Alexis starts looking around.

"Keep in mind the real reason we were sent here. Anyone can fetch a bottle of wine - but a true adventurer sees farther than their own eyes can, and reaches for higher than anything their hands can grasp."

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

True to her stated maxim, Alexis sees numerous things in the crowded storage room that are of far more of interest to her than just a bottle of fine wine (that, and the sudden pressure for time may have caused her to be uncharacteristically hasty in finishing her own drink).

Grax looks under the plank and sighs, shaking his head. "I have no idea how to shore it up enough that I'd be confident walking across it." He glances at the other side of the chasm. "But if I wasn't carrying all your stupid stuff, Javon, I could probably jump it."

The half-orc drops his pack and begins removing his armor. Once finished, he ties the scale mail to the pack and then heaves the whole thing across the hole. Then he gets a running start and leaps the distance, barely making it.

Acrobatics, take 10: 10 + 1 = 11

Grand Lodge

Thrush Sage Familiar (HP: 24/24 | AC: 17/16/15 | F+1 R+4 W+2 | Init +2 | Percep +9 SM +2 )

Javon squawks and flaps his wings as Grax hurls the pack across the chasm. "Gerald! Watch what you're doing, you fool! I have important items in there, not the least to mention is a flask of alchemist's fire!" When the pack doesn't erupt into flames, he seems to settle down to just annoyed.

"I pay you to carry my things, not hurl them onto the ground! I...I do pay you, yes? I believe I do. Anyway, the Lodge will sort it out. Just please be more careful!"

"Hmpf...."

He then dons his splintmail. Once again ready, he nods to the others.

Since you've already started jumping it probably doesn't matter, but I'll allow Knowledge (Engineering) to work for shoring up the stability of the board.

Javon spots some spare lumber that could help reinforce the bridge, but before he can point it out, a few more enterprising members of the group have already leaped across the gap.

When a Guinfa tries to extract the bottle, the wine rack slides back into a short stone tunnel that leads a hidden room.

A sturdy silver chain jutting from the ceiling ends in a glowing orb that radiates yellow light across the rectangular room. A simple desk of polished wood, stacked with documents and scattered notes, shelters a pair of wooden chests against the south wall. Naran stares into his palm as tongues of flame begin to rise from it, then literally leaps from calm contemplation to manic action in the blink of an eye, whipping into the room, flaming hand extended until he shoves it right into the other spider's face.

He casts touch of combustion (Reflex DC 14 to negate all effects beyond the initial touch attack damage) prior to entering melee (because that is in fact kosher, as I understand), then moves to deliver it.

The Red Spider is for immediate immolating and combusting only; there is no bothering with its Green clone: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

Meanwhile, Alexis calmly makes her way toward the mysterious desk on the far side of the room - her apparent obliviousness to the dangers on both side of her is in fact only calm confidence. She pivots to her left, and the space around her momentarily descends (or does it ascend?) into an eerie gloaming as she raises her hand in the direction of the spider facing Grax, which is suddenly swarmed by the baleful twinkling of pale stars.

For the next round, the Green Spider sheds light as a candle, cannot benefit from concealment or invisibility effects, and takes a –1 penalty on attack rolls and sight-based Perception checks - unless it happens to be one of the sightless variety of spiders, in which case none of that happens.

After that we could go to search for Arkath mausoleum and search the key. But I opt for knowing first about the people involved
