Yippee!!
Also, somehow,my We Be Goblins group are descending upon Sandpoint as we speak as it Burns. Fleeing a vengeful Chief Gutwad after one of our previous PCs betrayed and tattled on us coz we said screw the Licktoads and wanted to become adventurers---and took all the fireworks and treasure.
My goblin PC was...reformed by E-Terah after she caught him stuck in a chicken cook by an enraged bunch of roosters beating him to death with spurs, wings, and beak. He was 3,having chewed his way out of his baby cage and tagged along with a Goblin raiding party from the Tickwood. Needless to say,all twenty goblins and mounts were slaughtered by warhounds and combat trained donkeys guarding the area of the farm they charged upon.He hid for several days before she staggered upon him to collect eggs.
Taking pity on him because she was bored and the fact he was yellow, she eventually named him Darts due to how he would frantically ran around. She taught him common, how to read( monumental task in itself) and forced him to bathe and clean himself until it became a habit. Then, seeing he was old enough to survive,at 6,she booted him out on the Lonely Coast with a new outfit, soap, waterskin, and a jar of pickles with the order,"Be good now."

I can just image -
E-Terah the she-dwarf with her fusica mohawk and braids bending over patting a Goblin on the head - Be good now. Off you go into the world, remember to wash behind your ears.
LOL :)
Love the fact that your Goblin hero took all the fireworks! To funny.
As far as this came goes - I definitely need a composite Longbow for the extra strength. One good hit and then nothing.

Hey guys,
It looks like our samurai got bit hard by the RL bug. :-(
I just put up a virtual wanted poster in the recruitment forum for a single melee type player.
I like having five PC's. That way incase someone need a bit of RL time off (please let us know in advance when at all possible) the party is not crippled.
Perhaps he/she can even show up in time to help with your current goblin crisis.

That reminds me,
Tomorrow is my 31st birthday. I have *no idea* how available I'll be, over the weekend. I should be able to throw some posts up, via my cell if nothing else. But in case I don't, you know why.
Happy Birthday!!!!

BTW, I can not expres how much I appreciate an advanced absences notice. Makes running a game soooooooooo much easier.
*stay safe having fun*

My suggestion regarding a new player:
We're in combat, but also probably in a bit of lull after that. I suggest trying to wait at least through the weekend to see if we get a few submissions, then pick from among them.
In other words, I don't think we need a replacement right this second.

E-Terah Deepheavy |

Hmm. I think that I will have E-Terah's backstory include how she came to be at level 1. She was once a 0 level character with the NPC class of farmer....who led a group of peasants from a tiny thrope of less than 200 people, all human more or less, neighboring her family's massive farmstead who requested aid due to the Thorpe's residential guardian,a cavalier, went missing.
Basically a modified Pathfinderized old school dungeon crawl classic called The Halls of the Minotaur starring her and the brave few who went along to become heroes to the tiny, isolated Thorpe of Tangles--named after the Tangledthorn Wood it sat next to infested with bloodthorn vine. This would be her first time dealing with humans on her own--and representative of her father, she strived to do her best. She was 36 at the time, just riding out the last few bumpy rides of dwarven puberty and gaining the voluptuous figure she is known for. And probably the only dwarf the poor, sheltered peasants of Tangles had ever met in person, becoming a bit of a celebrity to them.
She visits them every few years to check up on them as Tangles has steadily been expanding since her first faithful visit eight years past. They cheer whenever she pops in and she's happy to see them doing well, especially the youths she accompanied on that adventure have matured into capable adults.
Especially the eighth child of a shepherd,Rori, whom she appointed the new role of the tiny villages guardian to him who survived the adventure. He views her with a Platonic adoration and hero worship that borders on fanboy, much to her resignation.A fighter specifically using spears like a dragoon. And handy with a pitchfork.

Hello, everyone! Checking in and happy to be joining this game. Please feel free to peruse my character sheet and let me know of any typos or suggestions for fitting in with this campaign.
Welcome Savarend. Glad to have you aboard.

E-Terah Deepheavy |

Cool! Another dwarf! Wonder how he'll react to the beautiful eccentric surface dwarf farmer? Who,by dwarven standards,is barely legal? LOL! And has a penchant for reformation of goblins and other monsters if she can get her hands on them while they're young enough.
The only thing she probably won't try to befriend is giantkin. And demon?devils/Undead necromancers. She has limits.

E-Terah Deepheavy |

Funny thing about E-Terah is she's more open to nondwarven relationships as well. She's still young and quite...oblivious to love and lust. For now anyway.
Hence her bewilderment towards ...love confessions as she becomes quite flustered and doesn't know how to approach it!
Especially an incident with a tiefling highwayman who looked like Thrax from Osmosis Jones and a desperate bandit that threw what everyone thought was a bottle of expensive perfume into the tiefling's face--only for him to lock eyes with an agitated E-Terah and fall in love. It was a freaking bottle of philtre of love, not elixir!! He,horrified by sudden feelings of love at first sight, took the bandit who threw the bottle, used him as a human shield from crossbolts from E-Terah and several of her family's retainers, who happened to be on a casual patrol of the farmstead perimeter when the tiefling and his bandits popped up to demand a toll and rob them. Little did they expect a group of dwarves armed with crossbows and warhounds to respond angrily.
He fled due to being quite tall and having longer legs. E-Terah and other dwarves collected bounty on the remaining bandits bodies and promptly forgot about the incident.
However there is a tiefling out there in love with a bespectacled fuschia haired she-dwarf with a Mohawk utterly confused at to what to do about--*dissolves into hysterical laughter*
Ooh its gonna be so fun playing wit y'all! !

I just want to say I owe everyone a huge apology. Over the last week+ my workload has increased, my family responsibilities have increased and my time for posting has become basically nil. :( The situations involved should be resolved by the end of this week and I would greatly love to continue in this game. However, I do understand if that would not be possible.

No need to apologize for RL. We've all been there. I'm glad to hear things are stabilizing for you. I bet that feels great.
I don't expect to get through this campaign without everyone needing a hiatus at some point. Myself included.
Having Masao active in the game would be great! I want you to be sure the posting rate would not be a burden. This group seems to be very fast and responsive in posting. Let me now when you ready and we'll find a jumping back in point.
There has been the new addition of a dwarf paladin, however six is still a manageable group.
Thanks for the update.

Dude,OW.Wtf. What the hell,Shield of Faith and +4 lamellar leather armor. Goblin dies now.
If he actually hit me,reaction above. I thought my AC was higher than 12 with Shield of Faith. If he missed or whatever I'll edit.
*maniacal GM grim will save*
But it would have been so epic.Forgot about shield of faith. My bad. I track the creatures stats but have not been with the PC's.
Perhaps everyone could start tracking them in the avatar header. I know Haley does so with the HP. Example HP 7/7. Mabye the same with AC, like AC 12(14) so we have the base and any buffs added next to it.
Just a thought.

Alaren |

Great idea. I have done that in a previous game I was in.
I have updated mine.
It also made me re-look at my hero lab character and I realized that I did not have my armor checked as being on. That provided me two extra points to AC.
I think I might need to go back and look at it again and make sure everything else is correct and up to date. I do like how in hero labs it is easy to track arrow usage. :) Now I just need to consistently hit something with those arrows!
Off Game Topic - How many have seen the New Pathfinder Mini's - They are pretty awesome looking.

E-Terah Deepheavy |

Thought so. Couldn't have my awesome pants PC croak so...critical fail. I'll be sure to adjust things. Looks like its too late to edit that post. And awesome sauce for Alaren and Masai playing Blood Bowl with the football headed gobbo. Tackle! Sack! Unnecessary roughness! Foul! FALCON PAWNCH!

Dairkal |

It would help if E-Terah's Character Sheet was more cleaned up and organized, its all over the place, and very difficult to read. It also includes stats we aren't using, like Defense and Vigor...at least I don't think we're using them.

Haley Kindel |

* The Pathfinder Battles minis are fantastic! I saved up for months and bought a case of both. While they are rather expensive, the quality is superb, and they really bring a lot to our local tabletop. Especially if you are running an IRL campaign of Rise of the Rune Lords since the new minis were specifically sculpted for it. I hope they do a set for Skull and Shackles. Arr! (Happy Speak Like a Pirate Day) =)

I really didn't mean to take the poor Goblin's head off. I just wanted to KO him in case he might be useful later... lol (usually he die roller isn't that friendly)
Although, since I don't have Improved Unarmed Strike, shouldn't that have been non-lethal damage? :) I can live with it though since it makes for an interesting event. :)

I usually go with the player having to say non lethal or I try to knock him unconscious or whatnot. I'm not sure what the actual RAW is but I'm guessing it's as you say. I'll look into it closer next time and ask if it's not clear (unless some has a link or page number handy).

Haley Kindel |

*Hope this helps =)
Unarmed Attacks: Striking for damage with punches, kicks, and head butts is much like attacking with a melee weapon, except for the following:
Attacks of Opportunity: Attacking unarmed provokes an attack of opportunity from the character you attack, provided she is armed. The attack of opportunity comes before your attack. An unarmed attack does not provoke attacks of opportunity from other foes, nor does it provoke an attack of opportunity from an unarmed foe.
An unarmed character can't take attacks of opportunity (but see “Armed” Unarmed Attacks, below).
“Armed” Unarmed Attacks: Sometimes a character's or creature's unarmed attack counts as an armed attack. A monk, a character with the Improved Unarmed Strike feat, a spellcaster delivering a touch attack spell, and a creature with natural physical weapons all count as being armed (see natural attacks).
Note that being armed counts for both offense and defense (the character can make attacks of opportunity).
Unarmed Strike Damage: An unarmed strike from a Medium character deals 1d3 points of bludgeoning damage (plus your Strength modifier, as normal). A Small character's unarmed strike deals 1d2 points of bludgeoning damage, while a Large character's unarmed strike deals 1d4 points of bludgeoning damage. All damage from unarmed strikes is nonlethal damage. Unarmed strikes count as light weapons (for purposes of two-weapon attack penalties and so on).
Dealing Lethal Damage: You can specify that your unarmed strike will deal lethal damage before you make your attack roll, but you take a –4 penalty on your attack roll. If you have the Improved Unarmed Strike feat, you can deal lethal damage with an unarmed strike without taking a penalty on the attack roll.

GM Iron-Dice |

Haley and Masao;
Thanks for the rules explanation. I'll be able to remember that going forward.
I'll do a minor retcon for that turn using the unarmed strike RAW, so the grappled gob will be knocked unconscious instead of killed.
Today's post will most likely be in the evening as I got a late start today and need to get some work out to clients before crossing the threshold into Golarion.
