Ellara of the Hundred Forms |

Given the jury-rigging I had to do (*Shudders*), it took a bit, but I finally managed to make Ellara with the files all proper-like. XD
Sadly, it doesn't have an in-system thing for shapeshifting, so I'll have to do that by hand... but oh well. XD
(For anyone else that plans to get the files, they were only released to backers of the Kickstarter who ordered them. LWD should be making a full public release soonish.)

Kiyomi. |

Rednal,
I see an obvious link between Kiyomi and Ellara. We both have destruction with a focus in force and warp, and academy-trained. I've linked that to Gabal's academy and the Way of the Invisible Blade. (the warp is the blade cutting through dimensions). You could have spent some time at Gabal's and we'd know each other. Or possibly you could have been from a rival school and we'd know each of each other. I see Gabal's school very involved with dueling.

*Reads Kiyomi's background*
Probably different schools, I think. XD Ellara's as much an experiment as a member of the house, and definitely went to one of the best magic-focused schools to help develop her powers. So, probably a rival academy, then. (Not that she'd have cared. She was focused mainly on her own education, and the school was simply part of that.)
Despite the quality of her force blasts, though, Ellara's main field is shapeshifting. Her idea of combat is transforming into whatever would be most annoying for an opponent to face, then ruthlessly exploiting that. She's not much of a duelist, though - she prefers to use her own weapons, and she's a little too wild for most rule systems. So for one foe she might bulk up into a massive lizard form, for another she might give herself wings and blast people with force shots from above, or burrow underground and pop out for just a moment... she's very adaptable. Which, of course, is the point of playing a shapeshifter. XD
She might certainly know of Kiyomi, though, if your character was particularly distinguished. Ellara's presence wasn't exactly a secret (most people in the house, and at her own school, would know that she was part of an experiment with magic), so it'd be fairly reasonable to know of her, I think.

Kiyomi. |

No problem. Most people who follow the social scene would know of Kiyomi. Her mother was a famous courtesan and Kiyomi is her protégé. Most people consider her magic training to be dabbling in danger.
Kiyomi would definitely have tried to meet and make contacts with the other ladies. Even the unusual ones. She is open and friendly and generally avoids the worst of the cliquishness.
However, she is potentially a cousin to Ellara or Lady Karnelia. I'll let you two decide how close you are related to the men rumored to be her father and what your thoughts on that are.
And this is the first pathfinder game I've played where we have four humans in the party!

Ellara of the Hundred Forms |

Technically, Ellara's only mostly human... but yeah. XD
As for relationships, Ellara's related to most of her house. She doesn't actually have a father, more a... blob of life essence collected from several different people. It should be fun to see how all this develops over the course of the game, at least.

Ellara of the Hundred Forms |

*Raises hand*
I only noticed this when I was making Ellara in Hero Lab with the new files, but Fount of Life isn't as good as I thought (everything in it is lost when power is regained, rather than being a pool of health that carries over from day to day). Would you mind if I swapped it out?

My internet is acting up at home*, and at work I have to find time to post around doing the job they pay me for. So kindly robot me if I go missing. Apparently they know I've got a new game going. :)
*I've spent over 40 hours dealing with the cable company over various issues in the last two months! Yay!

Lady Karnelia |

So... I just found out that one of the feats I took, Distant Delivery, really doesn't do much for me: It 'should' allow the phantom to deliver touch spells farther than normal, except that the increase will quickly prove useless as, at high levels, it will be made meaningless by the phantom's actual limit distance from the spiritualist.
May I exchange this feat for something that isn't mechanically nonfunctional?

Julie Dei Vult |

I think a lot of the confusion comes from people conflating the two scenes. :P
Though Estoc woman is pretty unclear. I'd say she went for Ellara, given that the other two specifically went for Karnelia. Regardless, she missed.

Julie Dei Vult |

That is a non-spell point 3d6 attack, plus her constant 2d6 from elemental flux. Energy Channel, is a swift action buff to her next three attacks that grants 2x(Channel Energy Dice) damage.
In other words, allowing Julie to combine Vital Strike or Maneuvers with Lightning Blade would be a Very Bad Idea.

Ellara of the Hundred Forms |

...One of these days, I'm going to remember that I have Power Attack. XD I'm not too sure what her actual defense level is, though, so I'm mostly going for accuracy at the moment.

Ellara of the Hundred Forms |

A specific place in the city and a target for investigation? At least, the latter sounds like a name for me. XD
(Maybe a Know Local check to see if we recognize either?)

I think you'll be alright. If we have to stay together even when we aren't expecting combat, I think that'll really put a damper on the whole trying to lead the princess different ways thing later.

Ellara of the Hundred Forms |

For what it's worth, Ellara has no particular desire to control the princess (though she does want to help protect her, and aside from that, ensure nobody tries to mess with her own house too much). Basically, as long as the princess isn't lead to oppose House Khalavest, Ellara's happy. XD

Julie Dei Vult |

I feel like that is in character now. It's just that during the searchy findy social bits it didn't seem right for our band of not too mutually trusting characters to do so.
Can we say that during the time the others were searching and such, we called in the palace for someone to take bear man to safety in the palace? Or is the palace in a super bad way because of Queen Hysteria?

Julie Dei Vult |

Well, if you're giving us the out of character guarantee, I suppose we could leave him with the barkeep. Otherwise I admit reluctance to assuming the enemy only had enough money to hire six guys.

What is the nearby vender selling? Anything that I could browse for a bit while small talking? Also, does it look like a fairly permanent stall? I'm thinking about asking if he saw anything.
