Having few options to help deal with the ghost left to him Pratavh generates a field of insight to his allies.
Standard Act: Activate Aura of Precience (+2 insight to attacks/damage/saves/skills/abil checks).

The oni cackles evilly and a crackling bolt of darkness spits out of it's toothed mouth to hit Pratavh! Dread Bolt: 3d8 ⇒ (6, 1, 6) = 13
Pratavh invokes the power of the void to grant +2 to most things!
Alwyn slashes powerfully at the Zebub and almost cuts it in two. Somehow it's still flying however!
The large shadow continues it's assault on Mohktar! The creature swipes and Mohktar tries to dance back, as the protection from evil spell deflects the horror, but it pushes past his arcane defenses to sap his strength with a blast of icy cold that instantly numbs the Monk's body!
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14Strength Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1
The small shadow sends it's undead claws deeply into the cowering boy who cries out and falls silent!
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19Strength Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
The ghostly sorceress laughs evily along with the Oni and points at Pratavh while casting a spell! A an arc of acid leaps from her skeletal fingers, to soak Pratavh, it then arcs to Lilly and Mohktar!

Nice attack Lilly

DM Fang Dragon |

Ouch. Lets just double check the maths here.
Lilly dmg:
1d8 = weapon
+3 = 16 str
+3 = ?
+2 = inspire
+6 = ?
+1d4 = ?
Shikyomaru dmg:
1d8 = weapon
+4 = 20-1 str
+4 power attack
+1 weapon enhancement
+2 inspire courage
+2 Aura of Prescience
= 13, did I miss a buff?

DM Fang Dragon |

@Shikyomaru ah right cool. Don't you also multiple str by 1.5?
@Lilly inspire is not +3 till level 11. Where did the +6 come from? Why 1d4 fire - the flaming enchantment is +1d6

Lilly Hennett |

+6 is power attack. You've seen me use it plenty in falcon's hollow. ;)
Edit: my power attack should be +4 instead of +6, since i'm short 2 BaB.

DM Fang Dragon |

I don't mind you all doing lots of damage, I just want to know where it comes from. It's quite easy to add things which don't stack by mistake. Anyway inspire is +2 :) Also this is basically the second combat so it's not surprising there a few little kinks to work out.
Lilly wipes the smile off the spirit woman's face with a savage attack. An attack that would have outright killed a human, but the ghostly woman has not be a human for a very long time, still her laugh turns into a ghostly wail that rattles the windows... Incorporeal undead ftw. No she's not a banshee.
Shikyomaru's blade shreds the shadow which dissipates into several pools of inky darkness which rapidly fade into nothingness...
The remaining Zebub attacks Pratavh fluttering around annoyingly. The first attack is turned by Pratavh's shielding but the second one allows the nuisance to bite his arm!

Snake Style
You watch your foe's every movement and then punch through its defense. Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus on Sense Motive checks, and you can deal piercing damage with your unarmed strikes. While using the Snake Style feat, when an opponent targets you with a melee or ranged attack, you can spend an immediate action to make a Sense Motive check. You can use the result as your AC or touch AC against that attack. You must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed.

DM Fang Dragon |

Been a real busy day at work, although I'm home now - should be able to post.
Mohktar pummels the spirit repeatedly, she seems shocked that his fists hurt her so. She snarls her defiance but not before Lilly channeling the power of heaven causes the spells fueling the ghostly sorceress's unlife to fray and come undone. You see demonic hands appear out from several blood red gates that grab hold of the shrieking woman, who frantically screams and tries to escape but to no avail, their merciless grip is like iron. A hideous hellish landscape is briefly visible as a larger portal appears and the woman is dragged away sobbing and screaming! Slowly the portals fade before rapidly vanishing, leaving a feint whiff of sulfur! The hideous Oni mask falls to the floor and crumbles into dust.
Nothing happens for a long moment, everything is still before you notice something very strange happen. The house starts to get brighter by increments, and grime and detritus from the battle starts disappearing. Damage done to the walls starts to repair itself, and the very air seems to change, reminding you more of a pine forest after the rain rather than a midden as before.
COMBAT OVER
After a thorougher search, you find several gallons of very strong acid and a number of bodies stuffed into various cupboards, all with
their insides burnt. An examination of the corpse of the "boy" Pradip reveals that he was more than he seemed. He had a beautiful golden headband on that you didn't notice, along with some rather well made bracers and an amulet. Forgotten in one of the bedrooms you find a diary. More than the items the biggest surprise was that he was actually a she and a Kitsune she at that, which maybe explains things!
Bracers: Spellcraft DC 22
Headband: Spellcraft DC 23
Amulet: Spellcraft DC 24
Diary: DC 20 linguistics to decipher, or maybe magic will help

Lilly Hennett |

Oho, i'm gonna have fun with that info.
Lilly's eyes are no short of surprise at the sudden hell and damnation scene unfolding. She's shortly silent.

Upon the items, Lilly casts guidance prior to every check.

Very dead, he had 9 str and was drained of 11 str. Also "he" was female kitsune sorceress. The diary might contain some useful info :)

Pratavh |

Pratavh, seeing the child is dead, says a brief prayer for the girl. Hirati, on the other hand, flies to the girls side and starts nudging her, "Fox girl? Wake up fox girl. Please wake up." Realizing the girl isn't waking up, Hirati begins crying as she flies into Pratavh and clings to his chest, "Bring her back Pratavh, please bring her back, I will do anything, I will be a good girl and not cause trouble ever again, just please bring her back" Pratavh just holds Hirati, "I am afraid that is beyond my powers to deal with Hirati, I am sorry." He looks to the others, "Would any of you wish to have her brought back? I will pitch in a significant amount of the cost to do so."

Alwyn looks up to Pratavh, "Yes, I would pitch in as well."

Oddly the smells of cooking come from the kitchen, it actually smells quite nice - like somebody or something is cooking bread.

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
The delicious smell of something cooking in the kitchen slowly draws Alwyn back out of his preoccupation with the little one's slowly chilling body. Gently laying the kitsune down, he follows his nose, noticing as he goes that the house is brighter than it was when they arrived. "Uh guys you might want to see this...." Pointing towards the small blackboard with its apology.
Remembering the diary, Alwyn pages through it to see if anything is legible.
linguistics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 barely, what did we find?

Lilly Hennett |

Lilly was sad the little one had died, kicking over a piece of junk lying about out of frustration.
"Hm? Something up?"
She sees the chalk's writing.
..."It's you, isn't it fox girl?
Do you want to depart or would you want to live again? We..."i", promised to protect you, in all the commotion we failed."

Mohktar sē Bāharaurori |

शांति
स्थिरता
मौन
The death of their charge weighs heavily on Mohktar. In his world, life and death is a dance. Balance and position and emotion as the two commit to the music of the universe. For mortals, such a dance requires care. One misstep and a person could find themselves trampled under. All the practice and education and passion with which one took to the dance determined the outcome. When death takes the lead and the music stops, what did your attentions to life determine about your fate? Ultimately, it is the dancer's responsibility to mind their steps.
Mohktar whispers an offertiry prayer to Pharasma to ferry the dead to the other side and beyond the reach of whatever curse the house possessed to bind souls to it.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
At Lilly's inquiry, Mohktar rests a gentle hand on her shoulder. "We, promised." He emphasizes. "What is the nature of this place that it binds souls to its timbers? Are we to see the nature of that bound soul in the appearance of this place?" He gestures to the redecorated home, the brighter look and feel of the place.
@GM: Does Mohktar still have the -2 to Str? I want to make sure I work it into RP and also adjust his stats accordingly.

I've been super busy again at work today. @Mohktar yes all str drain from the shadows needs to be healed.
The diary contains an account of how Pradip and his extended family came to be in the city. They grew up in the countryside where they were mistrusted and discriminated against. They traveled to Nissan in the hopes of a better life.
Initially things looked up for half starving they found a refuge of sorts in the azuth house. The house sensed their needs and provided food and shelter and they stayed here for several winters. The house had a number of disconcerting properties that made long term habitation difficult. For example when they woke up each morning the house wasn't always in the same place or even city. The layout also changed from time to time, growing when more people were stating and shrinking at other times.
The food and decoration would change based on some inscrutable schedule seemingly influenced by the current guests's home nations.
About six months ago disaster struck, a sorceress of some power called Condeleeza turned up blooded and bruised. The house duly cared for her and based on her powerful need to kill in order to avoid being dragged to hell (contracts written in blood are bad news) it attempted to shield her as best it could.
Condeleeza started killing guests and Pradip and her fellow foxes tried to confront her. They were outmatched and she outright killed several of them and enslaved the rest. She forced them to steal or lure people into the trap so Condeleeza could slay them to sate the contract. Slowly Condeleeza killed Pradip's family, one every time they rebelled and eventually only she was left.
Condeleeza had gone insane by this time, driven mad by the foul worship of Delevi. Believing she would become closer to that goddess, she imbibed a huge quantity of acid in a foul rite. After an excruciating death she was rewarded with unlife, tied to the house.
Pradip mentions several times that she tried to kill herself rather than obey but she lacked the courage and was soundly beaten. She laments that hell surely waits for her for aiding and abetting a monster.

Pratavh |

Still holding a distraught Hirati gently, Pratavh reads through the journal with everyone. He is rather astounded by what he deduces from it though. When he speaks, it is very quiet, almost as if in shock, "I think we may have a problem, or possibly a lucky break, it depends on your point of view I suppose. We are no longer on the material plane, at least I do not believe so, I believe we have entered a demi-plane when we stepped into the house, or possibly onto the grounds themselves. It is possible we will not return to where we were when we leave here." He begins murmuring to himself and taking notes, "This place could be very useful, I wonder if I could someone make a way to access it at will from wherever I am at a given time. Hmmm, maybe I could find a way to anchor a doorway to it, temporarily of course, or maybe..." His mumbled words become increasingly quiet as he talks to himself.
