need it sooner.
GM Kate |
All right! Chronicles are done and here. Let me know if there are any issues! The game has also been reported.
I hope everyone had fun!
Id-Sinitis |
Looks good, thank you!
Navasi, Freelance Captain |
Are the credits correct for a sheet reduced to L1?
Obo Za-Ya |
Thanks again for running Kate. My chronicle looks good.
@Navasi / Wei Ji: SFS Guild Guide, pg 7:
"You can apply adventure credit from a higher-level sanctioned module or Adventure Path to a newly created, 1st-level Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild character. When doing so, reduce the credits reward to 720 credits if the adventure grants 1 XP or 2,160 credits if it grants 3 XP. You do not benefit from any boons until your Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild character reaches the minimum level listed on the Chronicle sheet, unless otherwise noted."
Slightly different from PFS, and note that boons are available at 3rd level since that's the min level on the Chronicle. I thought it used to say boons were available once you reached the level of the Pregen played, but maybe I'm mis-remembering.
Navasi, Freelance Captain |
PFS is different from SFS, and there's been question about 'level of pregen' versus 'level of chronicle', because there's a theoretical chance that a character could have 'held' chronicles that could apply at the lowest part of the tier, and then be out of tier when they reach the level of the pregen played.
Minimum level of the Chronicle(for the pregen tier) is a much better way to go.
