As Voren pulls his hood over his head, Flynn places a hind on his arm.
"Thank you, Voren. The wounds were painful, but I wanted to save healing for our charges if needed."
Grinning he continues"I haven't met any other Tieflings before, but I try to judge a man by his actions not his shape. Your a good man."
Flynn will mosey along at the back with Avenia and Aravashnial. Not really talking just walking quietly, and helping guide where necessary.
------------------------
" What's the shouting about? I have little in the way of diplomatic skills, but I can try. If he doesn't go off the deep end from Voren's attempt to make him sleep... " Flynn asks as Osric looks and returns, and Voren moves ahead with Aurica.
Aurica Firehand
Voren- I can move you, but the square to Aurica's left is maaaybe one in which you'd be squeezing? Also, it would technically be more than 30' feet from the dwarf. If you want to be on the right side of Aurica, you'd be within 30' and not squeezing.
eta Bah, I counted it out and technically you can't reach the square to Aurica's right in a single move, unfortunately. You could stop a square behind her, and ready the hex if the guy gets within 30'? *shrug*

Very well. Errata: Move to the square behind her. Ready my hex to go when he gets within 30 feet.

Crazy Dwarf - 20% miss chance
Aurica tries in vain to reach out to the crazed mind of this strange, strange man, and Voren comes up alongside her, preparing to put him to sleep should he come within range. Instead, the dwarf begins to chant in guttural tones something that seems almost akin to dwarven, and yet not. His form begins to shift and waver, almost like a ripple in water, or like someone had partially scrubbed his being from existence but not done a particularly good job of it.
He then draws a scroll of some kind from a tube attached to his belt. It's a little ratty around the edges, though.
Any attacks on him will need to roll miss chance (21+ is a hit).
Party's up.
Reknar
Reknar wades into the cave after the others, longspear leading the way - "What's up with that one?" - he whispers to both Voren and Aurica, readying an attack if the dwarf moves towards them.
Alice, is Reknar still in 'orcish' form? Readying an attack if the dwarf decides to charge or something.
Reknar
Sweeeet. I was just thinking whether I would throw a Diplomacy at him or not - but in orc form... :D On the other hand, it got me thinking - dwarves don't really have the same view towards half-orcs as they do towards orcs, right? Initially I had said I would assume an 'half-orc' look (though admittedly orc would be cooler) - how different would a dwarf's reaction be vs. an unknown half orc from the one if he met an orc? I am being generic I know, was just thinking about it :D
GM Alice
The one thing I'll note is that Belkzen is not too far away from here, and as a result, generally speaking the local populace's opinion of orcs and half-orcs is worse than 'usual' for Golarion. Half-orcs are always going to be more respected than a full orc, no matter where you go, but it's kinda like asking "Which would you prefer, burning your hand in a fire pit or burning your hand in acid?" ... That said, orcs got nothin' on tieflings. ;)
Aurica Firehand
"Dammit, the crazy bugger's not in any mood to listen to sense," Aurica mutters. "And he's got some sorta magic!"
...and... drawing a scroll. Hell. She doesn't want to know what's on that bit of paper-- well, she does, but not when it gets cast on them as a spell...
She takes several steps forward, giving Voren, or anyone else, a chance and the room to do what they will.
"Drop the scroll, man!" she yells gruffly, raising her bow again. "We've no quarrel with you!"
A scroll has AC 9, 1 hit point, hardness 0, and a break DC of 8.
This would seem to imply to me that you can attack scrolls, so.
Readied bow shot, PBS: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 1 = 19

Jens Varmodsson
Jens makes his way into the cavern, squeezing through the narrower part of the tunnel. He starts moving into a defensive position, ready to cover the younger folk in front of him.
"She's right, lad," he calls, his Ulfen accent all but gone as he speaks slowly, calmly, deliberating over every syllable. "Why don't you put that scroll down and we'll talk this out?" Despite his calm tone, his sword is drawn, his shield arm ready to fly up at the slightest hint of danger.

Crazy Dwarf - 20% miss chance
The dwarf's gaze darts from person to person, his left eye twitching as the entire group files into view. Weapons are pointed his way, hexes half a second from being unleashed, and the crazed mage seems to hesitate. He licks his lips and lets the scroll flutter from his fingertips to the ground...
... but then he raises his hands yet again, and this time, a giant ball of sticky spiderweb forms in the space between his rough and calloused palms. Voren reaches out to whisper words of slumber into the dwarf's mind, but the combination of dwarven magic resistance and perhaps his madness make him impervious to such a tactic. Almost gently and carelessly the dwarf tosses his web-ball at the group, and the strands of sticky webbing land on the ground with a splat and immediately begin to snake outwards in all directions. Those who are not so quick-footed find themselves thoroughly bound!
Everyone needs to make a DC 15 Reflex save or be grappled. The web spell has a lot of miscellanea to it as well, so check it out.
Anevia Ref: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Aravashnial Ref: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Horgus Ref: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Aravashnial and Horgus, at the back of the group, have enough time to get out of the way of the creeping, crawling webs. (Horgus seems to have dragged Aravashnial to safety.) Anevia's natural quickness keeps her safe, although she's still stranded in a veritable maze of glimmering spider silk.
"You will stay there!" the dwarf hollers out; only Aurica and Voren can see him at this stage. "And you will tell me what you are doing here!!"
Aurica Firehand
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 5 + 2 = 24
Aurica was already on edge. She grits her teeth when he switches tactics and takes her slightly off-guard, but Aurica, with a nimbleness not usually seen by dwarves, perhaps, manages to dodge the gooping strands of web.
"Right, that's it," she growls in disgust. "I tried bein' nice, but you throw spells on us, then you an' I got a problem."
Aurica steps out of the web and barrels towards their new 'friend', dropping her bow as she runs. She intends to slam him into the stone wall and get her arms around his blurry outline, long enough for the others to come help...
Good intentions, anyway.
Move + grapple-- this will provoke if he threatens in any fashion: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Miss chance due to blur: 1d100 ⇒ 66
(And that's probably it for me for the next few days-- I'll try and check the boards each night, but if I don't manage to tag, Aurica's priorities would be maintaining the grapple/attempting to subdue the dwarf non-lethally. Good luck, my friends!)
(AC = 14 while grappling, can't use buckler, I imagine)

Mr. Crazy over here was certainly not expecting Aurica to just charge on out of his magical spiderwebs and then... launch herself at him. So shocked is he that, though he raises his axe in self-defense, Aurica simply barrels on through unheeded! Strong arms encircle his shoulders and roughly thrust him back against the cave wall, and the dwarf squirms pathetically against the imposition.
"Bah! Get off me, woman!" he grumbles, trying in vain to get Aurica off of him. "You won't be taking me back there!!! I know what you lot have in stock for me!!!"
Reknar
"Get that bastard Aurica!" - Reknar shouts from amidst the webbing, after spitting a particularly nasty strand that had gotten in his mouth.
Jens Varmodsson
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Squinting in the gloom of the cavern, Jens doesn't see the web erupting into existance until it's to late. His old body doesn't respond as quickly as it used to, and thick white strands loop around his arms and legs, splattering against his shield and wrenching his sword arm down, entangling his trunk-like legs and holding him tight.
Combat maneuver check (break free): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Combat maneuver check (move): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
With a grunt and a heave, the old Ulfen rips himself free of the goopy strands, bringing his sword arm back up where it belongs. Shield held high against any missiles the dwarf may have, magical or otherwise, he advances, somehow managing to place his massive feet in such a way as to avoid becoming stuck once more.
Standard action to break free, move action to move at 1/2 speed.
Voren the Outsider
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Voren nearly escapes the webs. But nearly is the key word, as he's wrapped up his legs stuck to the ground and his arms around his sides. He lets out a yelp in shock.
Escape Artist (break free): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
If I do need to make an Escape Artist check to move out of Webs:
Escape Artist (move): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Voren somehow manages to free himself despite his less than muscular physique. Maybe some latent demonic strength. {b]"Yes! I'm free!"[/b] he cries in joy. However, when he tries to move out, he gets stuck. The strands seem to come alive as they wrap around him, placing him in a near cocoon. "I'm fine for now! Stop him! Though, if some of you want to help, I wouldn't mind. If that's all right with you."
If I don't need to make an Escape Artist check to move out of Webs:
Voren somehow manages to free himself despite his less than muscular physique. Maybe some latent demonic strength. {b]"Yes! I'm free!"[/b] he cries in joy. He then steps out of the web area. He calls out, "I'm out!"

Osric and Anevia manage to force their way through the thick sheets of webbing, although the latter has some difficulty with it because of her broken leg. She hobbles up between Reknar, Flynn, and Jens, who are all trying to pull themselves free of the white, rubbery constraints gluing them to the floor, and offers you an encouraging smile. Osric, meanwhile, manages to scout a passage free of the web and emerges on the outskirts of it, much to his delight.
The crazed dwarf struggles with Aurica for a few moments, before with a mighty roar he pulls away from her grasp. "You'll never take Millorn again!" he declares rabidly, dashing towards another tunnel exit towards the north-east.
Jens Varmodsson
Combat maneuver check (move): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Barrelling through the web, Jens tears after the dwarf, determined to not let him escape - both because the group seems to want answers, and because the fool could alert all manner of under-dwellers to their presence. His heavy boots scrape on the stone as he charges for the passageway, blocking it with his large frame - feet planted firmly apart, shoulders squared, the large wooden shield acting as a barrier in the dwarf's way.
"You're not going anywhere," he growls, his voice a baritone rumble filled with the promise of pain.
Okay, since I broke free of the web last round, I assume I can move normally this round, as my combat maneuver check succeeded? Keeping into account that moving through 5' of web costs 10' of movement, I should be able to get to that passageway with a double move. I'll probably eat an AoO from the dwarf, but since I can't reach him to attack in this round, I'll focus on blocking his escape.
Aurica Firehand
"Oh bugger this, you slaghead," Aurica wheezes as the other dwarf elbows her in the gut and twists free of her arms.
"Let the crazy blighter go," she coughs to Jens. "Think he's more concerned with 'not gettin' caught' then hurtin us. Ow."
Obviously Jens doesn't have to do what Aurica suggests. ;) But as far as Aurica's concerned, the guy doesn't really seem to be a threat per se in that he's not casting damage-dealing spells, and he's just running, so she's okay with letting him go. Plus, hey, free scroll on the ground. ;)

Osric glances back at Aurica, then ahead at Jens. He quickly decides to race ahead and assist Jens with restraining the dwarf.

The dwarf raises his hand towards the cavern's roof, a trail of cyan magic crackling in the air like a ribbon following behind his gesture. The stream of blueish-green magic splits into two, both snaking around each other like a double-helix before abruptly shooting out unerringly at their target. They zip around Osric, ruffling his tunic before powerfully striking Jens in the chest, leaving him totally winded. The sensation is not unlike being punched in the gut right after a three-course meal. (You take 7 damage) Try as he might, Osric simply can't find an opening to strike the dwarf down before his spell goes off. (Successful concentration check.)
"MOVE!" he bellows at the Ulfen warrior, spittle flying from his lips. "MOVE OR YOU'LL NOT ENJOY WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!"

Jens grunts as the magical streams hit him in the sternum, knocking the air from his lungs and causing him to stumble. His shield briefly slips, having offered him no protection against the spell, and it takes all his effort to remain standing.
"Ég er óhreyfanlegri fjall; Ég er óvæginn skjöldur," he mutters, almost as a mantra, trying to regain his breath.
Talking is a free action, but I'm going to delay my single standard or move. Gonna find out whether we're going to kill him, subdue him, or let him go. Jens will react according to party actions, but in the meantime... he may be at 0 hp and staggered, but he ain't moving.

Coming out of delay~
Aurica's brows draw together again as she sees Jens get hit. Out of everyone in the ragtag group, she has the most respect for the aged human-- both as a veteran of past struggles against the demons, and for his years, which is something culturally ingrained in her.
It may not be the crazy bugger's fault he's crazy, but she won't stand by and watch one of their number be hurt, either. Any injury is one they can ill afford.
"You crazy bugger, I was gonna say you haven't hurt anythin' but our pride and tell them to let you go-- but that isn't true now, is it," Aurica growls, dashing forward again. She snatches her new warhammer as she goes and attempts to wallop the other dwarf in the gut with it, to knock the wind from him.

For the most part, the attacks levelled his way are clumsy; only Voren's crossbow manages to scratch past his cheek, drawing a short streak of blood, followed by a weak conk over the head by Osric's club. "Y-You're the cowards! Coming at me six versus one!!" He stutters, clenching his fists and releasing them over and over--a nervous tic of sorts, perhaps. "But I knew that about you crusaders already!!"
"Let me go and no-one else has to get hurt!!!" the dwarf shouts as he repositions slightly, gathering a strange swirling wave of rainbow colours between his hands--but in a guarded manner, one that is not easy for Aurica to interrupt. "I told you!!" Spreading his weathered palms as if he was raising them in surrender, the magic coursing out like a glimmering, colourful oil slick travelling down the surface of fast-running river.
